Objective To investigate the clinical effects' differences of screw and suture fixation by arthroscopy in treatment of patients with ACL tibial avulsion fracture. Methods 80 patients with ACL tibial avulsion fracture were chosen and randomly divided into both groups including A group (40 patients) with suture fixation by arthroscopy and B group (40 patients) with screw fixation by arthroscopy; and the operation time, the Lysholm knee score, the IKDC knee function subjective scale score, the difference of uninjured and injured side displacement, and the incidence of flexion contracture of both groups were compared. Results The operation time of B group were significantly shorter than A group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in the Lysholm knee score, the IKDC knee function subjective scale score and the difference of uninjured and injured side displacement between the two groups (P > 0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of flexion contracture between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion Screw and suture fixation by arthroscopy in treatment of patients with ACL tibial avulsion fracture possess the same clinical effects to higher the stability of reduction and improve the joint motion function; but screw fixation by arthroscopy application can efficiently shorten the operation time and reduce the operation difficulty.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effectiveness of the rigid internal fixation for comminuted and redisplaced zygomatic arch fractures by modified preauricular-temporal approach with the resorbable bone fixation.
METHODSTotally twenty patients aged from 14 to 68 years and admitted to our hospital between September 2006 and June 2011 were reviewed, of whom seventeen had a unilateral comminuted zygomatic arch fracture and three re-displaced arch fracture after failed closed reduction. The fracture segments were aligned to restore the preinjury form of the arch by rigid fixation with resorbable plates and screws through a modified preauricular-temporal incision.
RESULTSThe fractures were well reduced, preauricular-temporal scar and lateral facial contour were aesthetically satisfying, and no case had limited mouth opening as well as facial palsy. The resorbable plates were not palpated one year after the operation.
CONCLUSIONThe rigid internal fixation through the preauricular-temporal approach with the resorbable bone is an effective method for the comminuted and redisplaced zygomatic arch fractures.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences 2010;39(4):424-429
GammadeltaT cells are considered as linkage between innate and adaptive immune response, which recognize specific antigen without MHC-restriction. Vgamma9Vdelta2T cells, isolated from peripheral blood and tumor tissue, can be activated by non-peptide phosphoantigen through binding to its gammadeltaTCR and proliferate under IL-2 stimulation. It has been shown that Vgamma9Vdelta2T cells possess anticancer activity against several types of tumor in vitro, as well as inhibit the growth of lymphoma, breast cancer and malignant melanoma in vivo. The phase I clinical trial of the application of Vgamma9Vdelta2T cells in treatment of lung cancer, renal cancer and prostate cancer demonstrated promising results. This review summarizes the recent advances in antigen recognition and activation of gammadeltaT cells, and the gammadeltaT cell-based immunotherapy for cancer treatment.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2006;31(12):969-972
OBJECTIVETo study the growth rules, the output and the influence factors of cultivated Phyllanthus urinaria, and provide basis for standardized cultivation.
METHODOrthogonally designed field experiments with three factors and three levels, comparing the characters of cultivated plants and the wild ones of P. urinaria.
RESULT AND CONCLUSIONUnder the manual planter condition, the characters, such as branching number, single dry weight, single output etc, enhanced enormously, and the increase of single output reaches 3.27 times. The sowing time was the most sensitive factor, which affected the single character and the yield per unit of area, whereas the different levels of sowing thickness and fertilizer also remarkably influenced the output. When the seeds were sowed at the mid-April earlier period, drilling with the 20 cm row spacing, they started to emerge about 1 week later, the growth flush period was from June to August, the growth slowed down in September, and the output per hectare could reach to 5.750 kilograms at harvest in late October.

Objective To evaluate clinical effect of simultaneous kidney-pancreatic transplantation(SKPT) with portal venous and enteric drainage. Method Between June 2001 and June 2004, six insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus(IDDM) and renal failure patients underwent this procedure. The venous drainage of the graft was established between donor′s portal vein and recipient′s superior mesenteric vein. The exocrine secretion was drained into proximal jejunum via side-to-side anastomosis between donor′s duodenum and recipient′s proximal jejunum. Steroids, mycophenolate mofetil, tacrolimus and Zenapax were used as immunosuppressants. Results Procedures were successful in all 6 cases. Excellent renal function and euglycemia were achieved in 4 cases. Follow-up of 4-34 months on the 4 survivers found excellent kidney-pancreatic function without any rejection episode. Two patients died perioperatively due to sepsis secondary to pancreatic leakage and drug toxicosis of excessive FK506. Conclusion Our preliminary experience suggests that simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation with enteric and portal drainage is reliable procedure for the treatment of IDDM with renal failure.
