Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of malaria in Jiangxi Province from 2010 to 2014 and to provide a reference for malaria control in the whole province.Methods Data on malaria cases in Jiangxi Province from 2010 to 2014 were collected through the Disease Reporting Information System of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Information System for Parasitic Diseases Control and Prevention.Descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the area distribution,time distribution and population distribution of the malaria cases.Results A total of 218 malaria cases were reported from 2010 to 2014 in the province,with an annual mean incidence of 0.097 3/100 000.One dead case was reported with a fatality rate of 0.46％(1/218).Of all 11 prefectures and 100 counties (cities,districts) in Jiangxi,65 counties (cities,districts)reported malaria cases.The top three counties (cities,districts) of malaria cases were Qingshanhu (22),Nanchang (15)and Jinxian (13),totally accounting for 22.94％ (50/218).The cases were reported through the whole year,without obvious seasonal peak.The ratio of male to female was 30.14:1.00.The age of the cases mainly distributed around the ages of 20-＜ 60 years,accounting for 94.49％ (206/218).The peak appeared in 40-＜ 50 years group,accounting for 32.11％ (70/218).The three major occupations of the cases were farmer,worker and migrant worker (131,60.09％).The cases were mainly imported from Africa and Southeast Asia,whose proportion of imported cases was 76.19％ (160/210) and 19.52％ (41/210),respectively.Conclusions The incidence of malaria is stable with a slight increase in Jiangxi Province from 2010 to 2014.Control of imported malaria cases will be the main task in the future.

Objective This study is to understand the interpersonal conflict management styles of head nurses and its related factors. Methods A cross- sectional survey was conducted in 440 head nurses in Shanghai Hospital, using"personal information table"and the "Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory- Ⅱ"as the tools for data collection. Results When dealing with conflicts, "integrating"is the most commonly used approach of head nurses, while "dominating"the least used one. Age, education, work experience and other factors were statistically significant with the conflict management styles head nurses used. Conclusions The most commonly used conflict management style of head nurses tends to a winwin way. Age, education, work experience and other factors can affect the ways of managing conflict.

3T3-L1 adipocytes were cultured and differentiated into mature adipocytes in vitro. The adipocytes were intervened by ACAT inhibitor( 2 μg/ml) and ox-LDL with various concentrations (0,25,50,75,and 100 μg/ml)for 48 h,ACAT inhibitor( 2 μg/ml) and ox-LDL( 50 μg/ml) at the 0,6,18,36,and 48 h,or ACAT inhibitor( 2 μg/ml),ox-LDL( 50 μg/ml),and TUDCA with various concentrations(0,100,200,and 400 μ mol/L)for 48 h,respectively.The levels of visfatin in supernatant were examined by ELISA and the expressions of protein GRP78 and CHOP in adipocytes were detected by Western blot.After the adipocytes were treated with ACAT inhibitor and ox-LDL at different concentrations for 48 h,the cholesterol concentration and the expressions of GRP78 and CHOP protein in adipocytes and the visfatin levels in the supernatant fluid were increased with the increase of the ox-LDL concentration.The differences had statistical significance in the experimental groups compared with blank control group( all P＜0.05 ).After the intervention with ACAT inhibitor and ox-LDL for different durations,the expressions of GRP78 and CHOP protein in adipocytes and the visfatin levels in the supernatant fluid were up-regulated in a timedependent manner.The differences between experimental groups and blank control had statistical significance( all P＜0.05 ).After the intervention with ACAT inhibitor,ox-LDL,and different concentrations of TUDCA for 48 hours,the expressions of GRP78 and CHOP protein in adipocytes and visfatin levels in the supernatant fluid were down-regulated in a dose-dependent manner and as compared with blank control group the difference were statistically significant( all P＜ 0.05 ).The increase of cholesterol load in adipocyte may promote the visfatin secretion,denoting that the mechanism might be due to the enhancement of endoplasmic reticulum stress in aidpocytes.

Objective: To study the relationship between the individual psychological characteristic of medical students and the way parents bring up them. Methods: Data on SCL-90, 16PF,EMBU of 1550 medical students were analysed. Results: It is showed that girl students have experienced more of the parents' emotion, understanding and favouritism, while the boy students have experienced more of their parents' refusal, deny, punishment, severity and excessive interference. There are more only-one-children who experience parents' emotion, understanding, interference and excessive protection. Conclusions: Parents' bad breeding attitude and behavior influence children's psychological health and forming of the individual characteristic directly or indirectly

Objective To further elucidate the clinical manifestations and pathological characteristics of lipoprotein glomerulopathy (LPG) . Methods Data of 7 LPG patients were reviewed retrospectively. Clinical manifestations were recorded on the day of renal biopsy. Biochemical profiles of lipid and lipoproteins were examined. Plasma concentration of apoE was determined with radial immunodiffusion assay. Biopsy specimens were processed for light microscopy, immunohistochemistry staining and electron microscopy. Glomerular deposition of apoA, apoB and apoE were detected using monoclonal antibodies on cryostatic sections in all patients. Results All the seven patients presented with edema, microscopic hematuria, heavy proteinuria, anemia and enlarged kidney size. Most of them, the levels of serum creatinine were normal. Biochemical profile revealed that the levels of triglyceride, apoB and apoE were elevated markedly. In all cases, increments of glomerular size and lipoprotein thrombi that occupied capillary lumica in the glomeruli were observed. Immunohistochemistry staining showed that the thrombi were strongly positive for apoA, apoB and apoE. Granules and various size of vacuoles in the thrombi were observed under electronic microscopy. Conclusion Compared with the previous reports of LPG from other countries, some unique clinical and pathological features are found in this group of Chinese LPG patients.

