Objective To research the clinical effect of treating sagittal fracture of the mandibular condyle (SMFC). Methods 20 cases of SMFC patients were treated by removing the severe allotopic broken bone block of SMFC and adopting conservative intermaxillary traction. Results All these patients had no adverse side effects such as secondary infection,limitation of mouth opening, arthrocleisis, occlusion disorder and facial deformity. Following-up from the 8th month to the 4th year indicated that their occluding relation and opening movement recovered well. The CT graphs and panoramic radiographs of operated patients discovered that the injured condylar processes had become roughly proper or a little less proper. Conclusion Reasonably removing the severe allotopic broken bone block of SMFC and adopting conservative intermaxillary traction are the more effective methods to cure SMFC ,which is easy to be grasped and popularized.

Objective To investigate the clinical application of the combined radical operation retaining the mandible with one-stage reconstruction using free flap in the patients with tongue carcinoma.Methods The combined radical operation retaining the mandible with one-stage reconstruction using free flap was performed in 39 tongue carcinoma patients.Results Postoperative healing well ,9 cases of recurrernce,the primary of which 5 cases ,4 cases of cervical recurrence,the recurrence of cases in all 3 cases of T3 ,T4 ,6 cas es of cervical lymph node and distant contralateral transfer of 5 cases,includlng 2 cases of T3,T4 of 3 cases after 1 to 3 years.Conclusion The combined radical operation of tongue cancer,passed the stringent selection case,preserve the integrity mandible is completely feasible.

Objective To explore the correlation between nurses' work alienation and silence behavior.Methods 603 registered nurses were recruited from a tertiary hospital in Guangzhou.They were investigated with Alienation Scale and Work Silence Behavior Scale.Results The scores of work alienation and silence behavior were (34.35±6.53) points and (37.66±6.46) points respectively,and both of them were at the medial level.Work alienation was positively related to silence behavior (r=0.603).All dimensions of work alienation were positively related to all dimensions of silence behavior (P ＜ 0.01).The predictors of silence behavior were age,nursing working years,job title,department,frustration,helplessness and meaningless,explained 42.2％ of its variance.Conclusions Work alienation has positive effect to silence behavior.The administrators in hospitals should focus on nurse,work alienation and silence behavior,and reduce silence behavior by reducing work alienation.

Background and purpose:The lymph node metastatic model of rectal tumor is a useful tool for the research on tumor occurrence, development, metastasis and antineoplastic therapy. There are few reports about establishment of larger animal model. This study aimed to establish feasible and reproducible lymph node metastatic models of VX2 tumor in rabbits.Methods:The VX2 tumor tissue was put into the puncture needle. The VX2 tumor tissue in the needle was orthotopically transplanted into the rectal wall of the New Zealand white rabbits successfully. Twenty New Zealand white rabbits were transplanted. Two experimental rabbits were scanned by MR weekly. Tumor growth curve and lymph node numbers were observed on MR. Experimental rabbit tumor volumes were measured by MR post-processing software. The rectal tumor and surrounding lymph nodes were resected, and the specimens were ifxed. The sections were stained with HE. We explored the relationship between tumor volume and growth time, the number of metastatic lymph nodes and tumor volume, respectively.Results:Thirteen models were successfully established with a rate of 65%. Tumors limited in the rectal wall were observed on the fourth week. Tumor size increased over time. There was significant difference in the tumor volume between different periods (growth cycle number) (F=52.865,P<0.05). There was a signiifcantly positive correlation between tumor volume and the growth cycle number (r=0.910,P<0.05). The metastatic lymph nodes could be observed when VT>9 cm3. The number of metastatic lymph node increased obviously from the ninth week. The more tumor volume, the greater the number of metastatic lymph nodes was observed (F=92.531,P<0.05). There was a signiifcantly positive correlation between the number of metastatic lymph nodes and the tumor volume (r=0.945,P<0.05).Conclusion:Metastatic lymph node models of VX2 tumor in New Zealand white rabbits were established successfully. This model has some value in the research on local growth, invasion mechanism, lymph node metastasis and biological characteristics of rectal cancer.

