Objective To investigate the clinical outlook of hepatic stem cells and its relations with liver cancer. Methods The literatures of recent years on the studies of hepatic stem cells were reviewed. Results Liver cancer may consist of cells of various differentiation grades and it may result from the perodifferentiated hepatic stem cells or abnormal differentiated cells. Conclusion The hypothesis of hepatic stem cells has been identified extensively. Further study maybe helpful for revealing the origin, carcinogenesis of hepatic cancer, and may also be useful for the understanding of the mechanism of metastasis.

Objective To study the application of transurethral bipolar plasma kinetic vaporization of the distal ureterectomy in radical nephroureterectomy for renal pelvic or ureteral carcinoma. Methods A total of 6 patients with renal pelvic or ureteral carcinoma without involvement in ipsilateral distal ureter,ureteral orfice,and the bladder were included.Radical nephroureterectomy was performed by using transurethral bipolar plasma kinetic vaporization combined with either flank incision nephrectomy (5 patients) or retroperitoneal approach laparoscopic nephrectomy(1 patient). Results The operation was completed smoothly in the 6 patients with comparatively little blood loss.The operation time was 120~210 min(mean,150 min).Obturator nerve reflex happened in no patients during the operation.Postoperative bladder irrigation found no bleeding in the bladder.The time of indwelling the catheter was 7~9 d(mean,8 d).Hypogastralgia and fever occurred in 1 patient on the 5th postoperative day.And the patient was confirmed as having mild urinary extravasation and was given catheter indwelling for 5 days. Transuretheral cystography found no leakage and a full recovery of voiding function was achieved.Postoperative pathological findings showed negative margins in all the patients.One patient died of myocardial infarction 3 months after operation,while follow-up in the remaining 5 patients for 7~21 months(mean,16 months) showed no tumor recurrence. Conclusions Application of transurethral bipolar plasma kinetic vaporization of the distal ureterectomy is micro-invasive,with little hemorrhage and few complications.It is an effective assistant option in radical nephroureterectomy.

Objective:To explore the mediating effect of belief in a just world and self-esteem on relationship between childhood abuse and subjective well-being in college students.Methods:Totally 929 college students[314 males and 615 females,aged 17 to 25 year,mean age (20 ± 3) year] from 4 universities of Harbin were assessed.The Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ-SF) was used to assess childhood abuse,the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and the Affect Balance Scale (ABS) was used to assess subjective well-being,the Believe in a Just World Scale (BJW) was used to assess belief in a just word,and the Self-Esteem Scale (SES) was used to assess self-esteem.The Bootstrap was used to test the mediating effect of belief in a just world and self-esteem on relationship between childhood abuse and subjective well-being.Results:General belief in a just world,personal belief in a just world,self-esteem played an independent mediating effect respectively between childhood abuse and life satisfaction.The confidence interval from Bootstrap output were 95％ (-0.026--0.001),95％ (-0.141--0.058) and 95％ (-0.235--0.122).Personal belief in a just world and general belief in a just world played chain mediating effect between childhood abuse and life satisfaction (-0.059--0.004).Self-esteem played an independent mediating effect between childhood abuse and emotional balance (-0.308--0.181).Personal belief in a just world and general belief in a just world played chain mediating effect between childhood abuse and emotional balance (-0.046--0.001).Conclusion:Childhood abuse and subjective well-being of individuals,belief in a just world and self-esteem are related.Belief in a just world and self-esteem play mediating effect between childhood abuse and subjective well-being.

Objective To observe the concentration change of 0.5% peracetic acid used as disinfectant in the indoor air. Methods KC-6D gas-sampler and ion chromatograph were employed and sampling interval time was 10-15 min, 7 samples were collected each time in both of the condition of closed and ventilated, the same experiment was repeated for 3 times. Results As the time went on, the concentration change of 0.5% peracetic acid in the indoor air increased from 6.24 mg/m3 to 20.72 mg/m3 in the condition of closed and decreased in the condition of ventilated from 6.92 mg/m3 to 3.36 mg/m3. Conclusion In a closed room of 20 m3, using 500 ml 0.5% peracetic acid, after 30 minutes of disinfection followed by 60 minutes of ventilation, the concentration of peracetic acid will be about 3.36 mg/m3 in the air of the room.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of ECP and glaucoma drainage device implant in the management of refractory glaucoma. Methods A retrospective study was explored in refractory glaucoma in 99 eyes,in which there were 50 eyes in the ECP group(group A)and 49 eyes in the group of glaucoma drainage device implant (group B). The changes of intraocular pressure (IOP),visual acuity and complication were observed. Results (1)IOP:There was statistically significant difference in IOP between the preoperative and last follow-up in each group(T-Test,t = 2.47,t = 2.51,P < 0.05),and statistically significant difference in IOP between the two groups in the rest of time points of postoperation except the 2 and 7 days after operation.(2)BCVA:T The visual acuity was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(χ2-Test,χ2 = 37.85,P >0.05).(3)Complication:The early complications of the group A included anterior chamber exudation ,short-term high IOP,hyphema. In the group B,the early complications included shallow anterior chamber,hyphema, drainage valve block and high IOP,MSCH,choroidal detachment,while the medium-term complication was glaucoma valve fiber wrapped high IOP and the long-term complications included glaucoma drainage tube rejection , exposure and displacement,and endophthalmitis,conjunctival hyperplasia. Conclusion ECP and glaucoma drainage implant can be effective in the treatment of refractory glaucoma. The ECP has less complications.

Objective To investigate the expression of nuclear factor(NF)-?B and intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM)-1 in rat′s retina injured by ischemia-reperfusion, and the effect of pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (PDTC) on the expression of NF-?B and ICAM-1. Methods The model of retinal ischemia-reperfusion was set up in 60 SD rats, which were divided into two groups with 30 rats in each: ischemia-reperfusion group and ischemia-reperfussion with injection of PDTC group. The left cephalic artery of each rat was ligated, and the right side was the control. Every group was subdivided into group 1 hour, 6, 12, 24, 48, and 72 hours after ischemia-reperfusion injury, and with 5 rats in each group. mRNA of NF-?B and ICAM-1 mRNA was measured by in situ hybridization (ISH) method in rat′s retina. Every rat underwent electroretinography (ERG) at the corresponding time before executed by neck breaking. Results In ischemia-reperfusion group, expression of NF-?B and ICAM-1 was detected at the 6th hour after ischemia-reperfusion, reached the highest level at the 24th hour, and weakened gradually later. In ischemia-reperfusion with injection of PDTC group, expression of NF-?B and ICAM-1 was detected at the 12th hour after ischemia-reperfusion, and reached the highest level at the 24th hour but lower than that in ischemia-reperfusion group. No expression of NF-?B and ICAM-1 was found in the control group. The relative recovery rate of ERG a and b wave amplitude in ischemia-reperfusion groups was lower than that in ischemia-reperfusion with injection of PDTC group at every stage(P
