International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(2):97-101
After studying the Classic on Medical Problems (Nanjing), the records of acupuncture therapy was studied in a systematic way. Academically, the Classic on Medical Problems (Nanjing)should be attached the same importance to the Internal Canon of Medicine. The acupuncture therapies in the Classic on Medical Problems (Nanjing) can be summarized as the followings: emphasizing on both hands together acupuncture;Stating reinforcing and reducing methods in acupuncture;developing the obey and opposite. The method of reigforcing and reducing in matching acupoint; stating the four seasons in acupuncture. The acupuncture therapies discussed in the Classic on Medical Problems (Nanjing) also has a profound impact on clinical medicine until today.

The general system of clinical engineering professional certification in Germany was introduced from the aspects of history, certification authority, requirement of certification, skills and knowledge points, methods of implementation and so on. Through comparative study, some suggestions were proposed to promote clinical engineering staff technology level assessment and certification, which might provide some references for the further improvement of clinical engineering certification system in China.

AIM: To explore the effects of glucocorticoids on fracture healing in a rat model of tibial fracture. METHODS: Sixty three months old female SD rats were divided into control and glucocorticoid-treated group. A glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis model was established by intramuscular injection of prednisolone acetate (5 mg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1) for 3 weeks), in which the tibial was osteotomized by a wire saw as fracture healing model and internal fixed with a Kirschner pin. The rats were scarified at different time points after operation. The callus formation was monitored over a period of 6 weeks by histological method, bone mineral density (BMD) detection and biomechanical examination. Western blotting was used to measure the expression of type II collagen. RESULTS: A glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis model was successfully established and conformed by BMD measurement. The formation of primary callus was observed in both groups 3 days after fracture. At 2 weeks after injury, the glucocorticoid-treated group had a lower BMD and less cartilage matrix as compared to control group. An increase in bone callus and chondrogenesis was observed at 4 to 6 weeks after fracture in glucocorticoid-treated group as compared to control group. The expression of type II collagen was delayed in glucocorticoid-treated group. Biomechanical measurement showed that the actual maximum load was increased by 35.8% in control group as compared to glucocorticoid-treated group at 6th week. CONCLUSION: These results indicate that chondrogenesis and transformation from cartilage callus to bony callus are delayed by glucocorticoids. The retardation of collagen Ⅱ production may be the reason for the inhibition of fracture healing.

OBJECTIVE To study the role of ciliary neurotrophic factor(CNTF) in the generation of facial nerve.METHODS Twenty adult New Zealand rabbits' bilateral super buccals of facial nerves were transected and connected with silicone tube.CNTF was injected into a random side of silicone tube and normal saline in the other. At four and eight weeks after the operation, both the CNTF group and the SAL group underwent electrophysiology test and histopathology as well as quantity analysis.RESULTS Four weeks later, both CNTF and SAL group failed in eliciting muscular excitement upon stimulation; T-test showed a signifi-cant difference(P

Objective To evaluate the value of application of the digital 3-D reconstruction pelvic on anatomical teaching. Methods The digital 3-D from 1 case non-pelvic-disease CT imaging were reconstructed, and name of structure were marked. A total of 90 students were randomly selected from two classes of clinical medical undergraduates of Grade 2011, and were randomly divided into experiment group (EG) and control group (CG), with 45 students in each group. Digital 3-D recon-struction pelvic and traditional teaching methods were applied in EG, while only traditional teaching methods were applied in CG, and the teaching effect was evaluated through questionnaires and the results of the examination. The questionnaires included how students grasped knowledge and whether or not they were interested in class and satisfied with the teaching methods etc., and the examination included identification specimen test(20 points) and theoretical knowledge examination on pelvic bone knowledge points(80 points). Comparison between two groups was performed using two sets of com-pletely randomized design t test. Results Clear three-dimensional reconstruction of the angular orien-tation of the various models of the pelvis was made. Experimental class' survey results were better than the control class’ and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). EG's scores of experimental test and theoretical knowledge examination were (18.69 ±1.32) points and (60.35 ± 5.12) points, respectively, while CG's scores were(17.23±1.52) points and (56.32±6.25) points. Difference be-tween the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclution The application of digital 3-D reconstruction pelvic on anatomical teaching can increase the performance record of students, and it can be applied to anatomical teaching as a new method.

Objective To investigate the role of renin angiotensin system (RAS) in pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).Methods Twenty-four Wistar rats were evenly divided into control group and model group. The rats of control group were fed with normal diet, and model group were with high-fat diet.Rats were killed at the eighth week and serum liver function, blood lipid, glucose and insulin were tested. The liver tissues were stained with HE and Picro acid-Sirius red for pathological observation. The liver tissue concentration of angiotensin Ⅱ was determined by ELISA method and the expression of TGF-β1 in liver tissue was examined by immunohistochemistry. Results After eight weeks high fat feeding, weight, liver index, liver function, blood lipids and serum insulin of model group were significantly higher than those of control group (weight:(463.50±22.72) g vs.(404.29±10.32) g; liver index:(3.75±0.21) g vs.(2.66±0.15) g; ALT:(79.8±8.6) U/L vs.(58.8±11.6) U/L; AST:(200.01±51.72) U/L vs.(150.30±37.27) U/L; total cholesterol:(3.67±0.48) mmol/L vs.(1.50±0.23) mmol/L; triglycerides:(2.06±0.40) mmol/L vs.(0.71±0.34) mmol/L; insulin:(17.37±2.89) pmol/L vs.(11.08±2.12) pmol/L),and all the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01).The histopathological results of model group indicated liver steatosis, inflammatory reaction in part of lobule and portal area and significant fibrosis in part of liver tissue. The liver tissue angiotonin Ⅱ concentration of model group [(32.80 ± 2.81)pg/ml] was higher than that of control group [(22.83 ± 1.75) pg/ml,t =9.559,P<0.01].The immunohistochemistry results showed that the expression of TGF-β1 of model group was obviously higher than that of control group (Z=-2.540,P =0.011 ).Spearman correlation analysis revealed that the increasing degree of angiotensin Ⅱ concentration was positively correlated with liver steatosis scores (r=0.644,P=0.002) and the expression of TGF-β1 (r=0.470,P=0.037).Conclusion The concentration of angiotensin Ⅱ and TGF-β1 increased in the livers of model rats, which indicated that RAS may participate in the pathogenesis and progress of NAFLD.
