Dens invaginatus is a relatively rare tooth malformations,this paper reports a case of lateral incisor with typeⅢdens invaginatus with periradicular pathosis and without pulp involvement.The tooth was treated by root canal therapy and followed up for one year,the prog-nosis was good.

Objective To investigate the regularity of variation in number of emergency patients visiting doctors within each 24 h during holidays and festival days,so as to provide a scientific basis for hospital administration and the rational allocation of human resources.Methods Based on the hospital's statistical data of emergency patients visiting doctors during winters from December 2010 to February 2014,a retrospective analysis was carried out for the number and the visiting time of emergency patients on holidays (weekends,the minor long holiday of 3 days for New Year and the major long holiday of 7 days for spring festival) and on general working days (Monday to Friday),respectively.The variation in number of patients and peak time of visiting doctors were analyzed by using circular distribution method,and compared the differences in the number of emergency patients visiting doctors and peak time period between holidays and working days.Results Most of emergency patient visitors were 50-79 years old males; the number of emergency patients on holidays was significantly higher than that on general working days,especially during the seven-day spring festival (P ＜ 0.01),while the number on New Year' s day was similar to that on weekends; peak time for emergency patients' visiting doctors was from 13:05 to 0:28 during general working days.On the contrary,the peak time occurred earlier at 10:05 until 21:05 during the holidays if the hospital offers half-day outpatient service,and in the absence of outpatient service,the peak time emerged further earlier at 9:16 until 21:26 during holidays.Conclusions The ages,number and the peak time of emergency patients visiting doctors on holidays are different from those on the general working days,so medical staff on duty should be arranged reasonably to follow this regularity.

It has high efficiency, and is convenient for data query, updating and unifying management, information monitoring, real-time dynamic effect of maintenance equipment for positioning and bio safety management.Conclusion:The application of program links TB laboratory equipment management system networking and related technology based on IOT can achieve recognition, positioning and tracking of laboratory equipment, and also can effectively improve the overall level of laboratory equipment management intelligence and laboratory management efficiency.

Objective: To investigate the effects of HPV16E6-ribozyme on telomerase activity in cervical carcinoma cell line CaSKi and the related mechanisms. Methods: Anti-HPV16E6-ribozyme and blank eucaryotic plasmids were transfected into CaSKi cells via lipofectin, and the resultant cells were named as CaSKi-R and CaSKi-P, respectively. The expression of ribozyme in transfected cells was observed by RNA dot blotting. The expression of E6 mRNA and protein in the 3 kinds of cells were detected by Northern blotting and Western blotting, respectively. Telomerase activity was determined by TRAP-Elisa method; the expression of P53, c-myc, hTERT and hRT mRNA were examined by RT-PCR.Results: RNA dot blotting showed that anti-HPV16E6-ribozyme was stably expressed in transfected CaSKi-R cells. Western blotting showed that the expression of E6 mRNA and protein in CaSKi-R cells was obviously lower than that in CaSKi and CaSKi-P cells. The telomerase activities in CaSKi,CaSKi-P and CaSKi-R cells were (0.89?0.14), (0.90?0.11) and(0.36?0.06),respectively. Objective:To evaluate the microtensile bond strength of total-etch or self-etch adhesives to caries-affected dentine versus normal dentine. Methods:Twenty-four extracted human molars with mesial coronal carious lesions extending into mid-dentin were selected. The softened carious dentine was removed with a slow-speed, carbon-steel bur and Caries Marker was used as guides. Prepared cavity in sound dentine in the distal coronal part of the identical teeth was used as the control. Surfaces were bonded with either Prime&Bond NT, Adper Single Bond 2, Adper Prompt or XenoⅢ,according to manufactures' recommendations. A crown was built up using resin composite(Filtek P60).After storage in water (37 ℃,24 h),teeth were vertically serially sectioned into 1.0 mm thick slabs and trimmed to yield 1 mm2 test area that contained either caries-affected or normal dentine. Then the specimen were tested in tension in an Instron machine at 0.8 mm/min.The bonding interface between the dentine and adhesives was qualitatively evaluated under the observation of scanning electron microscope(SEM). Objective: To investigate the characteristics of the cultured cervical cancer cell line transfected with anti HPV16E6 ribozyme, and to investigate the possibility and practicality of ribozyme in treatment of cervical cancer. Methods: The anti HPV16E6 ribozyme and empty eucaryotic expressing plasmids were transfected by lipofectin transfection into CaSKi cell, which named as CaSKi R, CaSKi P respectively. The morphology and the soft agar forming ability were studied. The expression of E6, PCNA and C erbB 2 genes was studied through Flow Cytometry. The tumorgenicity of each cell was detected by injecting cells into the nude mice skin. Three groups of nude mice were injected by CaSKi, CaSKi R and CaSKi P cell separately. Another group of mice was injected by CaSKi cell on right side and CaSKi R cell on left side. Results: There is no distinct difference of the morphology and growth rate between CaSKi and CaSKi P, but the growth rate of CaSKi R decreased. The soft agar forming rate of CaSKi P was similar with that of CaSKi cells, while that of CaSKi R was found decreased. The result of flow cytometric analysis showed that anti HPV16E6 ribozyme could reduce the expression of E6, PCNA and C erbB 2 genes on CaSKi R cells, while this phenomenon was not found on the CaSKi P cells. The tumorgenicity of CaSKi R in nude mice was decreased compared with CaSKi and CaSKi P cells. Conclusion: Anti HPVE6 rivozyme could partly reverse the malignant phenotypes of CaSKi cells. The reason may be the decrease of E6 gene expression, and the succeeding decrease of the PCNA and C erbB 2 genes′ expression.

