The role of consolidating radiation therapy (RT) is very controversial in Hodgkin lymphoma (HL),especially in adolescents and young adults (AYA) HL.The key problem is how to achieve better therapeutic effect but bear less toxicities in chemotherapy and radiotherapy,which will be hopefully solved by clinical trials adopting interim positron emission tomography (iPET) scanning to guide therapy for HL.The new technologies including whole genome amplification (WGA),high-throughput gene sequencing (NGS) assay and genome-wide association study (GWAS) further illustrate abnormal signaling pathways in HL,such as NF-κB,JAK/STAT and PI3K pathway,which may provide new therapeutic targets for the disease.

Objective To study the ameliorative effect on postinfarction heart failure of Ad_5-HGF (adenovirus-mediated human hepatocyte growth factor) in swine models. Methods Totally 12 young swine were randomly divided into 2 groups which were: Ad_5-HGF group (treatment group) and null- Ad_5 group (control group). At four weeks and seven weeks after left anterior descending coronary artery ligation in swine hearts, coronary angiography and Gate cardiac perfusion imaging were performed to evaluate the degree of collateral artery growth (Rentorp), cardiac perfusion, and heart function. The expression of HGF was examined by ELISA. Immunohistochemistry was performed to illustrate the angiogenesis of SMA~+ vessels. Results (1) In comparison with the null- Ad_5 group, high expression of human HGF was observed in the myocardium of the Ad_5-HGF group. (2) The improvement in LVEF was more obvious in the Ad_5-HGF group than the control group in 7 weeks. Cardiac perfusion was significantly improved in the Ad_5-HGF group. (3) In the Ad_5-HGF group, growth of collateral blood vessels and also the number of SMA~+ vessels per mm~2 were significantly greater. Conclusion (1) High expression of human HGF is observed in the myocardium through intracoronary transfection. (2) HGF can improve collateral artery formation and ameliorate heart function. (3) HGF can increase the number of vessels that are coated with SMC.

50%.Myocardial infarction(MI) models were created by ligating the distal left anterior descending artery in swines(n=18).Either BM-MSCs cells(5?106/mL)(n=6) or Ad5-HGF(4?109 pfu)(n=6) were transfused into infracted area via noninfarction-related artery at four weeks after MI.IMDM fluid was injected into the noninfarction-related artery in the control(n=6).Gate cardiac perfusion imaging was performed at four and seven weeks after LAD ligation respectively to evaluate the heart function and cardiac perfusion.Morphologic and histologic characteristics of the hearts were also studied.Results(1) New vessels firnation was found around the infarction area in all the three groups.By means of immno-histological staining,the density of capillaries and vessels with function in the BM-MSCs group and the Ad5-HGF group were 102.4?8.6/mm2 and 105.3?7.7/mm2,as well as 52.1?4.1/mm2 and 66.0?3.3/mm2 respectively.Both vessel density were higher than those of the control(55.5?4.7/mm2 and 16.4?3.5/mm2,P

Hodgkin's lymphoma(HL)is a highly curable malignancy for most patients during the recent decades.Frontline treatment is generally ABVD alone or in combination with other chemotherapy regimens or radiation. To achieve a higher control of disease, ABVD chemotherapy has been challenged by more intensive treatments, such as Stanford V and BEACOPP regimen. In the 53rd ASH annual meeting,ABVD is still widely accepted as standard regimen for HL, even in elderly people or patients with HIV infection. Relapsed or refractory HL is a challenging problem for clinician, and high dose chemotherapy followed by autologous stem cell transplantation(HDC/ASCT)is the preferred treatment for chemoresistant patients.Many novel treatment strategies were explored for these patients.Positron emission tomography (PET) scanning provides important prognostic information in patients with HL receiving chemotherapy or pre/posttransplant,but the utility of long term surveillance radiological studies is not recommended in the meeting.

Early stage Hodgkin' s lymphoma (HL) is highly curable with abbreviated chemotherapy plus involved-filed radiotherapy or chemotherapy alone,but the role of radiation remains the subject of debate and disagreement.The management of recurrent or refractory HL remains challenging with limited effective treatments except high dose therapy with autologous stem cell transplantation.Emerging new safe and effective drugs such as brentuximab vedotin might promisingly improve the outcome of these patients in the future.The interim positron emission tomography (PET-i) scan has important prognostic value in patients with early and advanced stage HL,especially PET scan after 2 cycles.However,the PET-i guided treatment decisions are not currently recommended outside clinical trials.

Objective To investigate the relationship between leukocyte counts and coronary artery stenosis as well as try to find the possible cause of coronary heart disease. Methods All the 220 patients underwent coronary angiography and leukocyte counts. The Gensini scoring system was used to determine the results of the coronary angiography. All patients were allocated into three groups according to the Gensini score. 74 cases with 0-3.00 score were classified into group CHD1 while 73 cases with 3.01-32.67 score were classified into group CHD2 and 73 cases with 32.68-180.00 score into group CHD3. The distribution of leukocyte counts in the three groups underwent analysis of variance and the relationship between leukocyte counts and the Gensini score was further investigated by means of multiple linear regression analysis. [WT5”HZ]Results The analysis of one way variance showed that neutrophil, monocyte and leukocyte counts were associated with the Gensini score. Multiple linear regression analysis adjusted for many risk factors for coronary heart disease showed that neutrophil counts had independent association with the Gensini score. Conclusion Neutrophil counts were independently associated with coronary artery stenosis.

