Journal of Practical Stomatology 2016;32(4):453-456
Objective:To investigate the effects of Porhyromonas endodontalis(P.e)liopolysaccharide(LPS)on the expression of IL-23mRNA and protein in mouse osteoblasts MC3T3-E1 and the role of phosphatidylinositol 3-Kinases (PI3K)signaling pathway in this process.Methods:MC3T3-E1 cells were treated with different concentrations of P.e LPS for different hours,or pretreated with LY294002,a special PI3K inhibitor. The IL-23 mRNA and protein expression levels were detected by real-time PCR and Western blot respectively. Results:The level of IL-23 mRNA increased in MC3T3-E1 cells with the increase of concentration and the treatment time of P.e LPS(P <0.05).The IL-23 protein expression was increased by P.e LPS in a time dependent manner(P <0.05).The mRNA and protein of IL-23 decreased(P <0.05)after pretreatment with LY294002.Conclusion:P.e LPS can induce the expression of IL-23 mRNA and protein in MC3T3-E1 cells, and the PI3K signaling pathway may play a part in this process.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the value of rigid bronchoscope combined with fiber bronchoscope application in children with airway obstruction.METHODS Retrospective analysis of 176 cases children with airway obstruction from January 1, 2006 to January1, 2016, all patients were diagnosised and treated in our hospital. RESULTS All children were acceptted rigid bronchoscopy combined with fiber bronchoscope under general anesthesia, then received the different thrapy according to the different causes. 104 patients with airway foreign body were all obtained satisfactory effect, 2 cases of children with bronchial foreign body(cap) inspection, failed to remove and contact thoracic surgery doctors to remove the foreign body by thoracotomy. 10 plastic bronchitis patients improved after treatment or cured. 7 cases of bronchial tuberculosis were cured after treatment. 4 patients with airway tumor after minimally invasive surgery, obtained good effect, 2 cases were turned to the other cancer hospital. 2 cases of patients with tracheal stenosis, the symptom is reduced after expansion. Bronchial granulation, tracheomalacia, bronchial softening, bronchial atresia patients improved after treatment. This group of all patients with pneumonia were cured after symptomatic treatment.CONCLUSION Rigid bronchoscopy and fiber bronchoscope are both useful for diagnosis and treatment of children with airway obstruction, both have its advantages and disadvantages, combined application can improve the accuracy of disease diagnosis and timely intervention on the patients.

Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(04):-
Objectives:To investigate if enteral nutrition can reduce pancreatic infection of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) in rats. Methods:32 SD rats were divided into 4 groups.SAP was induced in rats of A group and C group, and rats fo B group and D group underwent laparotomy without induction of SAP. A group and B group received total parenteral nutrition(TPN),and C group and D group received enteral nutrition(EN) beginning from the 3rd postoperative day.The samples of blood,MLN,pancreas, liver, kidney and lung were detected for bacteria at the end of the study.Blood sugar, albumin and amylase were also detected. Results:None of the rats died. The positive rates of bacteria cultures in MLN and pancreas were significantly lower in C group(37.5%) than those in A group(87.5%)( P =0.033).The species of cultured bacteria were mainly those seen in the gut. Conclusions:Enteral nutrition can reduce the pancreatic infection of severe acute pancreatitis in rats.

Objective To observe the poisoning components in plasma and histological changes of rabbits with acute toxicity of aconitum kusnezoffii (草乌).Methods Eight rabbits were garaged with aconitum kusnezoffii liquor, aconitum poisoning model was reproduced, electrocardiogram (ECG) and blood pressure were recorded, the concentrations of aconitine, hypaconitine and mesaconitine in plasma after 0.5,1, 2,3 and 6 hours were measured, and the pathological changes of heart, liver and cerebral cortex were observed. Results After garage with poisoning liquor, arrhythmias and the declination of blood pressure, presenting a tendency of progressive aggravation [before garage:(121.98?16.77)/(110.66?8.78) mm Hg, 1 hour after garage:(102.98?8.34)/(90.22?5.85) mm Hg,2 hours after garage:(66.81?9.13)/ (53.40?6.32) mm Hg,1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa,all P

OBJECTIVE This study was conducted to analyze the underlying bacterial pathogens of the tonsils and adenoids in children with sleep-disordered breathing(SDB).METHODS The core tissue from the tonsils and/or adenoids of 163 SDB children was cultured aerobically. Of the 163 cases, 120 children underwent adenoidectomy and tonsillectomy simultaneously(A+T), 39 children underwent adenoidectomy(A) and 4 tonsillectom(T) only. 124 children who underwent tonsillectomy were subdivided into two groups based on history(with or without a history of recurrent tonsillitis). 71 children with the history were enrolled in the 'recurrent tonsillitis group' and 53 children without the history were enrolled in 'non- recurrent tonsillitis group'.RESULTS Of the total 120 cases who underwent A+T, 114(95.00%) cases had same distribution of bacteria detected in both sides in the same patient. Besides this, 17 cases in whom mixed organisms were identified in both sites shared common pathogen. No significant difference in the detection rates of staphylococcus aureus and haemophilus influenzae were found when we compared seasons(Tonsil:χ2=8.538,P=0.201; Adenoid:χ2=5.427, P=0.490). No significant difference in the type and detection rate of essential bacteria was found when we compared between recurrent tonsillitis group and 'non-recurrent tonsillitis group' (χ2=3.028,P=0.387).CONCLUSION The bacterial isolates from the tonsils and adenoids are virtually identical in type and detection rate in the same SDB patient. The bacterial distribution of the tonsillar and adenoidal core is unaffected by the seasonal variation and history of recurrent tonsillitis.

OBJECTIVE:
To explore the efficacy of the cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) for the treatment of chronic subjective tinnitus.
METHOD:
One hundred and fifty-seven patients were randomly divided into two groups. Sixty-eight patients of the control group were treated by masking therapy; and the other 89 patients of the experimental group were treated by CBT therapy. The score of tinnitus handicap inventory (THI) was utilized to analyze the treatment efficacy in the two groups respectively.
RESULT:
The effective rate assessed by of THI score in the experimental group was not significantly higher than the control group 2 months after treatment (P > 0.05), but was significantly higher than the control group 6 months and 12 months after treatment (P < 0.05 respectively).
CONCLUSION
The CBT therapy contributed to achieve rapid adaptation of tinnitus feeling, which shows great value of further clinical application.