Objective To investigate the occurrence of thyroid disorders in septic patients and the relationship between thyroid hormone level and the change of left ventricular function.Methods A total of 63 septic patients,43 male and 20 female,aged 50 to 88 years with mean 63.3 ± 18.5,were included in the present study.The thyroid hormone levels and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels were detected in all patients on the next day of admission.Clinical information of each patient was recorded including demographics and co-existed disease,APACHE Ⅱ score at admission and the incidence of shock and subsequent multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS).At 24 hours,the second week and the third week after admission,a serial trans-thoracic echocardiography were performed in all patients to observe changes of left ventricular end diastolic dimension,left ventricular eject fraction and E/A (the ratio between maximal velocity of blood flow at mitral valve orifice in the early diastolic phase and maximal velocity of blood flow of atrium in systolic phase).Another 38 patients with ordinary infections,21 male and 17 female,with mean age 58.6 ± 16.8 (48-84 years) were selected as controls for comparison.The difference in thyroid function between sepsis group and control group was analyzed.The levels of serum thyroid hormone associated with the incidence of shock and MODS were studied among different types of the left ventricular structure and function in sepsis group.Results The levels of serum free tri-iodothyronine (FT3) and free tetra-iodothyronine (FT4) in sepsis group were significantly lower than those in control group (P ＜ 0.05),but there was no difference in level of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) between these two groups.The patients with sepsis had three types of the left ventricular dysfunction:diastolic dysfunction without the enlargement of left ventricular (type Ⅰ) in 31 patients,the enlargement of left ventricular with diastolic dysfunction (type Ⅱ) in 18 patients and the enlargement of left ventricular with both systolic and diastolic dysfunction (type Ⅲ) in 14 patients.Compared with the other two types,the type Ⅲ patients had significantly lower levels of FT3 and FT4 and higher incidences of shock and MODS (P ＜ 0.05).No significant difference in TSH level was found among the three types.There were no significantly differences in FT3 and FT4 between type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ,but the higher incidences of shock and MODS were found in type Ⅰ (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Most septic patients have thyroid function disorder.Serum thyroid hormone levels in early stage of sepsis have certain role in predicting changes in left ventricular structure and function in the late stage of disease.

