ObjectiveTo observe the effect of the compound of the allogeneic morselized bone and the calcium phosphate cement on repairing bone defect.MethodsThe rabbit models of bilateral radius bone defect were created. 40 rabbits were randomly divided into group A, group B and group C. Animals of the group A were implanted with the compound of the allogeneic morselized bone and the calcium phosphate cement, group B implanted with allogeneic morselized bone, and group C as blank control implanted nothing. The X-ray examination, histopatholgical examination, vascularization and biomechanics of bone defect were evaluated at 4 and 8 weeks after operation.ResultsThe repair of bone defect, quantity and rate of the new formation bone and biomechanics measurement of the group A were superior than the group B; while, no repair of bone defect was found in the group C.ConclusionThe implantation of the allogeneic morselized bone can repair bone defect, but the effect of implanting the compound of the allogeneic morselized bone and the calcium phosphate cement is better than the former.

Objective To observe the concentration change of 0.5% peracetic acid used as disinfectant in the indoor air. Methods KC-6D gas-sampler and ion chromatograph were employed and sampling interval time was 10-15 min, 7 samples were collected each time in both of the condition of closed and ventilated, the same experiment was repeated for 3 times. Results As the time went on, the concentration change of 0.5% peracetic acid in the indoor air increased from 6.24 mg/m3 to 20.72 mg/m3 in the condition of closed and decreased in the condition of ventilated from 6.92 mg/m3 to 3.36 mg/m3. Conclusion In a closed room of 20 m3, using 500 ml 0.5% peracetic acid, after 30 minutes of disinfection followed by 60 minutes of ventilation, the concentration of peracetic acid will be about 3.36 mg/m3 in the air of the room.

Objective To investigate the exposure level of VOCs in different population and the health effects. Methods In 2005, a questionnaire survey relating to inhalation exposure assessment of VOCs and housing decoration characteristics was carried out in 200 newly decorated apartments (628 residents), 30 house decoration workers and 20 painting workers of an automobile manufacture factory. Indoor concentrations of formaldehyde, BTEX-compounds and TVOC were measured in typical apartments, offices, houses in where the decoration workers were operating, the painting workshops, and public indoor environments. Average daily exposure doses and potential doses for common people at home (non-occupational exposure group) and workers in occupational environments (occupational exposure group) to formaldehyde and BTEX-compounds and TVOC were estimated by combining the survey results with monitoring data. Results The percentages of whom having different discomfortable symptoms in the workers in the painting workshop were higher than that in common people (P

Objective To evaluate the curative effect of metallic stent placed for malignant and chronic benign ureteral obstruction. Methods From October 2013 to April 2014, 10 patients were given placement of the metallic stents for treatment of malignant ureteral ob-struction and chronic benign ureteral obstruction in our institutionl. ECT was performed to test split kidney function after metallic stents placement. Results After the mean follow-up time of 4 months ( ranged from 1 to 7 months) , unilateral renal function improved in 11 cases. And there was no decrease of kidney function among all the patients who were given placement of the metallic stents. Conclusion Metallic stent is a valuable treatment for releasing the malignant and chronic benign ureteral obstruction.

Objective To observe the effects of modified Jianpi Yishen Decoction on urinary osteopontin (OPN) in calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis patients after percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) or ureteroscope lithotomy (URL);To clarify the mechanism of modified Jianpi Yishen Decoction on the prevention of calcium oxalate kidney stones. Methods Totally 116 calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis patients were randomly divided into trial group (62 cases) and control group (54 cases). The trial group took modified Jianpi Yishen Decoction every other day, while the control group took potassium sodium hydrogen citrate granules three times a day. The concentrations of OPN, urinary calcium and urinary oxalic acid of the patients in the two groups were observed before treatment and 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment. Results The concentration of urinary OPN of 2 weeks and 4 weeks of the treatment in the trial group was significantly increased compared with before treatment (P<0.05), and the difference was statistically significant compared with the control group (P<0.05). The concentration of urinary OPN in the control group had no significant change after treatment (P>0.05). The differences in the concentrations of urinary calcium and urinary oxalic acid of the two groups between before and after treatment were not significant (P>0.05). Conclusion Modified Jianpi Yishen Decoction can effectively restrain the formation of the calcium oxalate stones by increasing the level of urinary OPN, which demonstrates effective prevention in the calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis patients after PCNL or URL.
