Objective To observe the influence of atorvastatin on serum high sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels and arteriosclerosis plaque of coronary artery in patients with unstable angina. Objective To assess the feasibility and effectiveness of transcatheter arterial embolization for the treatment of splenic artery aneurysms (SAAs). Methods Transcatheter splenic arterial embolization with coils was performed in eight cases of SAAs. The patients were followed for 3-36 months. The follow-up examinations with CT or color Doppler ultrasonic angiography were made. Results Technical success was achieved in all eight cases with no severe complications. During the follow-up period, one patient died of severe abdominal bleeding 10 months after the operation and the other seven patients remained in good condition with no occurrence of re-canalization of the lesions. Conclusion Transeatheter arterial embolization is a safe and effective treatment for splenic artery aneurysms. It is necessary to make a regular follow-up imaging study.

BACKGROUND: To discuss the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) related to stem cell for a try to offer a new combining site +for the modernization research of the basic theory of TCM.METHODS: Comparatively analyzing the characteristic of stem cells and the essence theory in TCM.RESULTS: Stem cells have the capacity for both self-renewal and differentiation and can produce the daughter cells with the same phenotype and genotype as themselves. Stem cells have the plasticity that a stem cell may differentiate into cells other than the lineages to which it is committed, and therefore, is also termed transdifferentiation. So it is of great value for stem cell application in tissue engineering, curing tissue-damaged diseases and as the vector for transgene therapy. We compared the character of stem cells with essence theory, an elementary and important part of the basic theory of TCM, and found that stem cells are related greatly to essence,according to its two origin, congenital essence and acquired essence, and four kinds of functions of essence, which are controlling reproduction,controlling growth and development, manufacturing marrow and transforming blood; nourishing and moistening the zangfu-organs. Furthermore, stem cells especially have direct connected with the congenital essence which is stored in the kidneys. Congenital essence is the reproductive essence accepted from parents. Sperm and ovum merge to be oosperm, that is just the totipotent stem cell. The connotative meanings of congenital essence include all germ plasm and the special developing message of a genus in the oosperm. Genital stem cells are in charge of the function of controlling reproduction of congenital essence. Growth and development function is related to the proliferation and differentiation of adult stem cells controlled by gene. Manufacturing marrow function has relation with bone marrow stem cells and neural stem cells (NSC) in medullary cavity in which contains bone marrow, spinal cord and brain. Dominating bones function of the kidneys is related to mesenchymal stem cells (MSC), and hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) execute the function of producing blood completely.CONCLUSION: We consider that stem cells have a close relation with the congenital essence, and we put forward a new viewpoint in this research that stem cells have the same properties of congenital essence, and they are existence formation of congenital essence in cell level.

ObjectiveTo study the efficacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with surgical resection in the treatment of ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).MethodsThe clinical data of 26 patients who presented with ruptured HCC to our hospital from January 2008 to December 2011 were retrospectively studied. These patients received TACE (n=19),surgical resection (n=7),and surgical resection after TACE (n=8).ResultsShock in the 19 patients who received TACE was promptly corrected and the vital signs were stabilized.On subsequent CT,the tumors shrunk in size.Salvage liver resection was carried out in 8 patients 1 month after TACE.After treatment,AFP decreased or became normalized,thus the treatment results were good. A one-stage liver resection was carried out in 7 patients. One patient died after operation and peritoneal metastases occurred in 4 patients. Conclusions TACE stopped bleeding from ruptured HCC efficaciously,reduced the need for open exploration,and improved the rate of resection of HCC.TACE combined with surgical resection significantly lowered the rate of abdominal tumor metastases.

Objective To discuss the ability of nursing major undergraduate students in disaster response in order to construct undergraduate's disaster response ability evaluation system.Methods Delphi method was used to draw the evaluation system framework on the basis of consulting literature material and analyzing theories.35 related experts attended it.The choice was evaluated according to the 5 classification Likert evaluation method.Results Consensus was reached after two rounds inst.Questionnaire recovery rate was 100％.Construct undergraduate's disaster response ability evaluation system with 3 first-level indexes,12 second-level indexes,37 third-level indexes.Conclusions The undergraduate's disaster response ability evaluation system based on Delphi experts method is reliable.It can provide reference for the nursing major undergraduate student's disaster response training and research.

Objective: To establish a method of HPLC for determination of paeoniflorin in Yifu Capsules. Methods: HPLC analysis was carried out on ALLIMA C 18 column with acetonitrile water(15:85) as a mobile phase and detection wavelength at 230nm. Results: The linear range was 0.0798～0.7980?g (?=0.9998,n=6), and the average recovery was 99.00%(RSD=2.17%,n=5). Conclusion: The method is simple, accurate,highly sensitive and reproducible. It can be used for determination of paeoniflorin in Yifu Capsules.

