1.Function of BMP7 in the genesis and development of colorectal cancer
International Journal of Surgery 2009;36(12):843-846
The family of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) belongs to the superfamily of transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β). It has various functions in the body. In recent years the BMPs family(especially the BMP7) has been discovered to play an important role on the genesis and development of cancer. In this article the characteristic, the mechanism and the function of BMP7 in the genesis and development of cancer are summarized.
2.Lymphoma and cAMP signaling pathway
China Oncology 2016;26(6):556-560
Several signaling pathways are involved in clonal proliferation of lymphoma cells and disease progression. It has been shown that cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) signaling pathway, as an important intra-cellular messenger delivery system, is related to modulation of multiple physiological processes including cell prolifer-ation, secretion, metabolism and apoptosis. Manipulating the cAMP signaling pathway can induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis of various malignant lymphoid cells, which involves mitochondria-dependent apoptosis and cAMP-modulated protein kinases as well as changes of intracellular mediators. In-depth research and analysis of cAMP-induced apoptosis in lymphoma cells would provide potential targets and possible therapeutic means for the treatment of lymphoma.

Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2015;28(2):160-163
Objective To analyze the factors that affecting peer review evaluation for National Science Foundation of China (NSFC) award application. Methods Base on the feedback of NSFC peer review experts, total 10 evaluation factors were extracted for analysis. The percentage of common problem and in application, and percentage of key criteriaconcerned by reviewers, and their effect on funding situation were analyzed. Results 10 evaluatiion factors were divided into 4 groups:core factors including research content and innovation;factors including hypothesis, budget and writing, basic factors including the significance of research and previous study, general factors including experience and capacity of applicants, research team and laboratory condition. Conclusions Analysis and evaluate of peer review factors from different angle may help applicants and administrators to improve the quality of NSFC application and evaluation.

Objective To know the masons of delaying to receive medical treatment among patients with breast cancer, and then reference to related health education. Methods 13 patients with breast cancer were selected in this research, interviewed them by phenomenological method to know their reasons of delaying to receive medical treatment, analized the results of interview by Clolaizzi method. Results The were five themes for patients with breast cancer about delaying to receive medical treatment, they were not understand breast cancer-related knowledge, shortage of method of self-examination, psychological factors, working pressure and family factors, social environment factors. Conclusions We should strengthen breast cancer-related health education when changed women's traditional ideas and ameliorated their family and social environment.

Objective To evaluate the effect of home-based care alongside with health promotion on Wechat towards disabled centenarians, to provide the basis for improving the home and community based care towards the oldest old. Methods A total of 158 indigious centenarians in Hainan were surveyed and 78 of them who were considered disabled by Barthel criteria were selected and then divided into intervention group (with health education on Wechat platform and nursing visit) and control group (with nursing care handbook) by the serial number of them. The living quality, incidence of adverse health events and positive feeling of family care givers of two group were evaluated and compared after 6 months intervention. Results After 6 months of home- care intervention, significant statistical differences in incidence of adverse health events were found between intervention group and control group, which compromise falls (2 cases vs. 13 cases, χ2 = 8.91, P = 0.00), pain (1 case vs. 17 cases, χ2 = 17.28, P =0.00) and constipation (6 cases vs. 15 cases, χ2 = 4.75, P = 0.03). When it came to positive feeling of care givers, the scores of intervention groupwere (33.44±3.72), (36.46±4.06) points, control groupwere (28.10± 3.25), (28.15±3.15) points, significant differences were found at 3rd and 6th month′s follow-up between two groups, which t value represent 4.955 (P=0.00) and 10.142 (P=0.00), respectively. It also suggested that the differences in living quality of the elderly were statistical significant when refered to discomfortble or pain scored 1.58±0.50 and 2.37±0.63 (t=-6.154,P=0.00), and anxiety or depression scored1.73±0.64 and 2.32 ± 0.70 (t=- 3.889,P=0.00). Conclusions Health education on Wechat platform with nursing visit can enhance the effect of home- based care by improving the living quality, incidence of adverse health events of the elderly and positive feeling of family care givers.

Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2017;26(5):598-602
Myocardial fibrosis is a predominant pathological change of radiation-induced heart disease (RIHD) in late stage. It often occurs several or more than ten years after radiotherapy and can lead to myocardial remodeling, impaired cardiac function, and heart failure. At present there is no effective method to prevent or reverse the development of radiation-induced myocardial fibrosis. Many cells, cytokines, and other factors are involved in the development and progression of myocardial fibrosis in RIHD and some of them have been validated. But most investigators focused on the pathological changes and related mechanisms in early stage, and myocardial fibrosis was just regarded as an endpoint event. The definitive mechanisms of myocardial fibrosis in late stage remain unclear. This paper reveiws the studies about general mechanisms of myocardial fibrosis in RIHD and summarizes the roles of microcirculation dysfunction, mast cells, several cytokines, hypoxia, oxidative stress, and renin-angiotensin system, and points out the future research direction of the pathogenesis of myocardial fibrosis in RIHD.It provides new ideas for discovering the potential targets for clinical intervention of myocardial fibrosis in RIHD.

Tianjin Medical Journal 2015;(6):590-594,707
Objective To explore the functionalternation of human cholangiocarcinoma cell line HUCCA-1 by silenc?ing Gab1 expression;to detect its effect on PI3KCA and Akt1 expression at protein and mRNA levels and to explore the role of Gab1,PI3KCA and Akt1 expressions in the malignant behavior of cholangiocarcinoma. Methods Gab1 siRNA was trans? fected into cholangiocarcinoma cell line HUCCA-1. Proliferation, apoptosis, migration/invasion of cells were examined by MTT, flow cytometry and Transwell assay respectively after transfection. PI3KCA and Akt1 expressions were detected by Western blotting and qPCR. Results Transfection efficiency was satisfactory and reaches 65%~70%;PI3KCA and Akt1 expressions were down-regulated at both protein and mRNA levels upon silencing of Gab1. Meanwhile, proliferations of HUCCA-1 cells were inhibited (P<0.01);apoptosis rate increases(P<0.05);and migration and invasion were both inhibit?ed upon Gab1 silencing(P<0.05). Conclusion The proliferation, migration and invasion are all inhibited while apoptosis is attenuated after Gab1 was down-regulated by Gab1 siRNA transfection. PI3KCA and Akt1 expressions are up-regulated with down-regulation of Gab1. Therefore, Gab1 may enhance the maglinant behavior of cholangiocarcinoma cells through up-regulating PI3KCA and Akt1 expression and it can be used as a candidate for cholangiocarcinoma therapy.
