Objective To detect the expression of DNA damage response genes induced by radiation in human peripheral blood lymphocyte, and to explore the new biomarkers of radiation. Methods The human peripheral blood cells were irradiated to X-rays at different doses of 0,1,2,3,4,and 5 Gy.The quantitative real.time qPCR wag used to detect the expressions of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor l a gene(Cdknl a)and growth arrest and DNA damage inducible gene(Gadd45a)in lymphoeytes at 4 and 24 h post-irradiation,respectively.The method of CB mieronucleus was used to determine the change of micronucleus ratio. Results The expression of Cdknl a in peripheral blood lymphocytes wag increased significantly at 4 and 24 h post-irradiation to 0-5 Gy.reached the peak at 4 Gy and began to decrease at 5 Gy,which showed a dose-dependent manner(r=0.946,0.975,P<0.05).Similarly,the expression of Gadd45α in human peripheral blood lymphocytes was also increased significantly at 4 and 24 h post-irradiation to 0-5 Gy in a dose-dependent manner, while the expression of Gadd45a at 4 h wag higher than that at 24 h(r=0.936,0.797,P<0.05).The ratio of micronuclei wag increased significantly at 4 and 24 h post-irradiation to 0-5 Gy(r=0.990,0.984,P<0.05).Conciusions Cdknl a and Gadd45α expression could be increaged significandy at 4 and 24 h post-irradiation to 0-5 Gy,showing a good linear relationship.which might be candidate for radiation biological dosimeter.

Radiation safety has been a focus of attention in the past few years. This review summarizes the researches related to the effective dose (ED) of PET/CT in recent years, including the ranges and influential factors of ED. In order to provide guidance in clinical practice, the common methods for estimating ED of PET/CT are also introduced.

A rapid UPLC method for simultaneous determination of protocatechuic acid, coumarin, cinnamic alcohol, cinnamic acid and cinnamaldehyde in Cinnamomi Ramulus was established. The optimal conditions of separation and detection were achieved on an HSS T3 Column (2.1 mm x 100 mm, 1.8 microm) eluted with a gradient of acetonitrile and 0.05% aqueous phosphoric acid, at a flow rate of 0.5 mL x min(-1), detected at 254 nm. The linear response ranges of protocatechuic acid, coumarin, cinnamic alcohol, cinnamic acid and cinnamaldehyde were 0.359-3.59 mg x L(-1) (r = 0. 999 3), 2. 834-28.34 mg x L(-1) (r = 0.999 8), 0.574-5.74 mg x L(-1) (r = 0.999 8), 2.400-24.00 mg x L(-1) (r = 0.999 9), 32.57-325.7 mg x L(-1) (r = 0.999 8), respectively (n = 6). The mean recoveries (n = 9) of the five components were 96.7%-101.0%, RSD < 2.3%. The assay demonstrates that the method has adequate accuracy and selectivity to measure the concentration of protocatechuic acid, coumarin, cinnamic alcohol, cinnamic acid and cinnamaldehyde in Cinnamomi Ramulus.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the efficacy of catheter aspiration or combined with thrombolysis in the treatment of superior mesenteric artery embolism(SMAE).
METHODSClinical and imaging data of 25 SMAE patients who underwent catheter aspiration or combined with urokinase thrombolysis in the First People's Hospital and the Second People's Hospital of Changzhou from January 2005 to July 2013 were retrospectively analyzed.
RESULTSTwenty patients were confirmed as SMA trunk embolism and 5 as SMA branch artery embolism. The embolic SMA trunks were completely recannulated by catheter aspiration in the above 20 cases, but small emboli embolized distal branch artery in 6 cases. These 6 patients plus above 5 patients with branch artery embolism received catheter aspiration combined with thrombolytic therapy. Among these 11 patients, complete open, partial open and non-open of branch arteries were found in 5, 3, 3 cases respectively, while collateral circulation increased significantly in non-open patients. During the follow-up period of (4.1±2.2) months, clinical symptom relief and digestive function recovery were observed in 24 cases. Only one case underwent bowel resection because of intestinal necrosis 24 hours after treatment and developed short bowel syndrome.
CONCLUSIONCatheter aspiration or combined with thrombolysis is a safe and effective method in treating SMAE.

This study was aimed to analyze the value of the SPECT MPI to myocardial ischemia and cardiac function parameters in the CAD prognosis assessment. A total of 890 patients with suspected CAD underwent adenosine loading stress gated SPECT. At a mean follow-up of (2.3 +/- 0. 4) year, a total of 37 adverse events occurred, including 12 cardiac deaths and 25 nonfatal myocardial infarctions. Univariate Cox analysis showed that diabetes (wald 6.95, P < 0.01), SSS (wald 24.31, P < 0.001), EF (wald 17.14, P < 0.001), ESV (wald 8.58, P < 0.01) and EDV (wald 7.95, P < 0.01) were significant predictors of MACEs. Multivariate Cox analysis showed that SSS (wald 6.69, P < 0.05) and EF (wald 4.70, P < 0.05) were independent predictors. According to the results, SSS and EF are both independent predictors of MACEs.
