Purpose:To investigate the mechanisms, susceptibility, prevention and treatment of the tumor patients'renal function, which was injured by the Body Gama Kinfe treatment. Methods:There were 7 patients, who had been observed for the effect of hydration,vaso-dilation,diuresis,basifying urine,anti-coagulation,detocifiation,even hemodialysis. Results:All patients' renal function gradually recovered. Conclusions:The tumour patients' renal function can be acutely injured by Body Gama Kinfe treatment. The patients who were elderly or inherent in renal failure would be prone to injary. In general we could improve the situation by better prevention,early-diagnosis,efficient treatment,so that we can not only alleviate the injuries, but also speed recovery, thus achieving better prognosis.

BACKGROUND: Pathogenesis and pathophysiological changes of chronic compressive cervical myelopathy havenotbeen completely clarified.OBJECTIVE: To establish an animal model of experimental chronic compressive cervical myelopathy for the exploration of the pathological and electrophysiological changes after chronic spinal compression.DESIGN: A randomized and controlled observatory study using experimental animals as subjects.SETTING: An Animal Experimental Center of a University and an Orthopaedic Laboratory of Affiliated Hospital of a Military Medical University MATERIALS: The study was conducted in the Animal Experimental Center of Nantong Medical University and the Orthopaedic Laboratory of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital from June 2002 to April 2003. Sixty 12-week healthy Chinese rabbits of either gender with a bodymass between 2.5 kg and 3.0 kg were randomly divided into control group( n = 6) and study group( n = 54).METHODS: Titanic metal screw was put into C5 vertebra through cervical anterior approach for progressive compression to establish chronic cervical myelopathy model.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Principal consequences: ①histological examination ;②electrophysiological examination. Secondary consequence:neural function evaluation.RESULTS: Totally 48 rabbits entered into result analysis, in which 6 rabbits from control group and 42 rabbits from study group. Modified Tarlov's motor function evaluation was 3 in 31 rabbits with compression signs, and 4 in 11rabbits without compression signs. The latency of N1 wave in cortical somatosensory evoked potentials (CSEP) was (9.11 ± 1.61 ), ( 11.36 ± 2.17)and (17.55 ± 3.73) ms respectively in animals of control group, animals of study group without compression signs and animals of study group with compression signs. The lantency of CSEP N1 wave was significantly longer in animals of study group with compression signs than that of the animals in the control group and study group without compression signs (P<0.05).CONCLUSION: This animal model can simulate clinical invasion process of chronic compressive cervical myelopathy. The severer the spinal compression is, the more often the compression signs appear, the longer the lantency of CSEP N1 wave is, and the more serious the spinal pathological damages are.

Abnormal metabolism in vivo of uric acid leads to many diseases.Recent discovery shows that glucose transporter-like protein-9,which belongs to glucose transporter family not only transports glucose, but also plays an important role in the process of uric acid transport, which is also affected by pH,glucose, estrogen, etc. The variation of glucose transporter-like protein-9 results in metabolic diseases. Therefore, the study of glucose transporterlike protein-9 in uric acid transport and related drug will provide new ideas to control the development of hyperuricemia and related cardiovascular disease.

Using new tape of teaching models in modern medical science education is a trend for medicine development.Investigating medical students’approbation degree and attitudes towards the teaching models, analyzing and resolving the problems about that will provide the valuable reference to reforming the medical education and fostering qualified practitioners.

Objective To study the clinical topography of lateral ligament of the rectum in the relation to surgical procedures in rectal carcinoma. Method Twenty-three pelvises(12 males,11 females)harvested from embalmed cadavers were studied by topographic dissection. Results The lateral rectal ligamem were identiffed bilaterally in all cadavers between the rectum and visceral fascia.Unilateral middle rectal arteries was found in 8 cadavers and bilateral arteries was found in 2 cadavers. The rectal branches from the pelvic plexus were uniformly constant structure within lateral ligament of the rectum. Conclusion The lateral rectal ligament is located between rectum and visceral fascia. The cleavage between visceral fascia and pelvic plexus is the appropriate plane for lateral rectal dissection of rectal cancers.

PBL (Problem-based learning) is a kind of teaching method, which is helpful for guiding students to solve practical and complex problems. The compiling of PBL teaching plans is the key to the implementation of PBL teaching. According to the teaching outline of internal medicine, we set the PBL teaching plan, formulated the teaching goal, collected the clinical real cases, finished the compiling of PBL cases of student version and teacher version, and preceded teaching practice accord-ing to the PBL cases. Improving and constructing the compiling framework of internal medicine PBL teaching plan laid the theoretical foundation for carrying out internal medicine PBL teaching.

Objective To summarize the timing and diagnostic value of endoscopic biopsy of intestinal graft after small bowel transplantation (SBTx).Methods Fifteen cases of SBTx were divided into 3 eras:era Ⅰ (1994-1995)-3 cases of SBTx treated with cyclosporine-based immunosuppression; era Ⅱ (2003-2006)-7 cases of SBTx treated with tacrolimus-based immunosuppression, and era Ⅲ (2007-present) than CVC group 5 cases of SBTx treated with Atemtuzumab induction therapy and maintenance tacrolimus monotherapy. The scheme of endoscopic surveillance was initially used in era Ⅲ, the first endoscopic biopsy was performed on postoperative day 3,2 times weekly during the first month, followed once weekly during months 2-3, once every other week during months 4-6 and once monthly thereafter. When clinical signs and symptoms of rejection were present, and during rejection episodes, the additional endoscopic biopsies were also performed. Results A total of 276 biopsies of these 15 SBTx recipients were obtained.Fifty-one biopsies (18.5%) were diagnosed as acute cellular rejection (ACR), which included IND to mild (n = 32,11.6 %), moderate (n = 9,3.3 %), and severe (n = 1 0, 3.6 %), two biopsies (0.7 %) were diagnosed as cytomegalovirus (CMV) enteritis and other 2 biopsies (0.7 %) bacteria enteritis. The ACR episodes verified by biopsy pathology and undergoing anti-rejection treatment were 20 (11 IND to mild,5 moderate, and 4 severe) ,and 1 episode of CMV enteritis and 1 episode of bacteria enteritis were observed. Conclusion Endoscopic surveillance and biopsy pathology is crucial diagnostic tool for ACR and sepsis.ACR surveillance after SBTx and early diagnosis of ACR could be made with scheming endoscopic biopsies.Endoscopic biopsy can be used to make differential diagnosis when clinical signs and symptoms were present, and to guide the treatment during anti-rejection episode.

Objective To observe the effect of atorvastatin on intraabdominal fat and microalbuminuria (MAU) in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS). Methods Forty-four MS patients were divided into the atorvastatin group and the control group. Blood pressure and blood glucose were controlled in both groups, in addition, atorvastatin was administered to the patients in the atorvastatin group. Blood pressure, blood glucose, body weight, abdominal wall fat, intraabdominal fat and MAU were compared before and after 12 weeks’ treatment. Results Obvious decrease of the intraabdominal fat and MAU was found in the atorvastatin group compared with those before the treatment Intraabdominal fat: non-ACE1/ARB (41.76?3.61) mm vs (33.23?2.47) mm, P
