The effects of Guizhi Fuling capsule and its active ingredient combination within different concentration on SPL proliferate were observed by MTT method. The ratio of CD80/86, CD3CD25 and CD3CD69 was used to evaluate cell activation effects of Guizhi Fuling capsule and its active ingredient combination by FCM. Guizhi Fuling capsule with concentration of 400 mg · L(-1)can promote spleen lymphocyte proliferation, as well as the active ingredient combination, which showed the obvious dose-effect relationship. Compared with control group, the difference has statistical significance (P≤0.01). The result of FCM showed that Guizhi Fuling capsule and its active ingredient combination can promote CD80 and CD86 expression on spleen lymphocyte, and also can increase CD25 and CD69 ratio between spleen CD3+ cells. Compared with control group, the difference has statistical significance (P≤0.01). Thus, Guizhi Fuling capsule and its active ingredient combination may have immune-modulate effects, and the mechanism may have a close relationship with the lymphocyte activation.

It is to observe the therapeutic action of Guizhi Fuling capsule and the combination of active ingredients on model rats with uterine leiomyoma. The hysteromyoma rats models was established in rats by loading eatrogen, to observe the effect on pathological condition of uterus, uterus wet weight, the content of estradiol and progesterone. Guizhi Fuling capsule and the combination of active ingredients remarkably decreased uterus weight, restrained the excess proliferation of the smooth muscle of uterus, decreased the estraiol and progesterone in blood serum. Guizhi Fuling capsule and the combination of active ingredients can restrain the formation of hysteromyoma in a dose-dependent manner. Perhaps the combination of active ingredients is the material foundation of antihysteromyoma.

Objective To evaluate the mid-term follow-up of the pereutaneous angioplasty of the occlusive acrtoiliac artery diseases. Methods The data of 30 patients who had distal abdominal aorta and bi-lateral iliac artery stenosis or occlusion and treated by percutaneous angioplasty were retrospectively reviewed. They are 24 males and 6 females, aged from 35 to 75 years (average 55 ± 10 years). The interventional procedures include wire-guided canalization, thrembolysis, balloon angioplasty and stents implantation. They were followed up by telephone, letter or visiting after discharged. Results Twenty-six patients with aarto-iliac are revascularized successfully.Three cases failed.Of them, one failed because only one side of iliac artery and aorta were successfully canalized while the eontralateral not,one failed to revascularize both the aorta and the iliac artery, the other one failed due to the ihac rupture and replaced by WallGraft implantation. Two cases had distal thrombosis during the procedure. One case was amputated due to the aggravated isebemia of the right lower extremity after the revascularization failed.Twenty-seven cases were followed uo after 1 to 112 months, averaged (41±9) months. One case showed that the iliac artery was uncanalized after 6 months. One case showed bilateral iliac artery occlusion during 25 months follow-up and re-occluded 3 months after balloon angioplasty and finally had stent implanation in bilateral iliac artery. The other patients had no aggravated symptom of recurrence. Conclusion The percutaneous angioplasty is a good choice for occlusive aorto-iliac artery disease, showing good recovery during mid-term follow-up.

OBJECTIVETo explore the feasibility of inducing human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (HuMSCs) to differentiate into Leydig cells through conditioned medium derived from Leydig cells.
METHODSHuMSCs and Leydig cells were obtained by tissue blocks culture attachment and enzymatic digestion respectively. HuMSCs were induced by conditioned medium of Leydig cells as an experiment group while those before induction were cultured as a control group. The expressions of LHR, 3β-HSD and StAR in the induced HuMSCs were determined by RT-PCR after 3, 7 and 10 days of culture; those of CYP11A1, CYP17A1 and 3β-HSD measured by immunofluorescence staining after 2 weeks; and that of 3β-HSD detected by Western blot after 4 weeks.
RESULTSThe experimental group showed positively expressed LHR, 3β-HSD and StAR at 3, 7 and 10 days, CYP11A1, CYP17A1 and 3β-HSD at 2 weeks, and 3β-HSD at 4 weeks, while the control group revealed negative expressions at all the time points.
CONCLUSIONInduced with conditioned culture medium derived from Leydig cells, HuMSCs are likely to differentiate into steroidogenic cells and eventually into Leydig cells.

Through retrieval of all medical journals of CNKI and VIP from Jan. 1996 to Oct. 2012, ninety-nine articles were selected and analyzed. The result shows that reliable effect can be found in pain relieving, especially in pain of muscles and soft tissues. In mechanism research, action mechanism of Fu's subcutaneous needling (FSN) on pain relieving is expounded through theory of traditional medicine and modern medicine. Although the effect of FSN on pain relieving has been confirmed by numerous clinical trials, it is still lack of explanation on mechanism revealing. The further studies should focus on mechanism expounding, improving research methods and selecting more objective and reasonable evaluation system. Therefore, the effectiveness and scientificalness of FSN can be further enhanced.
