Objective: To determine the distribution of Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans (Aa) in subgingival plaques in the patients with chronic periodontitis(CP). Methods: Samples of subgingival plaque were detected for Aa distribution by oligonucleotide probe from 60 sites of CP patients and 10 healthy sites of healthy people.Each sample was obtained from each site of each people. Results: Aa was detected in 19 out of 60 diseased sites(31.67%); Aa wasn't detected in healthy sites.The age(28.68±7.33) of Aa-positive patients was younger than that (44.48±12.48) of Aa-negative patients(P<0.05).Conclusion: Aa is possibly to cause chronic periodontal infection in younger people.

Objective:To evaluate the usefulness of Periocheck in clinical application before and after periodontal curettage.Methods:Periocheck was applied in 65 sites in 65 adult patients with periodontitis within 15 min before and after scaling and root planing to monitor peptidase activity produced by Porphyromones gingivalis (Pg),Treponema denticola(Td) and Bacterides forsythus (Bf) in subgingival plaque. The peptidase activity was determined both spectrophotometrically and by using color standard.Results:The peptidase concentrations (Try U/L) before and after treatment were 0.44±0.23 and 0.34±0.26 (P<0.05),while Periocheck positiveness was found in 65/65 and 43/65 (P<0.01) of the patients,respectively.After treatment clinical parameters such as GI, PD,AL and peptidase concentration decreased (P<0.05) in 22 Periocheck positive patients,while those did not (P>0.05) in 43 negitive.Conclusion:Periocheck might provide a promising chair-side monitoring tool for the evaluation of scaling and root planing.

Objective To study the clinical characteristics of acute asthma during pregnancy,focusing on management of pregnant women presenting with an acute exacerbation.Methods A prospective observational study was conducted in 30 cases of acute exacerbations during pregnancy.Results The prognosis of 25 patients with mild or moderate asthma was good for both mother and fetus;none had severe complications.Among 5 women who had severe exacerbations,there were 4 pulmonary co-infections,1 with respiratory acidosis,1 with respiratory acidosis plus metabolic allkalosis,and 4 with fetal growth-restriction.Conclusions,This study highlights that pregnancy can worsen asthma control in some women.Effective management and prevention of asthma exacerbations during pregnancy is key to ensuring the safety of the mother and the fetus.

Objective:To evaluate the immunogenicity of the recombinant plasmid pcDNA 3.1(+)/kgp_ cd.Methods:BALB/c mice were immunized with recombinant plasmid pcDNA 3.1(+)/kgp_ cd,KGP_ cd protein(control) or vector pcDNA 3.1(+)(control) by quadriceps injection or targeted submandibular gland(TSG) injection. Serum IgG and salivary sIgA levels were assayed by indirect ELISA after immunization. The expression of the protein KGP_ cd in quadriceps and submandibular gland was detected by immunohistochemistry techniques.Results: Serum specific anti-KGP_ cd IgG elicited by pcDNA 3.1(+)/kgp_ cd and KGP_ cd protein was significantly higher in both the quadriceps injection group and the TSG group than that in the pcDNA 3.1(+) group (P

