Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2012;18(2):126-127
Objective To explore the effect of family support system on depression and the quality of life of stroke patients. Methods 64 stroke patients were divided into observation group (n=32) and control group (n=32). Both groups accepted neurological medicine and conventional rehabilitation, and the observation group received family support additionally. The depression condition and the quality of life were accessed with Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) and The World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL)-100 respectively before and 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment. Results The scores of HAMD were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.01), the scores of WHOQOL-100 were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group after treatment (P<0.01). Conclusion The family support system can alleviate the depression and improve the quality of life of stroke patients.
2.RAPD Analysis on farm cultivars of fruits of Trichosanthes kirilowii from Shandong Province
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1994;0(03):-
Objective To explore the genetic diversity and relationship of different cultivars of the fruits of Trichosantheis kirilowii, and determine them in molecular level. Methods Different fram cultivars and fruits in wild plant of T. kirilowii from Shandong Province and T. hupehensis were detected by randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers with 25 randomized primers. The Jaccard coefficient was worked out by using NTSYS-pc software, and a cluster dendrogram of different samples was established based on unweighed pair-group method with arithmetic mean (UPGMA). Results The 25 selected primers produced 266 bands among which 232 bands (87.2%) were polymorphic. In the cluster dendrogram, T. hupehensis was far from the different cultivars and fruits in wild plant of T. kirilowii, but there was closer genetic relationship between Niuxin Gualou and Ren Gualou, Da Gualou, and Baleng Gualou, as well as Xiao Guang-dan Gualou and wild sample. Conclusion RAPD Markers can be used to standardize, arrange, and determine farm cultivars of fruits of T. kirilowii in molecular level, and indicate the genetic relationship and background, then provide important information for seed breeding and resourse protection of T. kirilowii.

Virologica Sinica 2008;23(3):218-225
The epidemiological effects of native and mutated YMDD motif in the HBV genome under the selective pressure of lamivudine were investigated. YMDD wild and mutation motif in HBV genome were detected by flow through reverse dot blots (FT-RDB) with KaiPuTM DNA HybriMax Rapid Hybridization Machine based on the principle of "Flow-through hybridization" and by the traditional Reverse Dot Blot assay. Sera from 1021 suspected lamivudine-resistant chronic HBV carders after more than 8 months of lamivudine therapy and the corresponding archived sera were collected and assayed. We found 35.94% were single type infections with 8.03% YMDD, 7.93% YIDD and 19.98% YVDD. It was also found that 64.06% were mixed infections including 1.96% YMDD and YIDD, 51.62% YMDD and YVDD, 1.96% YIDD and YVDD, 8.52% YMDD, YIDD and YVDD. The levels of infections containing YVDD motif reached 82.08%. The pretreatment infectious status were: YMDD single infection was 36.93%; YIDD single infection was 6.07%; YVDD single infection was 17.04%; YMDD and YIDD mixed infection was 0.97%; YMDD and YVDD mixed infection was33.99%; YIDD and YVDD mixed infection was 0.98%; YMDD, YIDD and YVDD mixed infection was 4.02%. Infections containing YVDD motif were only 56.03%. The 34.32% mutation rate of YMDD motif to YVDD was significantly higher than the 10.97% of YMDD to YIDD (U=10.98, P<0.05), as estimated by Mann-Whitney U-test for non-parametric data. HBV containing YVDD motif might have an evolutionary ascendancy and become the dominant type under the selective pressure of lamivudine.

This study was to explore the value of maternal serum screen in identification of fetal abnormal chromosome and neural tube defect(NTD). By using time-distinguished fluorescence immunoassay, serum levels of free-β-HCG and alpha fetal protein(AFP)were obtained in 7698 pregnant women at 15~20 +6weeks. and 483 were found at a higher risk of fetal abnormal chromosome. Based on amniotic fluid examination or cord blood testing on 344 high. Risk participants. Fetal abnormal chromosome was found in 18 women with a positive rate of 5. 2%. Twenty-five pregnant women were NTD high-risk, and their positive rate was 0. 3%. B-mode ultrasound identified 6 fetal malformations and 2 fetal deaths ( positive rate of 32. 0%). In high-risk or low-risk group, there were 25. 6%and 7. 7%subjects developed adverse outcome, respectively(P<0. 05). Our findings suggested that maternal serum screen is an effective prediction factor for fetal abnormal chromosome and NTD.

Objective: To compare the influence of nickel-chromium alloy and gold-platinum alloy porcelain-fused-to-metal ( PFM ) on ultramicrostructure of canine gingival tissues, to survey the biological effects after PFM full crown restoration, and to provide data for selection of PFM materials. Methods; The nickel-chromium alloy and gold-platinum alloy PFM full crowns were used to repair canines in 3 healthy dogs. The microstructure of canine gingival tissue was observed through light microscope and transmission electron microscope. Apoptosis of canine gingival cells was detected by TUNEL method. Results; Under light microscope, inflammatory cell infiltration and partial bleeding were seen in the nickel-chromium alloy PFM full crown repaired canine gingival tissues. Under transmission electron microscope, large amount of cell apoptosis and neuclear condensation were observed in these tissues, and apoptotic index was 58.63% ±11. 12%. While under light microscope, inflammatory cell infiltration and partial bleeding were not seen in the gold-platinum metal PFM full crown repaired canine gingival tissues. Under transmission electron microscope, only small amount of cell apoptosis was detected in these tissues, and apoptotic index was 26. 90% ± 17. 35%. Statistical significance was found in both nickel-chromium alloy group and gold-platinum metal group compared to control group. There was also statistical significance between nickel-chromium alloy group and gold-platinum metal group in cell apoptosis numbers (P <0. 05). Cell apoptosis number in nickel-chromium alloy group was much higher than that in gold-platinum metal group. Conclusion; The negtive effects on ultramicrostructure of gingival tissue using nickel-chromium alloy PFM are more evident than using gold-platinum metal. When select PFM to repair defect teeth, it is better to select the inactive gold-platinum metal PFM as base crown.

Journal of China Medical University 2017;46(6):552-556
Objective To observe the effect of curcumin combined with cisplatin on the proliferation of human tongue squamous cell carcinoma Tca?8113 cells, and explore the possible mechanism of their anti?tumor effect in vitro. Methods In this study, the samples were divided into four groups:curcumin, cisplatin, curcumin combined with cisplatin, and control. Detection of rate of inhibition of Tca?8113 cell proliferation was carried out by MTT assay. This was followed by observation of the morphological changes of the nuclei by Hoechst 33258 fluorescence staining. Subse?quently, cellular apoptosis was assayed by flow cytometry, and expression of Notch1 and epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)was examined by Western blotting. Results Results of MTT assay showed that curcumin combined with cisplatin inhibited the proliferation of tongue squamous cell carcinoma to a greater extent than either curcumin or cisplatin alone(P<0.05). Flow cytometry analysis indicated that, unlike curcumin or cisplatin alone, curcumin combined with cisplatin noticeably induced apoptosis(P<0.05). Results of Western blotting revealed that the expres?sion of Notch1 was upregulated, whereas the expression of EGFR was downregulated to a greater extent in the control group than in cells treated with curcumin or cisplatin alone. Unlike curcumin and cisplatin groups, the combined group revealed statistically significant expressions of Notch1 and EGFR(P<0.05). Conclusion Curcumin and cisplatin have a combined effect on inhibition of proliferation of human tongue squamous cell carcinoma Tca?8113 cells. The mechanism may be related to upregulation of the Notch1 signaling pathway and downregulation of the EGFR signal?ing pathway.
