Ribs were obtained from 110 individuals undergoing thoracostomy. Bone marrow from these ribswas cultured on agar plates. The average number of cell colonies formed on the agar plates was 164?10.4/2?105 nucleated cells (33.4+-571.6/2?105 nucleated cells). Factors which might affect theculture were counting method for the mono-nucleated cells, the method of cell separation, and the use of horse serum.

Medical postgraduate, mastering modern medical theory and clinical skills, should know the basic knowledge and skills of modern rehabilitation medicine well. So it is necessary to bring rehabilitation medicine course into the core curriculum of clinical medicine graduate degree.
3.Advance in Evaluation and Rehabilitation of Mild Cognitive Impairment after Stroke(review)

This paper reviewed the Methods of evaluation and rehabilitation of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) after stroke. The Results showed that the Methods of evaluation included Mini Mental State Examination(MMSE), three Methods designed by The National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke(NINDS) and The Canadian Stroke Network(CSN), and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) and category test. The MoCA as the focus is brief, practical and effective as the major advantages. Many Methods of rehabilitation existed are still lack of evidence to support their efficacy.
4.The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of swallowing quality of life questionnaire

Objective To develop the quality of life questionnaire applicable to the Chinese patients with dysphagia by the translation and modification,as well as psychometric evaluation of the original swallowing quality of life questionnaire (SWAL-QOL).Methods The English version of the SWAL-QOL was translated into Chinese according to the well-accepted scale translation procedure.Then 103 patients with dysphagia were tested using the translated Chinese SWAL-QOL.The inter-rater reliability,test-retest reliability,internal consistency reliability,the content validity and construct validity were tested.Results The inter-rater reliability correlation coefficient of the SWAL-QOL was between 0.945-0.990 (P<0.01).Its test-retest coefficients ranged from 0.965 to 0.992 (P<0.01).The Cronbach coefficients ranged from 0.708 to 0.933 (P<0.01).There revealed significant correlation between each item of SWAL-QOL and its domain,with correlation coefficients between 0.723 and 0.982 (P<0.01).Factor analysis of each item of the 10 domains of SWAL-QOL extracted 10 common factors,which were with a cumulative contribution of 79.029%.Factor analysis of the total score of the 10 dimensions extracted 2 common factors including dysphagia-related quality of life and general quality of life,with a cumulative contribution of 54.718%.Conclusions The Chinese version of SWAL-QOL is reliable and valid.It can be used as an effective measuring tool to evaluate the quality of life of dysphagia patients.
5.Electrophysiological features of triggering atrial premature contraction in patients with hypertension combined paroxysmal atrial fibrillation

Objective To explore the electrophysiological features of triggering atrial premature contraction(APC) in patients with hypertension combined paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAf).Metbods The originating sites and prematurity index (PI) of triggering APC were analyzed in 46 PAf patients with hypertension (hypertension group)and in 35 PAf patients without hypertension( non-hypertension group)from April,2008 to March,2011 in Shanghai Punan Hospital of Pudong New District.Results Triggering APCs in 46 cases with hypertension combined PAf in the hypertension group originated mainly in the left atrium( 81.6% ).The coupling interval (CI)of triggering APC in hypertension group was significantly shorter than that in non-triggering APC ( [ 374.1 ± 31.5 ] ms versus [ 443.6 ± 32.6 ] ms,t =23.361,P < 0.001 ) and that in triggering APC in nonhypertensive group ( [374.1 ±31.5]ms versus [395.7 ±38.2]ms,t =5.549,P <0.001 ).PI in triggering APC was lower than that in non-triggering APC in hypertension group(0.50 +0.05 versus 0.63 ±0.06,t =22.544,P < 0.001 ) and that in triggering APC in non-hypertension group (0.50 + 0.05 versus 0.55 ± 0.08,t =5.849,P < 0.001 ).Conclusion The triggering APC in patients with hypertension combined PAf mainly originates in the left atrium,the PI of triggering APC is significantly lower than that in non-hypertension patients with PAf and PAf occurs more easily in patients with hypertension.Prompt measures should be taken for hypertension patients with lower prematurity index to prevent the occurrence of PAf.

