In this paper, we using Mexican-hat wavelet transform to detect characteristic points of ECG signal based on the characteristic points corresponding with the extremes of Mexican-hat wavelet transform. It offers a new detection method of ECG signal analysis. This method is simple and it is proved to be accurate and reliable. The correct rate of QRS detection rate examined by the MIT-BIT arrhythmia database rises up to 99.9%.

OBJECTIVETo clone the full length of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) related novel gene GYLZ-RCC18 and study its function.
METHODSSMART RACE technology was used to clone the full length of GYLZ-RCC18. RT-PCR was used to detect its expression in renal cell carcinoma tissue at different stages and grades. We transfected the antisense oligonucleotide of GYLZ-RCC18 to renal cell carcinoma cell line, GRC-1, and analyzed proliferation activity, growth rate, apoptosis, and mortality changes.
RESULTSThe full length of GYLZ-RCC18 (GenBank accession number: BE825133) cDNA was about 3.5 kb. GYLZ-RCC18 had a higher expression in higher grades and stages of renal cell carcinoma than in lower ones. The expression of GYLZ-RCC18 in renal cell carcinoma was much higher than in normal kidney. After the transfection of GYLZ-RCC18 antisense oligonucleotide, the mortality of GRC-1 increased significantly, while proliferative activity and growth rate were substantially inhibited at the same time. The antisense oligonucleotide induced apoptosis of GRC-1 through the entire observation time.
CONCLUSIONGYLZ-RCC18 is an important novel gene related to renal cell carcinoma. Overexpression of this gene results in higher growth and proliferative activity and has an antiapoptosis effect on renal cell carcinoma cells. Transfection of the antisense oligonucleotide may inhibit the generation and development of renal cell carcinoma.

AIM:We investigated how AT 1-R stimulated by mechanical stresses induces cardiac fibrosis .METHODS:We produced in vivo cardiac pressure overload model in angiotensinogen knockout ( ATG-/-) mice and in vitro mechanically-stretched cell model in cultured neonatal cardiac cells of ATG-/-mice both lack the participation of Ang II .RESULTS: Pressure overload for 4 weeks in ATG-/-mice induced myocardial hypertrophy accompanied by the significant interstitial fibrosis , however , the TGF-β, a key regulatory factor of fibrosis, was not significantly increased in these ATG-/-mice.Meanwhile, the inhibitor for AT1-R significantly inhibited mechani-cal stress-induced cardiac fibrosis in these ATG-/-models whereas inhibition of TGF-βdid not.CONCLUSION:The results showed that mechanical stress-induced fibrotic responses through AT 1-R required the phosphorylation of Smad 2 but not the involvement of TGF-β.

A survey on the quality of life of diabetic patients was conducted in Shanghai Changqiao community in August 2017.Total 1 002 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)aged ≥60 years were randomly selected to participant in this face-to-face questionnaire survey,967 participants completed the survey with a effective rate of 96.5%.The Anxiety Self-Rating Scale and Diabetes-Specific Quality of Life Scale (A-DQOL) were applied for evaluation. The results showed that up to 48.9%(473/967) participants had an anxiety state.Multivariate stepwise regression analysis showed that the educational level was the main influencing factor of A-DQOL (P<0.05).The educational level and fasting blood glucose were the influencing factors of satisfaction degree and impacting degree score;educational level, treatment mode and BMI were the influencing factors of grade Ⅰ anxiety;age and educational level were the influencing factors of grade Ⅱ anxiety (all P<0.05).The survey demonstrates that age, educational level, treatment, fasting blood glucose and BMI would affect the quality of life of elderly T2DM patients.

Objective:
To investigate the feasibility of echocardiography-guided closed-chest repeated intraventricular blood sampling in mice, and to clarify the maximum blood volume that can be collected by this method, and whether the method can be used for long-term repeated blood collection in mice.
Methods:
Twenty-four male C57BL/6J mice (10-14 weeks old) were divided into the terminal experiment group (
