2.Methods for identification of citrullinated proteins in tissue cells
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2017;30(4):421-426
Citrullination is a post-translational modification of arginine caused by peptidyl arginine deiminase in the presence of calcium ions.Up-regulation of citrullination plays a significant role in the progress of numerous disorders, and it has important physiologic and pathological significance.High-throughput and quantitative methods with high specificity and sensitivity are still needed to identify the citrullinated sites in tissue cells. With the development of chemical derivatization and mass spectrometry, new rapid and accurate proteomics technology still has a good prospect of development and application. This article aimed to provide new ideas and directions to identify the citrullinated sites in the complex biological samples by introducing strategies available to identify citrullinated peptides, such as color development reagent analysis, immunodetection and mass spectrometry.
3.Strategies to improve the surgical treatment of portal hypertension
Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2016;15(7):665-667
The surgical treatment for portal hypertension (PHT) aims to control and prevent the gastroesophageal variceal bleeding. The choices of surgical timing and procedures are dependent on the liver reserve function.Except for Child-Pugh classification and model for end-stage liver disease scoring system, the future liver remrant and pre-albumin are the important evaluation indexes, meanwhile, the choice of surgical procedures would be dependent on portal hemodynamics that can reduce incidence of rebleeding of postoperative hepatic encephalopathy.Hepatic venous pressure gradient is the most important objective index forecasting bleeding risk and severity of PHT.

Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2016;23(7):101-103
Objective To establish the methods of microbial limit test for three kinds of preparations with heavy metals, such asDingxian Pills,Pizhi Lotion andJiawei Huangqin Ointment. Methods According to Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010, the recovery rates of bacteria, fungus and yeast treated by three preparations were detected. And the methods of testing control bacteria were also validated. Results Culture medium dilution method was proved to be applicable forDingxian Pills. Culture medium dilution method combined with pre-filtration method was proper for Pizhi Lotion. And the extraction method was adopted forJiawei Huangqin Ointment. The recovery rates of these five validation strains reached 70% by appropriate methods. And the same methods were used for validation of the control bacteria. Conclusion The methods of microbial limit test for these three different preparations were established through this study.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2007;0(02):-
To obtain the sound speed data of the right calcaneus of adults in different ages in Guangdong province,we measured the speed of sound of right calcaneus of 224 adults aged 20 to 70 years by the OSTEOSPACE type ultrasound bone densitometry(MEDILINK Company in France) .The results showed that the maximum of the right calcaneus speed of sound occurred at the age of 31-40 years in female(1 591.61?38.14) m/s and 21-30 years in male(1 600.66?30.09) m/s.After the right calcaneus speed of sound reached the maximum,it began to decrease with the age in both male and female. The right calcaneus speed of sound decreased significantly at the age of 41-50 years in male, and at 51-60 years in female. The speed of sound in female at the age of 21-30 years is markedly lower than that in male. The experiment indicates that the speed of sound of right calcaneus decreases with age after reaches the peak. That the speed of sound decreases significantly in male is earlier than that in female.

Ophthalmology in China 1993;0(01):-
Objective To investigate the cataract patients' awareness on the cataract diseases, treatment and major obstacles for patients to seek eye care. Design Prospective cross-sectional study. Participants All 251 patients in Jiangyan county were screened by the group of eye diseases selection in 6 months for cataract treatment performed by prevention blind surgery group. Methods Patients accepted surveys before operation. The patient's awareness questionnaire was developed in Aravind Eye Hospital, India. Main outcome measures Awareness of eye disease, awareness of treatment, obstacles of therapy and false treatment. Results 89.6% of patients were aware of the occurrence of eye disease for more than 1 year. However, it was only 0.12% of patients when they realized that their eye diseases could be treated more than 1 year, the time less than 6 months was 31.9%,and the time less than 1 month was 65.7%. The major obstacles for seeking eye care were still able to see a little, economic reason, no demand for operation, short of belief for the operation, etc. Conclusions It's high necessary and imperative to educate patient the knowledge of eye health and care. Developing economy is the radical measure in a long run to improve the cataract surgical rate (CSR) in our country. Low price service and high quality surgery is the key of improving CSR at present.
