objective To evaluate the clinical effect of touqing capsule associated with Fengchi on the vertebral artery type of cervical spondylosis(CSA)in the attack stage.Methods A total of 100 patients with CSA, according to the doctor order, were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group respectively, with 50 patients in each. The control group was treated with acupuncture therapy, the treatment group was additionally treated with Touqingcapsule on the basis of the control group, and both groups were treated for 20 days. The hemodynamics was detected by transcranial doppler, the change of TCM syndrome integral was observed before and after the treatment, and the clinical efficacy was evaluated.Results After treatment, the treatment group dizziness (1.10 ± 0.33 vs. 2.01 ± 0.26,t=14.909), neck shoulder ache (0.87 ± 0.16 vs. 1.92 ± 0.69,t=10.266), numbness (0.95 ± 0.14)vs. 1.87 ± 0.16,t=29.844), the total integral (2.16 ± 0.75 vs.3.89 ± 1.14,t=8.756) integral were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.01).Treatment group RVA (40.03 ± 5.89 cm/svs. 34.26 ± 6.26 cm/s,t=4.628), the LVA (42.14 ± 5.42 cm/svs.33.89 ± 6.08 cm/s,t=6.985) rise and PI (0.79 ± 0.14 vs.1.04 ± 0.19,t=7.312) reduction were significantly better than those of the control group (P<0.01). The total effective rate in the treatment group was significantly better than the control group (91.7%(44/48)vs. 74.5%(35/47),χ2=3.863, P=3.863).Conclusion Touqing Capsule associated with Fengchi is effective for CSA. Its functional mechanism is correlated with improvement of haemodynamics of vertebral-basilar artery of the CSA patients.

Objective: To investigate the effects of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb) on pregnancy outcomes of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET). Methods: The patients who underwent IVF-ET at the Reproductive Medicine Center of Hefei Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from December 2019 to November 2023, and had normal free thyroxine and 0.3-<10 mIU/L TSH levels were selected as subjects. The patients were divided into three groups based on TSH levels: 0.3-<2.5 mIU/L, 2.5-4 mIU/L, and >4-<10 mIU/L, and the patients with normal free thyroxine and TSH levels were further divided into TPOAb-positive and TPOAb-negative groups. The biochemical pregnancy rate, clinical pregnancy rate and miscarriage rate were compared among patients with different TSH and TPOAb groups. Results: A total of 3 876 patients were recruited, including 830 patients with fresh embryo transfer cycles and 3 046 patients with frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles. In the patients with fresh embryo transfer cycles, the biochemical pregnancy rate, clinical pregnancy rate and miscarriage rate were 59.16%, 52.77% and 19.41%, respectively. In the patients with frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles, these rates were 55.52%, 46.98% and 20.27%, respectively. For both groups, there were no statistically significant differences in biochemical pregnancy rate, clinical pregnancy rate and miscarriage rate between TPOAb-positive and TPOAb-negative patients or among the patients with different TSH groups (all P>0.05). Additionally, a follow-up study of 150 patients who had successfully delivered after IVF-ET from 2020 to 2022 with TSH levels of >4-<10 mIU/L showed that no intellectual developmental issues or tendencies toward intellectual developmental disorders were found in their offsprings. Conclusion In the context of normal free thyroxine levels, this study did not find any impacts of mildly elevated TSH levels or isolated TPOAb positivity on the pregnancy outcomes of IVF-ET.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Linda mixture self made by combination of disease with syndrome pattern for treatment of neonatal intrahepatic cholestasis disease caused by Citrin defects (NICCD) and to provide an experience in early diagnosis and treatment of NICCD.Methods The clinical features of 20 patients with NICCD was confirmed by NICCD common genetic loci detection during hospitalization admitted to the Department of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine in Wuhan Children Hospital from June 2012 to June 2015 were retrospectively analysed.The clinical efficacy of Chinese medicine Linda mixture for treatment of NICCD,before and after treatment,the index changes of liver function and coagulation function were observed and Color Doppler ultrasound was used to detect the situation of hepatosplenomegaly in the patients.Results There were 20 cases all their pathological jaundice occurring within 3 months old,after treatment,15 cases of them obtained clinical recovery and 5 cases were getting better,the average length of stay in hospital was (14.67 ± 1.56) days.After the treatment,the levels of serum total bilirubin (TBil),direct bilirubin (DBil),alanine aminotransferase (ALT),total bile acid (TBA) were markedly lower compared with those before treatment [TBil (μmol/L):64.0 ± 39.5 vs.173.5 ± 54.1,DBil (μmol/L):37.7±24.8 vs.80.9±46.4,ALT (U/L):42.1±25.8 vs.55.0±32.2,TBA (μnol/L):67.5±20.3 vs.195.0±61.3,all P ＜ 0.05],albumin (Alb) and total albumin (GLB) were significantly higher compared with those before treatment [Alb (U/L):37.9 ± 4.7 vs.33.1 ± 4.7,GLB (g/L):17.3 ± 4.0 vs.14.6 ± 2.8,both P ＜ 0.05],activated partial thromboplastin time (AP'TT) of coagulation function was significantly reduced (s:38.2± 8.3 vs.63.1±24.0,P ＜ 0.05).Color Doppler ultrasound examination showed that hepatosplenomegaly was shrunk after treatment [hepatomegaly (cm):2.12 ± 0.70 vs.3.04 ± 0.25,splenomegaly (cm):0.25 ± 0.03 vs.0.58 ± 0.32,both P ＜ 0.05].After 1 month of follow up,the infants' body weights were almost normal,the average increase in weight being (1.01±0.32) kg,the color and frequency of stool were distinctly better compared with those before treatment,the stool color in 15 cases was golden,pale yellow in 5 cases and no one,pottery clay in color.The stool frequencies of 18 cases were kept under 5 times,and fatty diarrhea situation was ameliorated.Conclusion Using Chinese medicine for treatment of NICCD can obtain significant clinical effects.