Objective To develop an RP-HPLC method for the content determination of heseridin in Hezhong Lipi Pills.Methods The Agilent HC-C18 column (250 mm×4.6 mm, 5μm) was used with methanol-0.1% phosphoric acid (35∶65) as the mobile phase at the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The detection wavelength was 283 nm, and the column temperarute was 40℃.Results The linear range of hesperidin was 0.15-3.64μg,r=1.000 (n=6). The average recovery was 98.97%, RSD=0.90% (n=6).Conclusion The method is accurate, simple, sensitive and with good repeatability, which can be applied to the quality control ofHezhong Lipi Pills.

ObjectiveTo investigate the relationship between enhanced CT examination and acute kidney injury in patients with acute pancreatitis.MethodsThe clinical data of 162 acute pancreatitis patients were analyzed retrospectively.Acute kidney injury was diagnosed and graded by RIFLE criterion.The patients were divided into two groups according to enhanced CT examination:enhanced CT group and non-enhanced CT group.ResultsEnhanced CT group had 85 cases,and non-enhanced CT group had 77 cases.The increased creatinine level in enhanced CT group was higher than that in non-enhanced CT group [(59 ± 13 ) μ mol/L vs.(38 ± 11 ) μ mol/L],and there was significant difference between two groups (P ＜0.01 ).The incidence of acute kidney injury in enhanced CT group was higher than that in non-enhanced CT group [30.6％ (26/85) vs.15.6％ (12/77)],and there was significant difference between two groups (P ＜0.01 ).Enhanced CT examination increased the risk of acute kidney injury occurrence (OR =1.293,95％ CI1.089-1.443).After adjusted by diabetes and APACHE Ⅱ score,enhanced CT examination was still anindependent risk factor of acute kidney injury (OR =1.282,95％ CI 1.185-1.377 ).ConclusionsEnhanced CT examination is a potential risk factor of acute kidney injury in acute pancreatitis patients.The time of enhanced CT examination is worthy of further study.

Objective To investigate the level of leptin in the serum of GDM mothers and their neonates and the variation of the leptin expression in placenta. Methods The concentrations of serum insulin and leptin in 24 GDM and 26 healthy mothers and neonates were examined by radioimmunoassay (RIA).The level of leptin mRNA in 50 placentas was examined by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). Results (1) The serum levels of leptin and insulin in GDM group [(18.62?7.86) ?g/L and (13.47?5.11) mIU/L] were significantly higher than those in control group [(14.21?7.59) ?g/L and (8.98?4.23) mIU/L,P 0.05) in both groups. Objective To determine the incidence of bacterial infection in neonates due to group B streptococcus(GBS) in our hospital. Methods The specimens were collected from 141 neonatal infants with infectious symptoms and maternal risk factors. 93 blood and 6 CSF samples were performed bacterial culture.141 blood sera, 65 urine and 6 CSF samples were tested for GBS antigen by countercurrent immunoelectrophoresis(CIE). Results In 141 neonatal infants, 27 cases were found GBS polysaccharide antigen positive(19.1%). Blood and CSF culture were positive only in 1 case. In 27 cases , there were 2 cases with meningitis, 6 cases with sepsis, 12 cases with infectious pneumonia , 2 cases with omphalitis, and 5 cases were only premature babies .There were 20 cases of early onset disease and 7 cases of late onset disease. There was one case that the same serotype(III/R) and DNA genes of GBS were found in the blood and CSF cultures of baby and his mother's vaginal swab culture . The antibacterial activity was found in the urine specimens of 32/34 cases in the first day on admission by micrococcus inhibition test, only 2 cases were negative. All patients were treated with Penicillin and Ampicillin. Conclusions (1)GBS is one of the pathogens in neonatal infection.(2)CIE method for identification of GBS polysaccharide antigen is sensitive and specific.(3)Penicillin was the first choice for neonatal GBS infection.

AIM: To establish the method of determining methylbenzene、dimethylbenzene、divinylbenzene、and phenylethene in gardenia extract. METHODS: The GC system consisted of DB-INNOWax capillary chromatographic column,nitrogen as the carrier gas,and FID as the detector. RESULTS: Methylbenzene was less than 890 mg/L,dimethylbenzene 2 170 mg/L,divinylbenzene and phenylethene 2000 mg/L,vespectively in gardenia extract. The average recoveries were within 96.8%~104.4%.The limits of detection were 0.125 mg/L-2.87 mg/L. CONCLUSION: The method is sensitive,accurate and reproducible,and it can be used to control the quality of gardenia extract.