Objective To explore the characteristic differences of the fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (fALFF) feature of the spoutaneous neural activity between young male unipolar depression and bipolar depression patients,and determine the biological markers to distinguish the two disorders.Methods Twelve male unipolar depression,12 bipolar depression patients and 11 age and educated-matched healthy males underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging scanning at 3.0 Tesla.The whole brain' s fALFF were calculated and analyzed.Results The differences of the fALFF of the three groups had significant differences (P＜0.01,Alphasim) in the right orbital medial frontal gyrus (6,33,-9;K =29),the left medial frontal gyrus (-6,60,3;K =44) and the left paracentral lobule (-3,-27,5 1;K =20).The unipolar depression subjects had significantly higher fALFF compared with heahhy controls in the left anterior cingulate gyrus.The bipolar depression subjects had significantly higher fALFF compared with healthy controls in the bilateral medial frontal gyrus and the left middle cingulate gyrus.And the unipolar depression subjects had significantly lower fALFF compared with bipolar depression ones in the right orbital medial frontal gyrus,the right anterior cingulate gyrus and the bilateral medial frontal ~rus(all P＜0.05).Conclusions Abnormalities exist in the brain regions in male with unipolar or bipolar depression patients in the resting state,and the abnormal regions are different.

Objective To discuss the effect of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in modulating immune responses in a rat renal transplantation model.Methods An in vivo trial of cytology was performed in one centre from March to December in 2008.Wistar rat donors and Lewis rat recipients in a renal transplantation model were randomly divided into 4 groups:MSCs (low dose,1 × 106 )therapy,MSCs (high dose,1 × 107) therapy,CsA monotherapy,and no therapy.Biochemistry methods were used to detect the levels of creatinine in serum.The survival time,renal grafting function and pathological changes of transplanted renal tissues were observed.Results Animal survival was significantly prolonged by MSCs (high dose) therapy and CsA monotherapy as compared with the no therapy group (both P＜0.01).Animal survival in the MSCs (low dose) therapy group was prolonged as compared with no therapy group (P＜0.01),but shortened as compared with MSCs (high dose) therapy group (P＜0.05) and CsA monotherapy group (P＜0.05).The MSCs (high dose) therapy and CsA therapy groups showed no special changes in histology,hut the control group showed acute rejection.Conclusion MSCs down-regulated immune responses,reduced production of some inflammatory mediators,preserved graft function in the initial stage after transplantation,and prolonged animal survival,and these effects were the same as those of CsA therapy with 1 × 107/day.

Objective:To analyze normal pure tone hearing thresholds patients with aural fullness using evoked otoacoustic emission in order to detect the early cochlear impairment. Method: Forty-three normal pure tone hearing thresholds patients(72 ears,aural fullness group)with aural fullness were served as subjects and 30 normal volunteers(60 ears,control group)as controls. Transiently evoked otoacoustic emission (TEOAE) and distortion product evoked otoacoustic emission (DPOAE) were tested with Capella otoacoustic emission machine.The DPOAE detection rate and amplitudes at all frequencies,the passing rate and wave signal noise ratio (SNR), wave reproducibility,band SNR and band reproducibility of TEOAE were recorded and analyzed.Result:①Only on the frequency points of 0. 50 kHz and 0. 75 kHz,the detection rate of DPOAE in aural fullness group was lower than that in control group(P＜0. 05). There was no significant difference in the rate among other frequency points(P＞0. 05). ②The passing rate of TEOAE was 100% in control group and 90.28% in aural fullness group.There were statistical differences between two groups(X~2=6. 16, P＜0. 05).③Compared with the control group,the DPOAE amplitudes at all frequencies,the wave signal noise ratio(SNR), wave reproducibility,band SNR and band reproducibility of TEOAE in patients with aural fullness were significantly decreased.There were statistical differences(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01). Conclusion:Some patients of normal hearing thresholds with aural fullness have had early harm of outer hair cell in cochlear.TEOAE and DPOAE may be used to detect these lesions early before the hearing impairment occurred.

Objective To explore the independent risk factors of lymph-node metastasis (LNM) in patients with early gastric cancer (EGC),and establish a risk-prediction model based on LNM.Method 962 early gastric cancer patients undergoing curative radical gastrectomy in the First Hospital of Anhui Medical University from July 2011 to April 2016 were enrolled in this study.The relationships between different clinicopathologic characteristics and LNM were analyzed by Chi-square test or Fisher exact probability,and the independent risk factors were determined using Logistic regression analysis.Moreover,LNM risk was stratified and a risk-predicting model was established on the basis of the identified independent risk factors for LNM.Further,the risk-predicting model was validated using 962 EGC cases.The discriminatory accuracy of risk-predicting model was measured by area under ROC curve (ROC-AUC).Results Mucosal differentiated cancer ≤2 cm,irrespective of the existence of an ulcer,had low LNM rates (LNMR ＜ 3.0％).Univariate and multivariate analysis revealed that female EGC patients with submucosal,undifferentiated,vessel invasion and tumor size ＞ 2 cm were independent risk factors of LNM for EGC patients,and relative risks were 1.893,3.173,1.956,1.922 and 9.027 respectively (P ＜ 0.05).ROCAUC of risk-predicting model was 0.768 (P ＜ 0.01),which showed high diagnostic accuracy and sensitivity.Conclusion Female EGC patients with submucosal undifferentiated carcinomas measuring ＞ 2 cm with vessel invasion have higher risk of LNM.
