Determination of SCE frequency, chromosomal aberration and micronucleus rate of cultured peripheral lymphocytes of 38 miners who worked in the well, and 40 non-miners who worked outside the well in Dachang Area and 27 other workers who didn't work and live there (as control group) was carried out. The result showed that the miners had higher SCE incidence and chromosomal aberration rate. The nonmining workers and the control group had much lower rates. There was a significant difference between the miners and non-miners or control group, but no statistically differences were found between the non-miners and the control group. Micronucleus rate among the miners, the non-miners and the control group were all the same level statistically. We proposed that some toxic substances in the Dachang Tin Mine might be respousible for the genetic damages in the miners. We suggested that a combined assay of SCE with chromosomal aberration or micronucleus might be a good screening method for the high risk population such as the miners in Dachang Tin Mine.

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational drug use in the clinic. METHODS:By retrospective survey meth-od,the drug utilization of IVF outpatient department in our hospital during Jun. 2012-May 2014 were analyzed statistically in re-spects of consumption structure,consumption sum and DDDs,etc. RESULTS:Oral medicine was major type of medicines in IVF outpatient department,followed by injection;total consumption sum was on the rise,and the sum of injection accounted for large proportion. Ovulation stimulants and sex hormone class medicine,vitamin and other nutritional drugs were main drugs used in IVF outpatient department. The consumption sum and DDDs showed obvious asynchronism. CONCLUSIONS:The drug use is reason-able on the whole. But expensive ovulation stimulants increase the economic burden of patients to some extent.

OBJECTIVE:To analyze the factors in the causation of cefradine-induced hematuria.METHODS:The material in CHINESE BIBLIOGRAPHIC DATA BASE OF BIOLOGY & MEDICINE(from 1980 to February 2001)and PHARMACEUTICAL ABSTRACTS(1990～2000)was reviewed and the data were analysed on patients'age and sex,route of drug administration,beginning of hematuria,prognosis and time of recovery.RESULTS:18 reports on cefradine-induced hematuria(108 cases) were found,which indicated that hematuria was mainly associated with renal hypoplasia in childhood and intravenous administration of cefradine.CONCLUSION:Intravenous administration of cefradine in children should be very careful.

NK cells can be divided into two subsets based on CD27 expression:CD27hiNK cells and CD27loNK cells.NK cells can be further divided into four subsets based on CD27 and CD11b: CD11bloCD27lo,CD11bloCD27hi,CD11bhiCD27hi and CD11bhiCD27lo.These subsets in different development stages have their own phenotypes and functions.In mice,NK cell developing pathway is through CD11bloCD27lo→CD11bloCD27hi→CD11bhiCD27hi→CD11bhiCD27lo.CD27 can also be used to divide human NK cells into two subsets which are comparable to those of mice.

Objective:To explore the incidence of PTSD and its risk factors among adults in flood district.Methods:Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders(Ⅳ Edition) were used to examine and diagnose the victims.Results:The positive rate of PTSD was 33.8%.The results of logistic regression analysis showed that style of flood (OR=4.07),having been besieged by the flood when waiting for resue(OR=2.65),seeing other people drowned by flood(OR=2.77),having the experience of staying with the dead in flood(OR=3.14) and level of satisfaction with sustaining(OR=0.72) were risk factors.Conclusion:PTSD is a not uncommon mental disorder among adults in flood district in our country and psychosocial intervention is needed.

Volatile oil from the clove bud was extracted by petroleum ether using Soxhlet Extractor.The acaricidal activity was examined using direct contact and vapour phase toxicity bioassays.In a filter paper contact toxicity bio-assay,at 2.5 h after treatment,clove bud oil at a dose of 12.20 ?g/cm2 killed all dust mites.As judged by 24-h LD50 values,potent fumigant action was observed with clove bud oil(12.20 ?g/cm2),showing an adequate acaricidal activity against indoor Dermatophagoides farinae.

Objective To study the effects of TSPG on apoptosis of K562 cells and the probable mechanism involved. Methods MTT was used to investigate the proliferation of K562 cells;Flow cytometry(FCM) was used to investigate the effects of TSPG on apoptosis of K562 cells; The expression of Survivin in K562 cells treated with differ-ent concentraction of TSPG were examined by RT-PCR. Results The growth of K562 cells was inhibited by TSPG in the concentration dependent manner (P < 0.05). FCM showed that the apoptosis rates of cells in 100 μg/L (23.78%) and 200μg/L TSPG group(33.98%) were higher than those in 101μg/L TSPG group(16.67%), with significant difference(P <0.01 or P < 0.05). The expression rates of Survivin were decreased by the treatment with the increasing concentrations of TSPG (P < 0.05). Conclusion TSPG can restrain the human leukemic cell growth and induce cell apoptosis,which may be related to the decreased expressions of Survivin.

The resident match system established in 1952.And since then almost all of the senior medical students and international students have applied a position of resident training in this national system.They seek a respective resident program and hospital for training while the hospital hires students they preferred.The match procedure includes submitting application,interview of selected candidates,submitting rank-order list of both parties,centralizing matching service by computer and announcement of the results in Match Day.This is a relatively stan-dardized,rational and fair system which we can learn something from.

Objective To investigate the effects of partial prostatic capsula and surrounding striated sphincter sparing surgery on the function of intestinal orthotopic neobladder. Methods Total cystectomy and orthotopic intestinal neobladder was performed in 23 male patients with invasive bladder cancer. The patients were divided into classical cystectomy group (n=10) and modified cystectomy group (n=13).In the classical group the prostate was removed completely and the residual urethra was anastomosed with the neobladder using interrupted suture.In the modified group transurethral resection of the prostate preceded the cystectomy,and the prostatic capsula below the verumontanum with its surrounding striated urethral sphincter was retained.The neobladder was anastomosed with the residual capsula using continuous suture.The function of the neobladder in the 2 groups was evaluated and compared. Results The pathological classification of the 23 patients was as follows:T 2aN 0M 0,13 cases;T 2bN 0M 0,6;T 1N 0M 0,1;T 3aN 0M 0,1;T 3bN 1M 0,1;T 4aN 0M 0,1.The patients were followed up for 3 to 40 months(mean,15.7 months).In modified group,11 patients survived disease-free and 2 survived with metastasis.All the 13 patients voided well with residual volume of 0 to 70 ml.Complete urinary continence was achieved in 12 patients and the remaining one had nocturnal incontinence.In classical group,10 patients survived disease-free;of them 7 voided well with residual volume of 10 to 100 ml and the other 3 needed intermittent catheterization because of their residual urine being up to 100 to 250 ml.Complete continence was achieved in 7 patients and the other 3 were incontinent(1 with incontinence day and night,2 with nocturnal incontinence). Conclusions Partial prostatic capsula and its surrounding striated sphincter sparing surgery can improve the continence and voiding of the orthotopic neobladder.$$$$
