Modern Clinical Nursing 2016;15(1):28-31
Objective To explore the self efficacy of newly-contracted nurses in a tumor hospital in Guangzhou and to find out the related factors. Methods By convenience, cluster sampling method, 333 newly-contracted nurses from a tumor hospital in Guangzhou were recruited in the study. The general self-efficacy scale (GSES) and a self-designed demographic questionnaire were used to look into their self-efficacy and explore the related factors. Results The average score of self efficacy was (2.67 ± 0.41). The level of self-efficacy was related to education and the type of hospital for internship. Nurse with bachalor degree and graduated from comprehensive hospital had higher self-efficacy. Conclusions The self efficacy of the newly contracted nurses is intermediate. The education level and the type of hospital for internship both influence the level of self efficacy. The special hospitals should strengthen the teaching and training of students and lay stress on developing their capacity to prepare them for the job.

Objective To investigate the p33~ ING1b mRNA level and the relationship to clinical pathological data in primary hepatocellular carcinoma(PHC).Methods Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method was employed to detect the mRNA level of p33~ ING1b in liver cancer tissues and adjacent tissues of cancer.Results p33~ ING1b mRNA was positive expression in 63.6% (35/55) cancer tissues and 70.9% (39/55) adjacent tissues of cancer.The expression level of p33~ ING1b mRNA in cancer tissues (0.410?0.175) was significantly lower than that in adjacent tissues of cancer (0.529?0.203). The level of p33~ ING1b was significantly associated with pathological grades, lymph node metastasis and envelope infiltration, but not associated with sex, age, tumor size, tumor thrombus or liver cirrhosis.Conclusion The decrease of p33~ ING1b may play an important role in the tumorigenesis and development of PHC, and may be an adjuvant parameter in evaluating tumor differentiation, invasion and prognosis.

Objective To approach the cause and treatment of complications during and immediately after percutaneous balloon mitral valvuloplasty. Methods One thousand three hundred and eleven patients with mitral stenosis were treated by percutaneous transseptal balloon mitral valvuloplasty. Among them, 42 patients with complications were retrospectively analyzed. Results The overall complications rate was 3.2% (42/1 311) including atrial fibrillation 0.8%(10/1 311), acute pericardial tamponade 0.31%(4/1 311), severe mitral insufficiency 0.46% (6/1 311), femoral arterial venous fistula 0.69% (9/1 311), acute pulmonary edema and iatrogenic atrial septal defect 0.23%(3/1 311), respectively. Coronary air embolism, arterial thrombosis and transient cerebrovascular accident was 0.15%(2/1 311) for every other one. Balloon rupture was 0.08%(1/1 311).Conclusions The complications of percutaneous balloon mitral valvuloplasty rarely occur. It is a safe and efficient nonsurgical method for treating rheumatic mitral stenosis.

Objective To study the cytogenetic changes in HPV-immortalized cells(SHEE)for further investigating the esophageal carcinogenesis. Methods Giemsa staining was used to show the modal number of chromosomes.G-banding was done to observe the chromosomal aberrations.Fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)of the interphase nuclei with the centromere probes of chromosome 1,7 and 8 were performed to determine the numerical abnormalities. Results The modal numbers at passage 10 and 20 were 58-63 and 57-64, respectively.Passage 61 had a bimodal distribution 58-61 and 63-65.The structural aberrations could almost be found in all of karyotypes.The following structural aberrations were identified:1.del(1)(q12);2.del(1)(p32);3.der(4),t(4;?)(q31;?);4.der(5),t(5:?)(q31;?).FISH results showed that trisomy 1 and tetrasomy 7 markedly increased with the increase of passages and disomy 8 kept in faint change in all passages.Conclusion The modal number moved right slowly in the graph of the modal distribution and the increases of chromosomal numbers were in imbalance with increases of passages of SHEE.The structural aberrations of chromosome were found in most of karyotypes.Our results suggest that the cell immortalization is a multistep process involved in the multiple chromosomes.;