Objective To investigate the correlation between antiphospholipid antibody syndrome and the early onset of preeclampsia. Methods From May 2010 to July 2013, one hundred and threecases in-patient treatment of the early onset preeclampsia were enrolled in this study. The maternal serum anticardiolipin antibodies(ACA)and anti-β2-glycoproteinⅠantibody (Aβ2-GPⅠ) were detected by ELISA method. 58 cases of pregnant women were randomly divided into the routine treatment group (30 cases) and the anticoagulant therapy group (28 cases). Results ACA positive predictive value of the early onset preeclampsia value was 3.9%. No significant difference was found in the prolonged anticoagulation of early onset preeclampsia time between the control group and the treatment group. Conclusion ACA may not be used to predict the early onset preeclampsia. Anticoagulation therapy can′t extend the early onset preeclampsia time and improve the outcome of pregnancy.

ObjectiveTo investigate the histological features as well as the factors influencing liver disease progression in Chinese patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC). MethodsA total of 102 CHC patients who underwent percutaneous liver biopsy between August 2007 and May 2010 were recruited. Age, gender, body mass index (BMI) and transmission route of recruited patients were recorded. Serum levels of alanine transaminase (ALT) and aspartate transaminase (AST), HCV genotypes, HCV viral load and liver histological changes were detected. Statistical analysis was done by t test and Logistic regression. ResultsThe serum levels of ALT and AST in CHC patients with histological activity index (HAI) ≥4 were much higher, while platelet (PLT) counts were lower than those with HAI ＜4(t=2.209, 2. 298 and 2. 565, respectively; all P＜0.05). Likewise, in patients with F≥3, the serum levels of ALT and AST as well as the mean age and the duration of infection were significantly elevated compared with F ＜ 3 group ( t = 3.497, 2. 758, 2. 340 and 2. 570,respectively; all P＜0. 05), while PLT counts were much lower (t = 2. 761, P=0. 007). The unvariate predictors for HAI≥4 were female, ALT＞1 × upper limits of normal (ULN), AST level,F≥3, HCV RNA≥6 lgIU/mL and PLT counts. By mutivariate analysis, the Ishak stage score was the only independent predictor for HAI≥4 (OR 3.098, 95％CI 1.884-5. 092; P＜0.01). Finally,the univariate predictors for F≥3 were age, BMI≥24 kg/m2 , ALT＞1 × ULN, AST level, HAI≥4,PLT counts and duration of infection≥ 15 years. Multivariate analysis revealed that age (OR 1. 074,95％CI 1.006-1. 146; P=0.033), ALT level (OR 1. 035, 95％CI 1.015－1.055; P＜0.01), ASTlevel (OR 0. 969, 95％CI 0. 948－0. 990; P=0. 005), the duration of infection ≥15 years (OR 37. 215, 95％CI 5. 816－238. 127; P＜0.01) and HAI≥4 (OR 1. 939, 95％CI 1. 426－2. 636; P＜0.01) were independent predictors for F≥ 3. ConclusionAge, ALT level, AST level, duration of infection≥15 years, HAI≥4 are independent predictors for liver fibrosis.