Objective To study the coexpression of protein folding modulators,including chaperones(DnaK,DnaJ,and GroEL-GroES) and disulfide isomerase Dsb molecules(DsbA and DsbC) on the bioactivity of eukaryotic expressed urokinase(UK).Methods The gene sequences of DnaK,DnaJ,GroEL-GroES,DsbA and DsbC were isolated from the chromosome of E.coli by PCR.The obtained fragments mentioned above were cloned into the plasmid pBAD-1 under the control of araB promoter and then the plasmids were transformed into E.coli BW25113 and HB101 together with a compatible vector pQE-UK.The amount of expressed UK was measured by Bradford method and its activity was analyzed by fibrin plate method for its fibrinolysis.Results The activity of expressed UK was increased by co-expressing with DnaK,GroEL-GroES,DsbA,and DsbC in BW25113.Among them,the highest activity was achieved by co-expressing with GroEL-GroES.Conclusion Co-expressing of chaperones or disulfide isomerase can improve the bioactivity of UK expressed in E.coli.

Objective To assess the effectiveness of repeated trans-cranial magnetic stimulation ( rTMS) in relieving post-stroke depression ( PSD). Methods PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane library, Web of Science, CNKI, WANFANG, and VIP were searched for reports of randomized, controlled trials of rTMS treatment of PSD published before June 2015. Crude standardized mean differences ( SMDs) and odds ratios with 95% confidence in-tervals ( CIs) were calculated for depression intensity and effectiveness rate after treatment using random or fixed effects models. Results Twenty-four studies involving 856 rTMS-treated patients and 802 control patients were in-cluded in the meta-analysis. The results showed that compared with the control group, PSD patients showed significant reductions in depression after rTMS treatment ( SMD=-1.36;95% CI-1.6 to-1.12;P≤0.05) . The total effective-ness rate in the treated group was 85% with a reduction in NIHSS score ( SMD=-0.82;95% CI-1.2 to-0.44;P≤0.05) . Subgroup analysis showed that neither the frequency of rTMS stimulation, the site stimulated, nor time after stroke had a significant influence on the effectiveness of rTMS. Additionally, a few studies reported adverse reactions after rTMS. Conclusion rTMS appears to be a safe and effective therapy for PSD. Further well-controlled trials may elucidate the mechanism underlying the placebo effects of the sham rTMS observed among PSD patients.

ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation of lipids and lipoproteins with cardiac function in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).MethodsParameters of blood pressure, serum lipids and lipoproteins, clinical features, radionuclide ventriculographic and coronary angiographic findings were analyzed retrospectively in 584 CHD patients treated with standard treatment.ResultsThe left cardiac dysfunction of CHD patients was correlative positively with age, systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), blood glucose, body mass index (BMI), smoking, total cholesterol(TC) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-ch) significantly(P<0.001), not correlative with high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-ch). The left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and left ventricular peak filling rate (LVPFR) were decreased along with the levels of TC and LDL-ch increased (P<0.05～0.01).ConclusionTC and LDL-ch are positively correlative with left cardiac dysfunction in CHD patients. In order to reduce cardiac damage of CHD associated with hyperlipoidemia, more attention should be paid to the amelioration of coronary arteriosclerosis and the reduction of serum lipids and lipoproteins.

ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of heme oxygenase- 1 ( HO- 1 ) on pancreas and liver in severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) rats, and explore its probable mechanism. MethodsA total of 40 male SD rats were randomLy divided into 4 groups: control group(n = 10) ; SAP group(n = 10) ; HO-1 stimulation group (75 μg/kg hemin was injected intraperitoneally at 30 minutes after model establishment, n = 10 ) ; HO-1 inhibition group(20 μg/kg ZnPP was injected intraperitoneally at 30 minutes after model establishment, n = 10). Sodium Cholate (3％) was retrogradedly injected into the pancreatic duct to produce the SAP model. To observe the histopathological changes of pancreas, liver tissues were observed and serum, pancrease and liver tissues concentration of HO-1, IL-10 and TNF-α in different groups were observed 24 h after the SAP model establishment. ResultsCompared with those in SAP model group, the pathological scores were lower in HO-1 stimuLation group[ (7.50 ±0.58) vs (10.50 ±0. 71) ; ( 1.20 ±0.42) vs (1.70 ±0.48) ]( P ＜ 0.05 ), and the serum, pancreas and liver tissues HO- 1 [ (0.97 ± 0.02) ng/mL, (0.78 ± 0.09) ng/mL,(0.73 ±0.05) ng/mL]and IL-10[(101.72 ±2.63) ng/mL, (63.58 +1.02) pg/mL, (169.40 ±3.06) pg/mL ]concentrations were significantly elevated in HO- 1 stimuLation group ( P ＜ 0.05 ), while the serum, pancreas and liver tissues TNF-α [ (22.85 ± 1.74) pg/mL, (26.50 ± 1.3) pg/mL, (35.88 ±0.98 ) pg/mL]concentrations were significantly decreased in HO-1 stimuLation group (P ＜ 0.05 ). Compared with those in SAP model group, the pathological scores were higher in HO-1 inhibition group (P ＜0.05 ), and the serum, pancreas and liver tissues HO-1 and IL-10 concentrations were significantly decreased( P ＜0.05 ), while the serum, pancreas and liver tissues TNF-α concentrations were significantly elevated (P ＜ 0.05 ). CondusionThe results of the study demonstrated that HO- 1 over- expression has protective effects on the pancreas and liver in SAP. UP-regulated IL-10 expression and down-reguLated TNF-α expression might be served as a potential mechanism.