Objective To investigate the clinical features,the radiological characteristics,and the pathological changes of cerebral sparganosis.Methods We retrospectively collectted and summarized the clinical data of 42 patients with cerebral sparganosis from the Iinstitute of Anti-parasitic Diseases of Jiangxi Province and the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University during January 2000 to January 2014.The follow-up period of the 42 patients ranged from 4 to 96 months.Results Forty-two cases (30 males and 12 females) with cerebral sparganosis were enrolled in the study.Among the 42 patients,34 cases suffered from seizures,16 cases experienced headaches,and 14 cases had limb weakness.The brain CT scan showed the small and punctuate calcifications scattering around the lesions in 18 cases.The features of enhanced MRI included aggregating ring-like enhancement in 38 cases,tunnel lesions in 14 cases,and lesion migration in 13 cases.Twenty-four of the 42 patients were performed surgery.The brain tissues revealed multiple inflammatory tunnels,in which live or degenerated larvae were identified in 20 cases,but only eosinophilia tunnels were observed in the other 4 cases.The serum and cerebro-spiral fluid specimens from 18 patients without surgery were positive to spirometra mansoni antigen.Their cerebral lesions disappeared and got a favorable prognosis after administration of praziquantel in long term follow-ups.Conclusions There is a high incidence of cerebral sparganosis in Poyang lake basin.The clinical features of cerebral sparganosis mainly include seizure,headache and hemiparesis.The enhanced lesions show knot or tunnel signs on multi-planar MRI which are associated with the multiple inflammatory tunnels of larvae migration.A longterm administration of high dose opraziquantel can also get a good treatment prognosis without the classical surgical therapy for cerebral sparganosis.

Objective To analyze the relationship between the genetic polymorphisms of uridinediphosphate glucuronosyltransferase 1A9 (UGT1A9) and mycophenolic acid (MPA)pharmacokinetics in Chinese kidney recipients.Methods Gene mutations (C-440T/T-331C,C-2152T,T-275A,T98C) were detected in 196 recipients by PCR-LDR.On the 28th day after transplantation,the plasma samples which were obtained at the time points of predose,0.5 h and 2 h after administration were measured by an immunoassay method (Emit Mycophenolic Acid Assay,Dade Behring).MPA-AUC0-12 was calculated based on these three data.Correlation between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and MPA pharmacokinetics was analyzed.Results C-2152T,T-275A and T98C genotypes of UGT1A9 were not found in 196 recipients.The frequency of C-440T/T-331C gene mutation was 14.29% (28/196).The mean value of MPA-AUC0-12 was 40.6±11.8 wild genotype,respectively (P＞0.05).Conclusion C-2152T,T-275A and T98C genotypes of UGT1A9 are scarce in Chinese kidney recipients.In this study,there is no distinct relationship between -440/-331 SNPs and MPA pharmacokinetics in Chinese allograft recipients.

AIM:To investigate whether Notch1 changes stemness and chemotherapeutic sensitivity in human glioma U251 cells.METHODS: The lentiviral vectors, which expressed Notch1-shRNA or Notch1 intracellular domain ( NICD) , were transfected into U251 cells .Western blot and immunofluorescence staining were applied to monitor the va-lidity of the cells, down-regulation of Notch1 expression or over-expression of NICD.The proportion of CD133 +cells was analyzed by flow cytometry.The expression of nestin and GFAP was identified by immunofluorescence staining.The forma-tion rate of tumor cell spheres and the implanted tumor growth in SCID mice were observed.MTT assay was performed to e-valuate the chemotherapeutic sensitivity to VM-26 and BCNU of the cells with different treatments.RESULTS:Stemness was significantly enhanced in the cells over-expressing NICD.For example, the proportion of CD133 +cells was increased, the expression of nestin was up-regulated, the expression of GFAP was down-regulated, and the formation rate of tumor cell spheres and implanted tumor growth were increased.The chemotherapeutic sensitivity to VM-26 and BCNU of the cells was decreased.In the cells with Notch1 gene down-regulation by RNAi, the stemness was inhibited and chemotherapeutic sensi-tivity was increased.CONCLUSION:Notch1, which leads to the change of stemness and chemotherapeutic sensitivity in human glioma U251 cells, is likely to be a potential molecular target for treatment of glioma.

Objective To assess the risk of secondary transmission induced by imported malaria in Jiangxi Province，so as to provide the evidence for adjustment of malaria surveillance strategies in the key groups and areas. Methods The Delphi method was used to establish the secondary transmission risk indicator system and the weight of each index was obtained. The data of malaria prevalence，vector distribution and intervention capacity were collected in 100 counties of Jiangxi Province from 2012 to 2015. The transmission potential index（TPI），intervention capacity index（ICI），and malaria risk index（MRI）were calculated for each county. The risk map was drawn with GIS software. Results The top ten counties with highly potential risk indicators were Linchuan District（2.131），Xinzhou District（1.609），Jiujiang County（1.404），Zhanggong District（1.365）， Fengcheng City（1.225），Qingshanhu District（1.184），Yudu County（1.171），Dingnan County（1.018），Xunyang District（1.015）and Zhushan District（1.006）. The high risk areas were mainly distributed in the regions of the capitals of their prefectures and in counties with more floating population. Conclusions There are the risk of the secondary transmission induced by imported malaria in Jiangxi Province. The high risk of the secondary transmission is shown in the areas with more floating population and weaker intervention capacity.