The combination of teaching and research ideas should run through the whole teaching process, which is an important approach to bring up innovative talents. This article focuses on teaching process of rehabilitation medicine, and how to run research ideas through each sections of rehabilitation medicine. Research ideas begins with teaching, shaped in clinical practice, and being applied for clinical work. That is just the right thinking for cultivating outstanding medical specialists in the 21st century.
7.A Comparative Study of the Effect of Speech Rehabilitation after Cochlear Implantation in Preschool Children Who Lost Their Hearing before Learning to Speak All Ages

Objective To observe the effects of rehabilitation in the 55 prelingually deaf pediatric cases for two years after cochlear implantation ,factors including cochlear implantation and recovery time ;to compare the re-covery effects in the group of 1 to 3 years old children with the group of 3~5 years old (including the age of 3 years old) who lost their hearing before learning to speak ,and to provide clinical evidence for providing cochlear implant therapy to the prelingually deaf children as early as possible .Methods A total of 55 pediatric relingually deaf cases were included in this study .According to their implantation time and application duration ,they were divided into 2 groups :1 to 3 years old group (32 cases) ,and >3 to 5 years old group (23 cases) respectively .The hearing ,lan-guage and learning abilities on 1 ,3 ,6 ,12 ,18 ,24 months after cochlear implantation were evaluated ,using statisti-cal method to record CAP and SIR scores .Results The rehabilitation effects ,the average ages ,CAP ,speech rec-ognition rates and SIR were increased two years afterwards .The effects of younger age group were more noticeable than that in the older group .The differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P<0 .05) .Av-erage speech recognition rates ,average speech rehabilitation effects in each postoperative period of younger age group were better than those of in older age group ,showing significant differences (P<0 .05);CAPs in the younger age group on 1 ,3 and 12 months after CI surgery were significantly higher than those of in the older group (P value were 0 .001 ,0 .001 and 0 .002 ,respectively) .SIR in the younger age group at the time of 1 ,3 ,12 ,24 months were significantly higher than those of in the older group(P values were 0 .00 ,0 .00 ,0 .00 and 0 .024 ,respectively) . Conclusion Implanted age and recovery time are the key factors that influence the effects of postoperative rehabilita-tion .The younger when the children get cochlear implantation and the longer the recovery time takes during two years after cochlear implantation ,the better the results are .The standardization of domestic assessment for the re-covery effects and the international evaluation method have a certain degree of equivalence .
9.Expression of B7-H4 in experimental autoimmune myocarditis

Objective:To observe the expression of B7-H4 in experimental autoimmune myocarditis (EAM).Methods:BALB/c mice were randomly divided into 2 groups:the control group and the experimental group.The mice of experimental group were injected with myosin to establish EAM models , while the mice of control group were injected with complete Freund 's adjuvant and normal saline.All the mice were killed separately at the 14th,21st,30th and 45th day for lymphocyte proliferation assay ,hematoxylin-eosin staining,immunohistochemical staining and real-time PCR.Results:The inflammation infiltration of heart was most serious at the 14th and 21st day,then it was gradually relieved with time;the results of lymphocyte proliferation assay and real-time PCR were similar to that of the inflammation infiltration of heart ,which were in high level at the 14th and 21st day,and they were both higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05 );B7-H4 protein were only detected in the experimental group ,and it was constantly expressed during the whole experiment on the endothelium of heart with myocarditis.Conclusion:B7-H4 participates in the progress of EAM ,and it may be a new way of studying the mechanism of myocarditis.
10.The analysis of drug resistance and rational use of antimicrobial agents in 106 cases of acute appendicitis

Objective To study the drug resistance of infection bacteria deriving from acute appendicitis patients.Methods The separation and the drug sensitive characteristic of bacteria deriving from the specimen of acute appendicitis patients were ana-lyzed,who were admitted in the general department of our hospital from January to June 2013.Results One hundred and six bacte-ria strains were isolated.Among them,100 (94.34%)strains were Gram negative bacteria strains,including escherichia coli,kleb-siella pneumonia bacillus and verdigris fake single spore bacterium,in a proportion of 67.92%,1 1.32% and 5.66% respectively. The resistance of piperacillin,ciprofloxacin,gentamycin,levofloxacin,tobramycin and cefepime was high in Gram negative bacteria, while the lower resistance to piperacillin/ tazobactam,cefoxitin and imipenem.Conclusion The resistant rate of acute appendicitis infection bacteria is high.
