Compound trauma was identified in 25. 6% of total cases. All the foreign bodies were successfully removed directly, with an incision, or with phacoemulsification and intraocularlens implantation. No any operation complication or infection during following-up after antibiotic treatment was observed. Their vision was better after treatment than before it, with statistically significant difference(P
2.Noncompetitive antagonists and agonists of glutamate receptor regulate filopodia formation in epidermal cells and melanosome transfer: an experimental study
Chinese Journal of Dermatology 2013;46(12):871-876
Objective To investigate the regulatory effect of glutamate signaling pathway on filopodia formation in epidermal cells and on melanosome transfer. Methods Epidermal melanocytes and keratinocytes were isolated from human foreskin and subjected to subculture. After two to three passages of subculture, the melanocytes and keratinocytes were cultured alone or in combination with or without the presence of MK801 (an antagonist of N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (NMDA) receptor) of 100 μmol/L,or NMDA (the activator of NMDA receptor) of 100 μmol/L,for 24 hours. The melanocytes irradiated with UVB at 311 nm served as the control.Scanning electron microscopy was used to observe the appearance of filopodia and dendrites of melanocytes and keratinocytes.Melanosome transfer was visualized under confocal laser scanning microscopy after double immunofluorescent staining. Results Although no obvious changes were observed in the number of dendrites in monocultured melanocytes after treatment with MK801 or NMDA for 24 hours, dendrites became thinner at the terminus and longer with a decrease in the number and length of filopodia after MK801 treatment, but thicker and shorter with an increase in the number and length of filopodia after NMDA treatment compared with untreated monocultured melanocytes. In the coculture system, filopodia were observed between the untreated melanocytes and keratinocytes, and the number of filopodia in melanocytes was larger in the side adjacent to keratinocytes than in the opposite side.Compared with the untreated coculture system, the number of both filopodia connecting melanocytes and keratinocytes and filopodia extending from melanocytes to keratinocytes decreased in the coculture system after treatment with MK801 of 100 μmol/L,but increased after treatment with NMDA of 100 μmol/L,for 24 hours.Melanosomes were found in keratinocytes cocultured with melanocytes without treatment, which were decreased in number after 24-hour treatment with MK801 of 100 μmol/L,but increased in number and even present in keratinocytes nonadiacent to melanocytes after 24-hour treatment with NMDA of 100 μmol/L.Conclusion Glutamate signaling pathway may modulate the transfer of melanosomes from melanocytes to keratinocytes via modulating the appearance of melanocyte dendrites and formation of filopodia.

Chinese Traditional Patent Medicine 1992;0(03):-
Objective: To ascertain the process conditions for extracting the volatile oil from kangchi Capsules. Methods: The effects of water adding amount and extraction time on the yield of volatile oil were studied. The extraction condition of percolation was established with the extract yield and extraction transfer rate of tanshinone Ⅱ A as markers and the optimum condition for reflux method also was selected with the orthogonal test. Results: The volatile oil of Rhizome Acori Graminei could be basically extracted when it was extracted for 5 hours with 12 times of water. Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae and Radix Polygalae could be effectively extracted with the peocolation and reflux methods in 90% alcohol as a solvent. But the percolation method used less energy consumption and solvent than refluex method. So the production cost was lowered. Conclusion: The experimental results provide the basis for the ascertainment of extraction process of kangchi Capsules.
4.Clinical Study on NGAL and Iron Status in Patients with Chronic Renal Anemia
Journal of Modern Laboratory Medicine 2017;32(3):119-122
Objective To evaluated the association between the NAGL and the chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients with iron status, which was occurred iron scarcity for CKD patient in clinical. Methods 154 CKD patients were included in this study.Serum neutrophil gelatinase-related lipid transport protein(NGAL) were detected in anemia group and non-anemia group of chronic kidney disease. The NGAL,univariate correlation and multivariate regression analysis,as well as ROC curve analysis, were used to assess and compared the diagnostic potential of NGAL,ferritin,EPO and Tfr (transferrin receptor) in CKD patients after analyzing the patient's iron status. Results NGAL levels were markedly higher in CKD patients with anemia than CKD patients without anemia. In the analysis,NGAL was inverse correlated with hemoglobin, hematocrit,MCV,MCH,serum iron and TSAT(correlation relation was-0.36,-0.32,-0.26,-0.31,-0.38,-0.3,respectively).ROC analysis was employed to assess and compare the diagnostic potentials of the NGAL,ferritin,EPO,and Tfr (transferritin receptor) in identifying this condition among CKD patients. The NGAL showed that the area under the curve of iron deficiency in CKD patients (AUC) was 0.713,with good sensitivity and specificity (58.6% vs 74.7 %).Conclusion NGAL might be proposed as a new tool in the assessment of iron deficiency and in the management of iron therapy for CKD patients.

Objective To determine the prevalence of pain beyond the osteoporotic vertebral com-pression fracture (OVCF) in patients undergoing percutaneous vertebral augmentation and the response of pain to the treatment. Methods A retrospective study of 104 patients undergoing percutaneous vertebral augmentation (pereutaneous vertebroplasty and pereutaneous kyphoplasty) was performed to examine the lo-cations and severities of pain beyond the OVCF before and after operation. The Visual Analog Sscale (VAS,10-point scale) and Activities of Daily Living (ADL, 5-point scale) were used. Results Of the 104 patients, 48 (46.2%) suffered pain beyond the OVCF. The pain was firstly located in the sacrococeygeal region and buttocks (26.0%), secondly in the abdomen and sub-xiphoid process (10.6%) and thirdly in the flank, ribs and chest (9.6%) . For all the cases, the mean VAS score decreased from 8.9±0. 8 before vertebral augmentation to 2.9±1.4 after augmentation (t=37.410, P=0.000), and the mean ADL score decreased from 4.1±0.6 before operation to 2.0±0.7 after operation (t=25.331, P =0.000) . For the patients suffering pain beyond the OVCF, the mean VAS score decreased from 8.8±0.9 before vertebral augmentation to 2.8±1.5 after augmentation (t=23.722, P=0.000), and the mean ADL score decreased from 4.2±0.7 before operation to 2.0±0. 7 after operation (t=15.373, P=0.000). The decreases in VAS and ADL scores were not affected by the pain. Conclusion The pereutaneous vertebral augmentation can effectively relieve the pain beyond the OVCF.

A spore is another life cycle form of Bacillus anthracis for resisting starvation. When conditions are favorable for growth, the dormant spore will germinate,go through outgrowth, and are ultimately converted back into a growing cell. As the first step back to vegetative growth, germination could be induced by nutrients and a variety of non-nutrient agents. Nutrient germinants trigger cation release and water absorption by binding to receptors in the spore′s inner membrane. Then the spore′s peptidoglycan cortex is hydrolyzed and the spore core rehydrates, which allows the resumption of spore metabo-lism and macromolecular synthesis. This paper reviews the nutrient germinant receptor and cortex lytic enzymes in the spore germination process of B.anthracis.
