Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of Bushen Huoxie Paidu decoction in delaying the renal fibrosis progression and retarding the course of chronic renal failure (CRF). Methods Seventy-six patients with CRF were randomly divided into the test group (38 cases) and the control group (38 cases). Both groups were treated with relatively unified fundamental treatment, experienced prescription of Bushen Huoxie Paidu decoction was given additionally to the test group. Treatment course of each group was 3 months. The curative effect was observed and the plasma levels of laminin (LN), fibronectin (FN), procollagen type Ⅲ (PC-Ⅲ) and collagen type Ⅳ (Ⅳ-C) in both groups were determined. Objective To research the quality control of determination of formaldehyde concentration in the indoor air in the newly decorated houses with 4-amino-3-hydrazine-mercapto-1, 2, 4-amilinoazaole spectrophotometry. Methods 35 newly decorated houses in two urban districts of Guiyang were chosen and the air samples were collected from March to December in 2004. Formaldehyde concentration was determined as soon as the air samples were collected, and the laboratory internal quality was controlled by using the standard sample in the determination. Results The formaldehyde concentration range of 35 newly decorated houses was 0.01-1.71 mg/m3, the detection rates was 100%, the rate of exceeding national standard was 77.1% and the median was 0.28 mg/m3. The recovery rates of quality control samples were 90.70%-103.00%. Conclusion The quality control method used in the present paper can make the results of formaldehyde concentration determinated with 4-amino-3-hydrazine-mercapto-1, 2, 4-amilinoazaole spectrophotometry be controlled in the demanded ranges of errors.

Objective To observe the delayed cardioprotective effect of the extract of Gingkgo biloba leaves(EGb761)and its possible mechanisms in rats.Methods Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion(I/R)injury was induced by 30 min of global ischemia and 30 min of reperfusion in isolated rat hearts.Heart rate(HR),coronary flow(CF),left ventricular pressure(LVP),and its first derivatives(+dp/dtmax)were recorded,and the releasing content of creatine kinase(CK),contents of malondialdehyde(MDA)and nitric oxide(NO)in myocardial tissues were measured.Results Single ig EGb761(50 or 100 mg/kg)at 24 h before I/R were done could significantly attenuate the damage of cardiac function(LVP and +dp/dtmax)and the lowering of NO level in myocardial tissues,and inhibit the increasing in CK release and MDA level induced by I/R in myocardial tissues.The delayed cardioprotective effects of EGb761 were markedly inhibited by pretreatment with L-NAME(5 mg/kg),an inhibitor of NO synthase,or HMR1883(3 mg/kg),an antagonist of sarcolemmal ATP-sensitive potassium channels(sarcKATP).Conclusion Pretreatment with EGb761 could protect against I/R-induced myocardial injury in rats,and the delayed cardioprotection of EGb761 may be related to increasing in NO production and opening of sarcKATP.

ObjectiveTo observe the shape, size, position and vessels of greater omentum. To explore the design of greater omentum and clarify its clinical significance. MethodsThree fresh and 12 formalin-fixed cadaveres were dissected. All of them had no damage nor injury. 1. Macro-micro-dissection: The shape, size and position of greater omentum were observed. The vessels of the greater omentum were studied.2.Lead oxide-gelatin injection technique and three-dimensional reconstruction.Results The length of greater omentum was(24.7±6.9)cm,the width was(28.3+2.8)cm. It could be divided into 3 types: thin type,middle type and thick type, the occurrence rate was 33.3％, 46.7％ and 20.0％ respectively. The blood supply of greater omentum mainly came from the gastroepiploic arch composed of the left gastroepiploic artery and the right gastroepiploic artery.There were 4 main arteries of the greater omentum: ①The right epiploic　artery: The external diameter at origination was (1.0±0.4)mm. ② The middle epiploic artery: The external　diameter at origination was(0.7 + 0.3)mm. ③The left epiploic artery:The external diameter at origination was　(1.2±0.4)mm.④ The accessary epiploic artery:The external diameter at origination was (0.5 ± 0.1)mm.ConclusionAccording to the characteristic of the anterior arch and posterior arch,the position of the middle epiploic artery divarication and the method of spread,the greater omentum is divided into 5 types.It should be according to the characteristic, when the greater omentum is designed and clipped.

Objective To know the primary effect of nutrition intervention in farmers. Methods The questionnaires were used to do baseline and evaluation survey. The intervention ways were used in trial group, including holding lectures, posting posters, sending out healthy material, quizzes with prizes, recommending salts low in sodium to each family, training to make healthy food by the chef; but there were no measures in control group. Results There were statistical significance in healthy awareness of nutrition, exercises and chronic diseases between two groups after intervention; However, the average intake amounts of vegetables did not reach the recommendation of diet guidelines; After intervention, the intake frequency of vegetables and fruits had statistical significance between before and after intervention in trial group, and also had statistical significance in two groups. Conclusion The awareness of healthy knowledge and attitudes has been obvious improvement, but the diets and life styles of farmers have no obvious change. The diet structure and behavior of farmers have been increasingly rational but not enough. The farmers have started to increase the intake times of vegetables and fruits and built up the conception of eating more vegetables and fruits.

Based on their own characteristics and learning purposes of the child neurologic training doctors and to full use of the advantage of our hospital in faculties, facilities and patients, the plan was designed and focused on better understanding of clinical related basic theoretical knowledge, improving the ability of clinical research and thesis writing, strengthening communication skills between patients and doctors, and medical ethics training and health regulations learning. The training doctors achieved good results in the aspects of medical skills, research ability and comprehensive professional quality.

Objective To investigate the status of hospitalized cancer patients sense of hopelessness.Methods 508 cancer patients in the Affiliated Tumor Hospital of Guangxi Medical University were recruited and divided into the youth group and the middle aged group.Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS) was assessed to compare the depression degree between the youth group and the middle aged group.Results In general,without a sense of hopelessness in 182 patients (40.9％),mild hopelessness in 178 patients (40.0％),moderate hopelessness in 68 patients (15.3％),severe hopelessness in 17 patients (3.8％).However,no statistical difference was significantly different on the depression degree between the youth group and the middle aged group,while significat difference existed between patients with different dwelling places and treatment time.Conclusions Most cancer patients have different degree of hopelessness.Duration of treatment,dwelling conditions and other factors can affect the patients sense of hopelessness.

OBJECTIVE:To establish the quality standard of Fructus arctii concentrated granules. METHODS:TLC was con-ducted for the qualitative identification and HPLC was used for the content determination of arctiin in F. arctii concentrated gran-ules. The determination was performed on Dionex C18 column with mobile phase consisted of methanol-water(40∶60,V/V) at the flow rate of 1.0 ml/min. The detection wavelength was set at 280 nm,and the column temperature was 30 ℃. The samples size was 10 μl. RESULTS:TLC spectrum showed that the spots of F. arctii concentrated granules and arctiin reference medicinal material had the same color;the linear range of arctiin was 0.5-12.5 μg(r=0.999 8)with the average recovery of 98.41%(RSD=0.81%, n=9). The RSDs of precision,stability,repeatability tests were no more than 1.0%. CONCLUSIONS:The method is feasible and reproducible,and can effectively control the quality of F. arctii concentrated granules.