Objective To investigate the value of serum proteomic profiling in cervical cancer detected pre-surgery and post-surgery. Methods Magnetic bead and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight-mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS) were used to detect the serum samples from 54 cases with cervical cancer before and after surgery and 53 serum samples from healthy women. The results of spectra were analyzed by Biomarker Wizard software. Results Significant variation of proteomic profiling between pre-surgery and post-surgery were analyzed. There were 22 proteins with different mass/charge (M/Z) values significantly different (P<0.01) at the M/Z value range from 1500 to 50 000, among of which relative content of proteins with M/Z 3981, 4290, and 28 066 in pre-surgery cervical cancer patients were higher than those in health women [(1.51±1.78)% vs (0.83±0.38)%, (2.70±2.19)% vs (1.72±0.91)%, (1.99±1.70)% vs (0.92±0.95)%; P<0.01], while in the post-surgery patients, relative content of these three proteins significantly decreased to (0.59±0.45)%, (1.01±0.64)%, (0.54±0.37)%, respectively. But the relative content of another three proteins with M/Z 11 487, 11 529, and 11 678 were significantly increased in post-surgery patients [(0.38±1.41)% vs (2.74±3.67)%, (0.16±0.46)% vs (2.00±1.76)%, (1.02±1.67)% vs (7.71±9.46)%; P<0.01]. Conclusion Serum proteomic profiling could screen out the proteins which had significant variation between pre-surgery and post-surgery serum, of which with M/Z 3981, 4290, and 28 066 may be related with tumor burden, while with M/Z 11 487, 11 529, and 11 678 may be response to surgical stress.

Objective To investigate the correlation between platelet-related parameters and the severity as well as prognosis of septic patients.Methods A total of 91 patients with sepsis were included in this study, and the platelet-related parameters were detected in all patients within 24 hours and 72 hours after admission to hospital, respectively.Clinical information of each patient was recorded including age, gender and underlying diseases, APACHE Ⅱ score at admission and the incidence of the consequent multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) and 28-day mortality.The differences in platelet-related parameters between non-severe sepsis group and severe sepsis group were compared, the correlation between plateletrelated parameters and the prognosis was studied by using rank method and the reliability of platelet-related parameters to predict the prognosis was estimated by using receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC).Results The differences in results of platelet-related parameters between non-severe sepsis group and severe sepsis group within 24 hours and 72 hours after admission were as follows : platelet count : (166.34 ± 58.27) ×109L-1vs.(198.57±65.82) ×109L-1, P=0.02and (138.85 ± 53.31) ×109L-1vs.(173.79 ± 67.48) × 109 L-1, P =0.00;the platelet distribution width (PDW) : (13.84 ± 2.46) ％ vs.(12.73±1.72)％, P=0.01 and (16.07 ±2.87)％ vs.(13.86 ±2.31)％, P=0.00;mean platelet volume (MPV) : (10.17 ±1.82) fl (femto-liter) vs.(9.32 ±1.34) fl, P=0.01 and (11.49 ± 1.53)fl vs.(10.37 ± 1.24) fl, P =0.00, respectively.The value of the PDW showed positive correlation with the prognosis (dead) (r=0.51, P＜0.05), and the MPV did likewise (r=0.53, P＜0.05, while the platelet count negatively correlated (r =-0.61, P ＜ 0.05), These characteristics were more obvious at 72 hours after admission (rPDW =0.68, rPv =0.67, rPLT =-0.71, P ＜0.01).The areas under the ROC curve 72 hours after admission as follows: PLT count0.95, PDW0.93 and MPV0.93, respectively, which were higher than those of PLT count (0.88), PDW (0.82) and MPV (0.83) within 24 hours after admission.The sensitivity and specificity of platelet count 72 hours after admission predicting the prognosis of death were 91.24％ and 80.35％, respectively.Conclusions The changes of platelet-related parameters in septic patients are related to the severity of the disease, and platelet count at 72 hours after admission may play an important role in prognosis of disease.