Objective To investigate the incidence of live births with Down syndrome(DS) in Sanya city as well as to discuss the related risk factors .Methods The object of investigation was the 25 032 infants who were born in Sanya city ,then the children with clinical suspected of DS were confirmed by peripheral blood chromosome analysis .Meanwhile ,the clinical data of children and their parents were collected ,calculating the incidence of DS in this region and analyzing the related risk factors .Results In this region , the total incidence of DS was 0 .959‰ ,the incidences in the Han nationality and Li nationality were 0 .834‰ ,1 .442‰ respectively . The mean age of DS children′s mother was 29 .8 years old ,and the incidence of DS increased as their mother grew older .Before pregnancy ,DS children′s mother who had an exposure history of toxicant and drugs accounted for 45 .8% .Conclusion The inci‐dence of DS in Sanya is quite high ,so it is extremely essential to strengthen the women′s pregnancy Down syndrome screening and improve the prenatal diagnosis in this region .

Objective To explore the correlation between the immune related adverse(irAEs)reactions in patients treated with pembrolizumab and traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)constitution.Methods A total of 110 patients diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer for the first time were selected.When receiving pembrolizumab immunotherapy for the first time,a general information questionnaire,a TCM constitution classification and judgment scale,an immune related adverse reaction follow-up record book,and a patient's self-perception diary were used to investigate and analyze the TCM syndrome and adverse reactions of the patients.Results Among non-small cell lung cancer patients,there were more than four TCM constitutions,with 48 cases(43.64%)having a calm constitution,20 cases(18.18%)having a biased constitution,30 cases(27.27%)having a yang deficiency constitution,and 12 cases(10.91%)having a yin deficiency constitution.Qi deficiency and Yang deficiency were more prone to fatigue,while Yang deficiency was more prone to rash;Qi deficiency and Yin deficiency were more prone to itching;Yang deficiency was more prone to diarrhea;Non-small cell lung cancer patients with mild constitution were less prone to immune related adverse reactions.Conclusion TCM constitution is related to irAEs,which could predict the occurrence of immune related adverse reactions from the perspective of TCM constitution and intervene in adverse reactions early.

Objective:To investigate the clinical manifestations and characteristics of children infected with 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Wuhan City.Methods:The clinical data of 146 children diagnosed with 2019 novel coronavirus infection by nasopharyngeal swab real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction in Wuhan Children′s Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from January 21 to February 24, 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. The basic data, clinical symptoms, laboratory examinations, pulmonary imaging, clinical classification, treatment medication and the prognosis of disease were included for analysis.Results:Among the 146 cases, 86 (58.9%) were males and 60 (41.1%) were females, with a median age of 6 years and 10 months.Three cases (2.1%) had a history of underlying diseases, 127 cases (87.0%) had a clear history of infected family clusters, and two cases (1.4%) had a history of exposure with Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan City. The clinical classifications included 20 asymptomatic cases (13.7%), 26 mild cases (17.8%), 99 ordinary cases (67.8%), and one critical case (0.7%). A total of 146 patients were tested positive for nasopharyngeal swabs by 2019-nCoV nucleic acid. Among them, 10 patients had a negative nasopharyngeal swab nucleic acid test before diagnosis, and one of them had a negative nasopharyngeal swab nucleic acid test for two consecutive times. The initial symptoms were mainly fever (59 cases, 40.4%) and cough (52 cases, 35.6%). Thirteen cases (8.9%) showed decreased leukocyte counts and three cases (2.1%) showed decreased lymphocyte counts. In addition, aspartate aminotransferase increased in 23 cases (15.8%), serum creatinine increased in seven cases (4.8%), lactic acid dehydrogenase increased in 26 cases (17.8%), and C reactive protein increased in 38 cases (26.0%). Fifty-nine cases (40.4%) were tested positive for IgM antibody to Mycoplasma pneumoniae. One hundred cases (68.5%) were abnormal in pulmonary imaging and 50 cases (34.2%) presented with multiple frosted glass shadows. All the 146 children were given general treatment, and the antiviral treatment was mainly interferon or interferon combined with oral medication. As of February 24, 2020, 72 cases (49.3%) were discharged from the hospital after reaching the de-isolation standard, with a median length of stay of 10 days, and there was no death case.Conclusions:Children with 2019-nCoV infection in Wuhan City are mainly caused by family aggregation. The clinical classification is mainly ordinary type, and the laboratory examination has no specificity. Specimens could be collected from multiple repeatable sites for 2019-nCoV nucleic acid test in suspected cases. Chest computed tomography has certain value for the diagnosis of children with 2019-nCoV infection. The recent prognosis of the patients is good with general treatment.

