1.Application Research on Assist/Control-Mode Ventilation of Newport E150 Ventilator

Objective To study the ventilatory regularity of assist/control-mode ventilation(AMV/CMV or A/C) of Newport E150 ventilator. Methods The mode selector was set to A/C, the ventilatory frequencies(f1) were set at 4,6 breaths per minute(bpm) respectively. The operator inspired to meet the trigger level through the Y piece connected to corrugated hoses within the inspiratory time of CMV in group A, and inspired at the fourth and 60?f1-1second from the beginning of CMV in group B and C respectively. The appearance of AMV and CMV were recorded from the beginning of CMV to the 4+60?f1-1second. The test was repeated 20 times in each group. Results AMV was not triggered and CMV appeared at the 60?f1-1 second in group A. AMV was triggered at the fourth second and CMV appeared at the 4+60?f1-1 second in group B. AMV was triggered at the 60?f1-1 second in group C. Conclusion AMV can be triggered at any time except inspiratory time of CMV. If the ventilator can't trigger the patient's inspiratory effort from the beginning of AMV to the 60?f1-1 second, the mode will switch to CMV automatically.
3.Direct Extraction of Diosgenin from Chuanshalong(Dioscorea nipponica) with HCl-Acetone Mixture

Rhizome of Dioscorea nipponica Mak. was allowed to ferment and disintegrate into a paste,cellulose wassifted away and the resulted residue was directly hydrolysed and extracted with HCl-acetone mixture(1: 5).After further hydrolysis for 4~ 6 hours,the solution,yielded diosgenin on addition of cold water,which afterrecrystallization gave a mp = 197~ 200℃.
4.Effect of Shujinhuoxuedingtong Wine on Microcircuiation of Experimental Mice

The method for examining the microcirculation bloodflow of mice mesentery was used to evaluate the action of Shujinhuoxuedingtong wine against microcirculation disturbance caused by adrenaline. The result indicates that the wine can obviously improve the microcirculation function and is responsible for the antistatic action observed. The wine's effect is found to be superior to that of Shujinhuoxuedingtong Powder. The above fingings suggest that the wine have the action of promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis and improving microcirculation and the effect of promoting the bloodflow perfusion quantity in tissue organs. It's effect is prior to that of powder.
5.Effects of Olmesartan Medoxomil on Blood Pressure Variability and Vascular Endothelial Function of Pa-tients with Mild and Moderate Essential Hypertension

OBJECTIVE:To explore the effects of olmesartan medoxomil on blood pressure variability(BPV)and vascular en-dothelial function of patients with mild and moderate essential hypertension. METHODS:Sixty patients with mild and moderate es-sential hypertension were included in study group,and other 60 healthy volunteers were included in control group. Study group was given olmesartan medoxomil 20 mg orally,qd,for 4 weeks,followed by same dose if their SBP≤140 mmHg and DBP<90 mmHg till 12th weekend;those patients with SBP>140 mmHg or DBP≥90 mmHg received double dose till 12th weekend. Aver-age blood pressure,BPV,FMD and NMD of study group were measured before and after treatment as well as the changes in se-rum concentrations of NO and ET,and then compared with control group. RESULTS:Compared with before treatment,average blood pressure,BPV and ET level of study groups were decreased significantly after treatment,serum level of NO was increased significantly,while FMD and NMD were improved significantly,with statistical significance (P<0.05);there was no statistical significance,compared with control group (P>0.05). There were 3 cases of mild diarrhea and 2 cases of mild dry cough,and they relieved after medication withont speical treatment. CONCLUSIONS:Olmesartan medoxomil can play a good effect on de-creasing blood pressure and is tolerable. It can also improve the vascular endothelial function.

10.Construction and identification of the transgenic plant vector recombinant pBI-Eg95 plasmid of Echinococcus granulosus

Objective To construct and identify the transgenic plant vector recombinant pBI-Eg95 plasmid of Echinococcus granulosus. Methods Total RNA was extracted from hydatid cyst protoscoleces of Echinococcus granulosus after sonication. A couple of specific primers were designed on the basis of known sequences of Eg95 gene. The desired gene was amplified by PCR technique from the cDNA, and then was cloned into the plant expression vector pBI121 to construct the recombinant pBI-Eg95 plasmid. The recombinant plasmid was electroporated into Agrobocterium tumefaciens (At) LBA4404 strain. The positive recombinant clones were confirmed by restriction endonuclease digestion and characterized by PCR. Results For RT-PCR, a specific band around 471 bp was amplified. The result of DNA sequencing of Eg95 showed the identity with the published sequence. The same band was obtained by restriction endonuclease digestion and PER from the plasmids of positive recombinant At(rAt). Conclusions The recombinant pBI-Eg95 plasmid was successfully constructed, and it provides the basis to further research of the transgenic plant vaccine of Echinococcus granulosus.
