Objective To discuss the health hazards of nurses in the operating room, find out their self-protection awareness, give them defensive education to reduce the damage done to nurses in operating room. Methods Field survey of health hazards in operating room was carried out to find out nurses' self- protection awareness and gave them health propaganda and education. Results There were many health hazards in op-erating room, but nurses' self-protection awareness was low and they knew little about defensive knowledge. Conclusions The curren situation is there are so many disadvantages but nurses in the operating room know little about them,so it is necessary to give them defensive education to protect themselves.

Chongqing Medicine 2001;(3):208-210
Objective To investigate the cause of excessive collagen accumulation in keloid tissue. Methods The ultrastructure of keloid was observed by transmission electron microscope. New formed collagen in keloid was localized with ABC immunohistochemical staining. Type I procollagen mRNA level in keloid tissue was determined by dot blot hybridization using human pro-al (I)collagenspecific cDNA probe. Results Numerous fibroblasts with abundant, well developed rough endoplasmic reticulum were exhibited in the ultrastructure of keloid. The type I procollagen mRNA levels were significantly increased in kreloid tissue. Immunohistochemical staining showed increased expression of new formed, type I procollagen in keloid tissue. Conclusion the fibroblasts are activated in collagen synthesis in active keloid. The enhanced collagen synthesis by fibroblasts is a critical factor leading to the overabundant collagen accumulation in keloid.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2005;0(07):-
Objective To discuss the utilization of signs of a proper depth of ablation during transurethral electrovaporization of the prostate (TUVP). Methods A retrospective analysis was made on clinical records of 616 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Preoperative color ultrasonography revealed a co-morbidity of prostatic calcification in 310 cases. A total of 156 cases also had vesical calculi and 23 cases complicated tumors of the bladder. On the performance of TUVP, once a co-morbidity of prostatic calculus or a “slipping phenomenon” during mechanical operation was observed, the ablation was stopped. Results The operative time was 30~120 min (mean, 75 min). During the surgery, preoperatively diagnosed prostatic calcification in the 310 cases was confirmed as prostatic calculus, and in the remaining 306 cases prostatic calculus was also found. Vesical perforation occurred during the surgery in 1 case. No urethrorectal fistula or transurethral resection of the prostate syndrome happened. Follow-up observations were conducted for 3~6 months (mean, 4.5 months) in 325 cases. The maximal flow rate (Qmax) was elevated from 6.5~8.5 ml/s to 8~22 ml/s. The residual urine volume (RU) decreased from 70~150 ml to 0~10 ml, and the International Prostate Symptom Scores (I-PSS), from 19~24.5 to 0~7. Of 138 cases of vesical calculus and 23 cases of bladder tumor, no recurrence was noted. Conclusions Prostatic calculus and the “slipping phenomenon” indicate a proper depth of ablation during transurethral electrovaporization of the prostate.

Chinese Journal of Digestion 2001;0(07):-
Objective To study the correlation between small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and plasma endotoxin,platelet-derived growth factor(PDGF)level, and levels of serum hyaluronic acid (HA),laminin(LN),N-terminal procollagen Ⅲ peptide(PⅢNP)and type Ⅳ collagen(Ⅳ.C). Methods Lactulose hydrogen breath test (LHBT) was performed in 64 patients with chronic liver disease. Plasma endotoxin was measured with Limulus test, plasma PDGF was tested with ABC-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, serum HA,LN,PⅢNP and Ⅳ.C were tested by radioimmunoassay(RIA) in the patients. The relationship between SIBO and plasma endotoxin, PDGF and HA,LN,PⅢNP and Ⅳ.C levels were analyzed. Results Positive LHBT suggesting the existence of SIBO were observed in 22 patients(34.4%). Plasma endotoxin[(62?19) pg/ml vs.(31?13) pg/ml] and PDGF [(211?77) pg/ml vs.(136?57) pg/ml] levels were significantly higher in patients with SIBO than those in patients without SIBO (P

The quality control method and standard were established to control the quality of Pteris multifida in this paper. The tests of water content, total ash, acid-unsoluble ash and ethanol-soluble extractives of P. multifida were carried out according to the methods recorded in appendix of Chinese Pharmacopeia (2010 edition, volume 1) . The TLC method was established by using rhoifolin as references, and a mixture of CHCl3 -MeOH-HAc (6: 1: 1) as the developing solvent system on GF254 thin layer plate. The contents of rhoifolin was determined by HPLC on a Diamonsil C18 (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 μm) column, using acetonitrile-water (containing 0.15% formic acid) (16: 84) as mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0 mL x min(-1). The column temperature was 30 degrees C and the detection wave-length was 350 nm. As a result, pterosin C 3-O-β-D-glucosidede and the other constituents were well separated on TLC detected under the UV light at 254 nm . The methodology validation for the assay of rhoifolin presented that it was in good linear correlation in the ranges of 0.025 5-5.1 μg with the regression equations of Y = 1 092.4X + 9.503 5 (r = 0.999 8), and the average recoveries were 100.3% (RSD 1.3%). The content range of rhoifolin from 16 different batches of Pteris multifida was 0.08-5.06 mg x g(-1). The water content, total ash, acid-unsoluble ash and ethanol-soluble extractives of 16 samples varied in the ranges of 7.35% - 12.96%, 6.90% - 16.33%, 2.07% -11.38% and 13.29% -23.87%, respectively. The suggesting limes in the quality standard for water content, total ash, acid-unsoluble ash, ethanol-soluble extractives and rhoifolin content were ≤ 12% , ≤ 15% , ≤ 8.5% , ≥ 14% and ≥ 0.040%, respectively. The result proved that the established quality of control method was specific and accurate, which can be used for the quality control of P. multifida.

Chinese Journal of Nosocomiology 2006;0(08):-
OBJECTIVE To analyze the high incision infection rate in abdominal operation in order to take effective preventive measures.METHODS Totally 2302 cases of abdominal operation in general surgery were investigated retrospectively from Jan 2005 to May 2007.The diagnosis standard was based on the Diagnosis Standard of Hospital Infection(Draft) published by Ministry of Health of the People′s Republic of China in Jan 2001.RESULTS From them 113 cases suffered incision infection. The infection rate was 4.85%,accounted for 81.54% of all surgical operation incision infections. The pathogenic bacteria in the samples taken during the operation were the same as those in the secretion of postoperative incision in terms of species and source.CONCLUSIONS The key points of prevention of incision infection are sterile operation, flushing of abdominal cavity and enhanced detection of environment hygiene in operating room. The infection rate could be lowered through observation and nursing care of postoperative incision and proper use of antibiotics.