Objective To analyze the prevention condition of skin tears of inpatients in level-III hospitals, so as to provide basis for making prevention strategies.Methods 14 level-III hospitals were involved in the cross-section survey. Within the same time period, using the same research tools, methods and procedure, 964 trained nurses inspected patients from head to toes, who were selected by convenience sampling, with hospital stay ≥24 h, with age≥18 years old, and with signature on the informed consent documents, and also investigated implementation of prevention measures. Results A total of 18 806 effective cases were obtained, with 238 locations of skin tears in 199 patients found. Incidence of hospital-acquired skin tears was 1. 06%. Implementation rate of risk assessment and nutrients and water supplement was 3. 92% and 10. 35%. Implementation rate of prevention of falling and falling down from bed was 51. 58% and 47. 20%. Usage of assistant tools and emollients accounted for 28. 23% and 2. 69%. Adopting suitable moving techniques and wearing long sleeves, trousers or long stockings accounted for 8.07% and 6.95%. Differences of incidence rate, risk assessment and implementation of prevention measures of skin tears among teaching hospitals, comprehensive hospitals and specialty hospitals were statistically meaningful ( P < 0. 05 for all ) . Conclusions Risk assessment and prevention of skin tears in these 14 level-III hospitals were not satisfactory. Prevention measures vary from different types of the hospitals. In future, nurses should be trained to strengthen awareness of risk assessment and prevention, and implementation rate and consistency of preventive measures should be improved.

Objective To investigate the role of complement C3 in early predicting pregnancy outcomes of frozen-thawed embryo transfer(F-ET).Methods A total of 378 F-ET cycles were prospectively collected and divided into group A(complement C3≤1.05,120 cycles)and group B(complement C3>1.05,258 cycles)based on the best cutoff value of complement C3 for predicting F-ET pregnancy outcomes.The outcomes of the two groups were compared,and the best cutoff value of complement C3 for predicting F-ET spontaneous abortion was analyzed in group B.Results Age was a risk factor for successful F-ET pregnancy(P<0.05),and complement C3 and embryo type were protective factors for successful F-ET pregnancy(P<0.05).The area under the receiver-operating characteristic curve(ROC)of complement C3 for predicting F-ET pregnancy outcome was 0.702,and the best cutoff value was 1.05 g/L,with a clinical pregnancy sensitivity of 87.60%and a specificity of 52.00%.The clinical pregnancy rate and embryo implantation rate in group B were both significantly higher than those in group A(67.05%vs.52.75%,P<0.05).The best cutoff value of complement C3 for predicting spontaneous abortion after F-ET was 1.32 g/L,with an area under the ROC curve of 0.760,a sensitivity of 69.00%,and a specificity of 81.20%.Conclusions Complement C3 is of significance in the early prediction of F-ET pregnancy outcome.When complement C3 exceeds the level of 1.32 g/L,it may lead to an increase in the rate of spontaneous abortion.