Objective To explore the abnormal inflammatory cytokine profile of salpingitic infertility by means of cytometric bead assay(CBA). Methods To assay representative inflammatory cytokines of 40 patients of salpingitic infertility(PSI) and 40 healthy control by CBA, and compared 30 samples of serum with peritoneal fluid collected from identical subject. Results Experiment data displayed that in PSI the Th lymphocytes were decreased significantly (t =2. 1236,P <0. 05), Ts lymphocytes increased markedly, and the ratio of Th/Ts markedly decreased ( t = 2. 8392, P < 0. 01 ), compared with those of healthy control.(Pre-)inflammatory eytokines (IL-8, IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α) were all significantly higher than those of healthy controls ( t = 4. 9302,5. 5449,3. 4975,5. 6623, respectively, all P < 0. 01 ) ; while anti-inflammatory cytokines ( IL-10, IL-12 ), also increased markedly ( t = 5. 3428,5.9847, respectively, all P < 0. 01 ).Beside IL-10, all other cytokine concentrations presented in serum were higher than that of peritoneal fluid;IL-8(t =2.2113,P <0.05),IL-llS(t =2.9756,P <0.01), IL-6(t =2.3298,P <0.05), TNF-α (t =3. 2895, P < 0. 05 ), IL-12 ( t = 3. 3281, P < 0. 05 ), implying more sensitive of serum samples. Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of azithromycin combined with Bailing capsules in the treatment of chron -ic obstructive pulmonary disease ( COPD) in stable phase .Methods:Totally 154 cases of COPD patients were randomly divided into the treatment group(80 cases)and the control group(74 cases).Both groups were treated with the routine symptomatic treatment , and at the same time, the control group was treated with Bailing capsules (1 g, po, tid)and the treatment group was treated with azithromy-cin tablets (250 mg, po, qd)combined with Bailing capsules(1 g, po, tid).The course of treatment was 6 months and all the patients were followed up for 6 months after the treatment.The clinical efficacy, lung function, exercise tolerance, quality of life, the times of acute exacerbation and the incidence of adverse drug reactions of the two groups were observed and compared .Results:After the treat-ment, the lung function, exercise tolerance and quality of life were improved significantly in the two groups (P<0.05 or <0.01), and all the indices in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group (P<0.05 or <0.01).The total ef-fective rate in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).The times of acute exacerbation in the treat-ment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.01).The adverse drug reactions showed no significant difference between the groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:Azithromycin tablets combined with Bailing capsules can improve lung function , enhance exer-cise tolerance , improve the quality of life and reduce the frequency of acute exacerbation effectively with good security in the treatment of patients with COPD in stable phase .

Objective:To investigate the metabolism changes in corpus striatum of hemiparkinsonian monkeys after chronic high frequency stimulation in subthalamic nucleus (STN) by SPECT and PET imaging. Methods: Two hemiparkinsonian monkeys, induced by unilateral internal carotid artery infusion of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropy-rindine (MPTP), were implanted with stimulation electrodes in STN of lesioned side according to stereotaxic atlas of the monkey brain. SPECT and PET examination were performed before and 1, 3 months after stimulation. Results: PD symptoms of monkeys, including rigidity, bradykinesia and gait abnormality, were significantly improved. SPECT imaging indicated that dopamine transporter (DAT) binding to corpus striatum in stimulated side increased and D 2 receptor (D 2 R) decreased to the level of unlesioned side after stimulating. PET imaging showed that right corpus striatum had lower density than left corpus striatum before stimulation. One month after chronic high frequency stimulation, bilateral corpus striatum had low density, but the right was slightly higher than that of the left;3 months after stimulation the right was obviously higher than the left . Conclusion: The symptoms of hemiparkinsonian monkeys can be obviously improved by STN deep brain stimulation(DBS). The increased DAT binding and glucose metabolism of corpus striatum in stimulated side and the decreased D 2 R binding after stimulation suggest that the activity of striatal dopaminergic system may be promoted by STN DBS.

Objective To analyze the values of anteroposterior diameter (APD) in fetal renal pelvis separation during different gestational weeks and in predicting the prognosis.Methods Totally 182 cases of fetal renal pelvis separation in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University were enrolled in this study between January 2013 and October 2015.All of them were followed up to 12 months after birth.The detecting gestational weeks of non-reversible renal hydronephrosis and values of fetal renal pelvis APD were analyzed.Results Among the 182 cases of fetal renal separation,46 cases were detected in the second trimester,136 cases were detected in the third trimester (bilateral renal pelvis separation occurred in 92 cases).During the follow-up,114 cases recovered in the fetal period and 52 cases recovered within 12 months after birth,finally,16 cases (8.8％,16/182) of them progressed to non-reversible renal hydronephrosis.Among the 16 fetus of non-reversible renal hydronephrosis,10 cases (62.5％,10/16) were detected in the second trimester,their values of APD were 7.4-11.5 mm and the average was (8.0± 1.5) mm;6 cases (37.5％,6/16) were detected in the third trimester,their values of APD were 13.6-14.8 mm and the average was (12.8±2.0) rmm.The values of APD in fetus who were detected in the second trimester were smaller than those in the fetus who detected in the third trimester and the prognosis in the fetus who were detected in the second trimester was worse than those in the fetus who were detected in the third trimester,the fetus (21.7％,10/46) who progressed to non-reversible renal hydronephrosis in the second trimester were more than the fetus (4.4％,6/136) who were detected in the third trimester.Conclusion Clinical following-up combined with the detecting gestational weeks of fetal renal pelvis separation and values of fetal renal plevis APD by prenatal ultrasound may be helpful in predicting their prognosis.
