Objkctive To determine the potential ability of the area of each peak for the proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy(1 H-MRS) in the diagnosis of DNS(Delayed neuropsychological sequelae after carbon monoxide poisoning). Methods MRI and STEAM(stimulated-echo-acquisition mode)were performed in 38 DNS patients and 18 healthy volunteers. The area of the peak of each organic compound were obtained in each volume of interest. Results The data spectra abtained from patients shows NAA(881±76),Cho(2 352 ±86),β、γGlx(3 024 ± 187).Compared with the control group, theβ、γGlx ratio and Cho area increased, but the NAA ratio decreased. The area of NAA,Cho,β、γGlx between DNS and control group were compared, the results showed significant differences (P <0.05).In spectroscopy, the Lip evaluated peak in 0.9~1.40 ppm were detected. Conclusion 1H-MRS may do some contribution to the diagnosis of DNS.

Purpose:
Hyperoxia-induced bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a lung disease in preterm infants. We aimed to explore the role of cell division cycle 2 (CDC2) on histopathologic changes of lung tissues, as well as the viability, apoptosis, and inflammation of lung cells in rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD.
Materials and Methods:
Hyperoxia-induced BPD in neonatal rats and hyperoxia-induced A549 cells were constructed. The mRNA expression of CDC2 was detected by qRT-PCR. The fibrosis score of lung tissues was evaluated by hematoxylin-eosin staining. The viability and apoptosis of A549 cells were detected by cell counting kit-8 assay and flow cytometry. The protein expressions of bcl-2, bax, and caspase-3 were measured by western blot. The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-1β in A549 cells were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The pcDNA3.1-CDC2 was injected into rats to determine the role of CDC2 in hyperoxia-induced BPD in vivo.
Results:
The expression of CDC2 was decreased in lung tissues of neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD and hyperoxia-induced A549 cells. The fibrosis score was increased in the lung tissues of neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD. Overexpression of CDC2 increased the viability and protein expression of bcl-2; and inhibited the apoptosis, inflammation, and protein expression of bax and caspase-3 in hyperoxia-induced A549 cells. Up-regulation of CDC2 alleviated the histopathologic changes in lung tissues of neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD.
Conclusion
Overexpression of CDC2 promoted the viability and inhibited the apoptosis and inflammation of hyperoxia-induced cells, and alleviated the histopathologic changes of lung tissues in neonatal rats with hyperoxia-induced BPD.

Objective To analyze the relationship between the measured diameters of pituitary gland on MRI and peak-stimulated growth hormone(GH) in children with growth hormone deficiency (GHD).Methods A total of 46 children with GHD were included in this study, and 30 healthy children who were admitted to the hospital for health check-up were acted as the control group during the same period. The measured diameters of pituitary gland on MRI were compared between the two groups and the correlation between the diameters of pituitary gland on MRI and peak-stimulated GH were analyzed. Results ① The coronary and sagittal heights of pituitary gland on MRI were greater in children aged 7-10 years old and older than 10 years in control group and in children older than 10 years in observation group than those in children younger than 6 years (P<0.05).The anteroposterior diameter of pituitary gland on sagittal MRI in the control group was increased (P<0.05).The coronal height, sagittal anteroposterior diameter and sagittal height were lower in the observation group compared with age-and gender-matched controls(P<0.05).②The peak-stimulated growth hormone levels were higher in children aged 7-10 years old and older than 10 years in both groups compared with children younger than 6 years old (P<0.05).The peak-stimulated GH were lower in observation group compared with age-and gender-matched controls(P<0.05).③ The heights of pituitary gland on coronary and sagittal MRI in children with GHD were positively related to the peak-stimulated GH, and coronary height had the highest correlation(P<0.05).Conclusion The heights of pituitary gland on coronary and sagittal MRI in children with GHD are positively related to the peak-stimulated GH.The growth and development of children can be predicted by monitoring the changes of GH levels.

Objective To explore the prognosis and management of atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients with atrial septal defect(ASD) accompanied by AF after transcatheter closure of ASD. Methods During the period from July 2010 to May 2013, a total of 24 patients with ASD accompanied by AF were admitted to authors’ hospital to receive transcatheter closure of ASD. Electrocardiogram (ECG), chest X-ray film and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) were performed before and one day after the operation. Follow-up information was obtained through telephone or at out-patient clinic interview. Results Successful occlusion of ASD was obtained in all patients, and in no patient the AF rhythm turned to sinus rhythm after the procedure. In one patient preoperative AF turned to postoperative atrial flutter, and AF recurred in one case who had received transcatheter ablation of AF before the procedure. One female patient developed gastric bleeding during the course of orally taking warfarin, and she died of cerebral infarction at three days after ceasing the use of warfarin. Of the 24 patients, no anticoagulant drug was used in 5 (20.8%), oral administration of aspirin was given in 7 (29.2%), and oral medication of warfarin was employed only in 11 (45.8%). Conclusion The spontaneous conversion rate of AF is very low in patients with ASD complicated by AF after transcatheter closure of ASD. Postoperative medication of anticoagulation should be strictly standardized and carefully managed.

【Objective】 To construct an in-vitro model of erythrocyte antibody-mediated complement activation, and establish quantitative detection methods based on flow cytometry and spectrophotometry, so as to explore the correlation of anti-body titers and complement activation speed, and provide a methodological basis for studying the adverse transfusion reactions of anti-body mediated complement hemolysis. 【Methods】 Mouse monoclonal antibody that recognized human C3b and fluorescent secondary antibody were used to label C3b fragments on erythrocytes, and the deposition of C3b fragments after complement activation was detected by flow cytometry. The absorbance at 540 nm of the supernatant in the complement activation reaction system was measured by spectrophotometry as the amount of hemoglobin released was related to the absorbance. 【Results】 The complement activation system was constructed according to the ratio of 3% red blood cell suspension (mixed for 6 people) 1∶anti-Tja 1∶complement 2. The repeatability was good (P value>0.05) as different red blood cell mixtures had been used to repeat the detection reaction system. When using 32×, 64× and 128× dilutions of anti-Tja mediated complement activation, the deposition of C3b fragments has been detected by flow cytometry at 30 s, 1 min and 2 min, respectively, and MFI peaked at 5 min, 10 min and 30 min, respectively. No obvious hemolysis has been observed within 1.5 h. 【Conclusion】 In vitro model of anti-Tja-mediated complement activation demonstrates the speed of complement activation is related to the concentration of antibody. At a certain antibody concentration, the speed of complement activation has been slowed down, and no obvious hemolysis observed.
