Objective To study a rapid method for determination of trace formaldehyde in drinking water by oscilloscopic polarography. Methods In the base solution of0.01mol/L H 3 PO 4 ,the reaction product of formaldehyde and phenylhydrazine hydrochloride on the drop mercury electrode revealed a sensitive second order derivative polarographic wave at a pick electric potential-0.76V(VS?SCE).The optimum conditions and interference by other coexisting ions were analyzed. Results The de-tection limit, linear range, recovery rate, relative standard deviation(RSD)of the method were0.002mg /L,0.005-0.25mg /L,94.0%-103.0%,and0.05).Conclusion The method was simple, rapid, sensitive and highly specific. The analytical speed was about 50-60samples /h,which was suitable for the determination of trace formaldehyde in drinking water.

ObjectiveTo study the expression of EZH2 gene in cervical squamous carcinoma and its clinicopathologic significance. MethodsThe expression of EZH2 mRNA was detected in 21 samples of normal cervical tissue, 27 samples of CIN tissue and 48 samples of cervical squamous carcinoma tissue by RT-PCR. And the relationship between EZH2 expression and the clinical pathological characteristic was analyzed. ResultsThe level of EZH2 mRNA in cervical squamous carcinoma tissues(1.67±0.01)were significantly higher than that in the normal cervical tissues (0) and CIN tissues (0.36±0.02) (P < 0.01).There was no correlation between EZH2 and ages (P > 0.05), while the expression of EZH2 was highly correlated with histologic stage, clinical stage, muscular invasion depth and lymph node metastasis of cervical squamous carcinoma (P < 0.01).ConclusionThe over-expression of the EZH2mRNA may play an important role in the pathogenesis and progression of cervical squamous carcinoma, suggesting that EZH2 might be a new biomarker for diagnosing cervical squamous carcinoma.

Objective To study the relationship between serum leptin and fibrosis in chronic hepatitis B incorporate alcoholic liver disease(CHB + ALD) patients. Methods Select 17 male patients with CHB+ALD,15 male patients with liver cirrhosis(LC) ,19 male patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB) and 12 male healthy persons as normal control(NC).Serum leptin is detected by ELISA in 63 patients.Serum levels of fibrosis markers(HA,LN,PC HI ,IV-C) are determined at the same time. Results Serum leptin level in CHB +ALD are significantly higher than those of the NC(6.79±24.12) μg/L vs (4.27±7.18 ) μg/L (P<0.05).There is no significant difference between patients with CHB and the NC.The four fibrosis markers in CHB + ALD patients are significantly higher than that of men both in the CHB and the NC.There are significant correlations between both serum leptin level and quadrinomial fibrosis markers(P<0.05 or P<0.01 ).Conclusion That serum leptin level is one aecelerate gene in the fibrosis formation in patients with CHB+ALD.

Hepatitis B-related acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF) is a severe clinical syndrome characterized by jaundice, coagulopathy, ascites and hepatic encephalopathy and with a high mortality rate of 65% to 93%. It involves significant ethical issues when a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled clinical study is conducted to such a serious disease. Therefore, a prospective cohort study design was utilized to explore a new treatment modality of applying integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine.

Objective To study the effects of rAAV2/1-Acrp30 on sICAM-1 and sVCAM-1 level as well as NF-?B expression in GK rats with diabetic arteriosclerosis so as to explore the effect of adiponectin on diabetic macroangiopathy. Methods A total number of 30 atherosclerotic GK rat models were randomly divided into three groups:① Model group one (M1):hind limb intramuscular injection of normal saline; ② Model group two (M2):hind limb intramuscular injection of vacuity virus rAAV2/1; ③ Treatment group (T):hind limb intramuscular injection of rAAV2/1-Acrp30 at a dose of 1?1012mg/L. After 8 weeks' treatment, the rats were killed, and serum sVCAM-1 and sICAM-1 level as well as aortic NF-?Bp65mRNA expression were measured in each group. Aortic NF-?Bp65mRNA expression was measured by RT-PCR.Results Compared with those in control model groups (M1 and M2),sVCAM-1 and sICAM-1 levels were decreased significantly in the treatment (T) group (P

Objective To study the value of time intensity curve of contrast enhanced ultrasound in the discrimination of benign and malignant soft tissue tumors. Methods Thirty-seven cases of soft tissue tumors were carried out contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination. The region of interest in the dynamic images were chosen to carry out Gamma-Variate curve fitting through Q-LAB software and made a quantitative analysis. Then they were compared with pathological diagnosis to analyze the ultrasound imaging performance of benign and malignant tumors and their characteristics of micro-irrigation. Results Thirty-seven cases of soft tissue tumors were pathologically diagnosed 21 cases of benign and malignant in 16 cases. The perfusion of benign tumors were mainly uniformity (19/21) or potentialization (2/21). The perfusion of malignant tumors were mainly uniformity (10/16) or nonuniformity (6/16). There were no significant differences in time to peak(TTP) and arrival time of contrast agent(AT) between benign and malignant tumors( P >0.05). The upslope rate(A) and the derived peak intensity(DPI) in benign group were significantly less than malignant group ( P <0.05). Conclusions Time-intensity curve analysis of contrast-enhanced ultrasound showed that benign and malignant soft tissue tumors were different in perfusion, and it will be of a certain value for the clinical differential diagnosis.

Objective To investigate the effect of 3 concentrations of sevoflurane pretreatment on acute lung injury induced by endotoxin in rats. Methods Thirty-six male SD rats were randomly divided into 6 groups:a control group(Group A), a sevoflurane group(Group B), a 3.6% sevoflurane pretreatment group(Group C), a 2.4% Sevoflurane pretreatment group(Group D), a 1.2% sevo sevoflurane pretreatment group(Group E), and lipopolysaccharide (Group F).The rats were killed 6 h after lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or saline injection.Histological examinations of the lung tissues were performed with light microscope. Lung wet/dry weight (W/D) ratio, myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity, and intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) mRNA expression were assayed. Results Introvenous LPS significantly aggravated lung tissue damage, increased lung W/D ratio, MPO activity, and lung ICAM-1 mRNA expression compared with the control group(P<0.05). Precondition with 2.4% sevoflurane significantly attenuated the above mentioned changes induced by LPS (P<0.05). The 3.6% LPS (Group C) significantly attenuated lung tissue damage and decreased MPO activity, lung ICAM-1 mRNA expression compared with the Group F (P<0.05),but no significant change in lung W/D ratio was seen (P>0.05). MPO activity was significantly decreased in Group E (P<0.05), but lung W/D ratio and lung ICAM- 1 mRNA expression had no significant changes (P>0.05).Conclusion Precondition with 2.4% sevoflurane can reduce LPS induced lung injury in rats. Decreased expression of ICAM-1 and less accumulation of neutrophils were participated in its mechanism.
