Objective The purpose of the present study was to develop an animal model of type II diabetic coro-nary heart disease in Zuker diabetic fatty ( ZDF) rats. Methods The ZDF rat model of type II diabetic coronary heart disease was prepared by high-fat diet feeding combined with continuous injection of isoprenaline hydrochloride (ISO) in a dose of 1 mg· mL-1 for 10 consecutive days.Serum creatine kinase (CK), and creatine kinase izozyme (CK-MB), ST segment in electrocardiogram ( ECG) and myocardial pathological changes were detected to evaluate the rat model. Results CK of both the control and model groups was gradually increased with ISO injections, while CK-MB increased first and then decreased. The ST segment in ECG part II had significant changes. The pathological examination found that about half of the myocardial cross section in the model group was necrotic after injections of ISO for 5 days and more than 3/4 of the my-ocardial cross section was necrotic after injection of ISO for 10 days. The results indicated that ISO caused myocardial inju-ry in ZDF rats. Conclusions The variation of CK-MB, CK, ST segments in ECG and myocardial necrosis indicate that the model is successfully established. The use of high-fat diet combined with continuous injection of isoprenaline hydrochlo-ride in a dose of 1 mg· mL is a simple way to develop a Zuker diabetic fatty rat model of type II diabetic coronary heart dis-ease.

Objective To study the effects and security of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells transPlantation (UC-MSCs) for Patients with refractory systemic luPus erythematosus(SLE). Methods Forty Patients with refractory SLE were divided into two grouPs at random. All of Patients were treated for glucocorticoid and CTX, then Patients of the 2 grouP were transPlanted for UC-MSCs.All of Patients were observed before and 2 weeks after treatment,1 month,2 months,3 months,6 months,9 months and 12 months of clinical manifestations and laboratory Parameters . Results 2 weeks after treatment, 60%of the 1 grouP were SLEDAI<10 scores, and the 2 grouPs were 90%. There was statistically significant difference between the two grouPs (χ2=7.619, P=0.006). 1 year after treatment, PLT,ALB and C3 of the 2 grouPs were more than the 1 grouPs(P<0.05). SLEDAI,U-Pro,ESR and Hs-CRP of the 1 grouPs were more than the 2 grouPs(P<0.05). WBC,Cr and C4 of the two grouPs had not statistically significant difference(P﹥0.05). The recurrence rate of the 1 grouPs was 45%. Of the 2 grouPs was 15%.There was statistically significant difference between the two grouPs (χ2=4.286, P=0.038). Conclusion It is effective and safe for refractory SLE to transPlant UC-MSCs after using glucocorticoid and CTX. Further observation is required to evaluate long term efficacy and adverse reaction of UC-MSCs.

The aim of the present studies was to investigate the cardioprotection of late IP at 72 h and determine the involvement of iNOS, nNOS and COX-2 in this protection. Conscious rabbits were preconditioned with three cycles of 5-minute coronary occlusion/5-minute reperfusion. The myocardial infarct area in the rabbits preconditioned 72 h earlier was significantly smaller than that in control rabbits. The activity of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and the level of 6-Keto-PGF1alpha in the rabbits preconditioned 72 h earlier were lower than those in control rabbits. The left ventricular systolic pressure (LVSP) and maximal velocity of contraction and relaxation (+/- dP/dtmax) were improved in rabbits preconditioned 72 h earlier. The nNOS-selective inhibitors N-propyl-L-arginine and selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor celecoxib completely blocked the protection of late IP at 72 h, whereas the iNOS selective inhibitor S-methybisothiourea had no effect. In conclusion, the cardioprotection observed in the final stage of late IP (72 hours) is mediated by nNOS or COX-2, but not by iNOS.

OBJECTIVETo study the chemical constituents of involatile moiety of Pogostemon cablin.
METHODCompounds were isolated and purified by repeated column chromatography, and their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis.
RESULTNine compounds have been isolated and identified: epifriedelinol (1), 5-hydroxymethol-2-furfural (2), succinic acid (3), beta-sitosterol (4), daucosterol (5), crenatoside (6), 3'''-O-methylcrenatoside (7), isocrenatoside (8), and apigenin-7-O-beta-D-(6"-p-coumaryl)-glucoside (9).
CONCLUSIONCompounds 2, 3, 6-8 were isolated from Pogostemon genus for the first time.

Cancer Research and Clinic 2022;34(4):310-313
Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, and its morbidity and mortality increase year by year. In recent years, some patients with colorectal cancer have benefited from precision targeted therapies, but the overall prognosis is still unsatisfactory. Treatment of homologous recombination deficiency represented by BRCA1/2 has become a hot research direction at present. With the wide application and exact curative effect of poly (adenosine diphosphate-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors in ovarian cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer and other malignant tumors, PARP inhibitors are also gradually being used in colorectal cancer. This review summarizes the current research progress of PARP inhibitors in treatment of colorectal cancer.

Objective:To explore the risk factors for death within 1 year after hip fracture surgery in the elderly. Methods:A case control study was made on the clinical data of 551 elderly patients with hip fracture treated in Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University from January 2019 to December 2020, including 182 males and 369 females; aged 65-100 years [80(73,86)years]. Joint replacement, cannulated screw fixation or proximal femoral nail fixation were performed. The patients were divided into survival group ( n=494) and death group ( n=57) based on the death within 1 year after surgery recorded at postoperative telephone follow-up. The gender, age, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, neurological diseases, chronic renal failure, anemia on admission, fracture types, American anesthesiologist Association (ASA) classification, operative methods, preoperative waiting time, duration of operation and perioperative blood transfusion were recorded in two groups. Univariate Cox regression was used to analyze the correlation between the above indexes and death within 1 year after surgery. All indexes with P<0.2 in the univariate analysis were included in multivariate Cox regression analysis to clarify the independent risk factors for death within 1 year after surgery. Results:Univariate Cox regression analysis showed that death within 1 year after surgery correlated with gender, age chronic respiratory diseases, chronic renal failure and anemia on admission (all P<0.01), but not with hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, neurological diseases, fracture types, ASA classification, operative methods, preoperative waiting time, duration of operation or perioperative blood transfusion (all P>0.05). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that male ( HR=2.08, 95% CI 1.20, 3.61, P<0.01), age ≥ 80 years ( HR=2.22, 95% CI 1.15, 4.28, P<0.05), chronic respiratory diseases ( HR=2.54, 95% CI 1.19, 5.40, P<0.05), chronic renal failure ( HR=4.57, 95% CI 1.27, 16.44, P<0.05), anemia on admission ( HR=2.82, 95% CI 1.38, 5.76, P<0.01) were significantly associated with death within 1 year after surgery. Conclusion:Male age≥ 80 years, chronic respiratory disease, chronic renal failure and anemia on admission are independent risk factors for death within 1 year after hip fracture surgery in the elderly.
