Objective To evaluate the efficacy of zoledronic acid combined with radiotherapy for bone meta-static cancer. Methods 71 cases with bone metastatic cancer were randomly divided into observation group (40 ca-ses) and control group (31 cases). The observation group was treated with zoledronic acid, 4 mg intravenously and local radiotherapy. The control group was treatd by radiotherapy alone. Results Pain relief was noted in 90% pa-tients in the observation group and 83.9% in the control group, respectively. The statistical difference was not signif-icant(P > 0.05). After the treatment had finished 3 months pain alleviation situation:Pain relief was noted in 87.5% patients in the observation group and 67.7% in the control group, respectively. The difference between the two groups was significant(χ2 =4.09, P =0.043). No serious radiotherapy and serious adverse drug reactions was found. Conclusion Zoledronic acid combined with radiotherapy was superior to radiotherapy alone for metastatic cancer bone pain relief, analgesic effect maintain a longer time.

Objective To explore the effectiveness of Liberman mental rehabilitation training on social function of the patients with chronic schizophrenia. Methods Sixty-two in-patients with stable chronic schizophrenia were trained for 12 weeks with Liberman mental rehabilitation technique. The social disability screening schedule (SDSS) was used to assess the social function before and after training. Result After training, the scores by SDSS were lower those than before training with statistical significance (P < 0.001). Conclusion Liberman mental rehabilitation training can improve the social function of patients with chronic schizophrenia.

OBJECTIVETo study the role of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) levels and other risk factors in the occurrence of chronic hydrocephalus after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH).
METHODSPatients treated for aSAH in our hospital between January, 2007 and June, 2012 were divided into non-hydrocephalus group and hydrocephalus group. TGF-β1 levels in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) were compared between the two groups at different time points. A retrospective analysis was conducted to identify the potential risk factors for chronic hydrocephalus, which were subsequently confirmed by Logistic regression analysis.
RESULTSOf the 129 patients enrolled, 16 (12.4%) developed chronic hydrocephalic with an average diagnosis time of 31.6∓17.0 days. In patients with chronic hydrocephalus, TGF-β1 level in the CSF increased significantly on the 13th day following aSAH (P<0.05). Retrospective analysis showed that the patients with hydrocephalus and those without had significant differences in history of hypertension, times of SAH, Hunt-Hess classification, ventricular expansion, aneurysm position, Fisher classification, ventricular hemorrhage score and intracranial infections (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis identified ventricular expansion, aneurysm position, Fisher classification, ventricular hemorrhage score and postoperative intracranial infections as significant risk factors for the occurrence of chronic hydrocephalus (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONSIn adult patients with aSAH, the risk factors for chronic hydrocephalus include ventricular expansion, aneurysm position, Fisher classification, ventricular hemorrhage score and postoperative intracranial infections. These risk factors can have greater clinical value than TGF-β1 levels in the CSF in predicting the occurrence of chronic hydrocephalus following aSAH.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effect of aneurysm clipping and partial blood clot removal in the subarachnoid space on hemorrhage volume in the subarachnoid space and cerebral vasospasm in patients with different Fisher grades.
METHODSPatients with subarachnoid space hemorrhage (SAH) of Fisher Grades I, II, and III were subdivided into control and treatment groups for comparative studies. The patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIAs) undergoing aneurysm clipping were also compared with Fisher grade I control subgroup. OxyHb levels in the cerebrospinal fluid and cerebral blood flow volume (CBFV) of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) were measured on days 3, 7, and 13 day after SAH.
RESULTSThe patients with UIAs and Fisher Grade I control subgroup showed significant differences in OxyHb levels on day 3 in CBFV of the MCA on days 3 and 7 (P<0.05). In the SAH groups, OxyHb levels increased significantly on day 3 day in the treatment subgroups of Fisher Grades I and II, but declined significantly on days 7 and 13 in Fisher Grade III treatment subgroup as compared with the corresponding control subgroups (P<0.05); in Fisher Grade I group on days 3 and 7 and in Fisher Grade II group on day 7, CBFV of the MCA increased significantly in the treatment subgroups, but in Fisher Grade III group, CBFV decreased significantly on days 7 and 13 compared with the control subgroup (P<0.05). A positive correlation was found between OxyHb levels in the cerebrospinal fluid and CBFV of the MCA (P<0.05).
CONCLUSIONFor patients with Fisher Grades I and II aneurysms, craniotomy may increase hemorrhage volume in the subarachnoid space and exacerbate cerebral vasospasm, but for Grade III patients, aneurysm clipping and blood clot removal shows beneficial effects in terms of reducing hemorrhage volume and relieving cerebral vasospasm.

Aim To explore the feasibility of the micro- dynamic chromogenic method for quantitative detection of bacterial endotoxin in recombinant novel coronavirus vaccine ( CHO cell). Methods The micro-dynamic color method of Limulus reagent was used to establish a bacterial endotoxin standard curve. The dilution factor was determined through interference pre -experiment, the recoverv rate of the endotoxin added to the test so- J lution was determined, and the interference test to complete the quantitative detection test of the bacterial endotoxin content in the test product was performed, and the results were compared with those of the gel-clot method. Results Hie linear range of the concentration of the standard curve was 0.02 to 2.0 EU • mL 1 , and the regression equation of the standard curve was lgT =-0.302 7 lgC +2.858 7( r = 0.998 9).When recombinant novel coronavirus vaccine ( CHO cell) was cliluted 40 times or below, the micro -dynamic chromogenic reagent did not interfere with the bacterial endotoxin agglutination reaction, and the recovery rate was 50% to 200%.The test results were consistent with the gel- clot method. Conclusions The micro-dynamic chromogenic method can be used for the quantitative detection of bacterial endotoxins in recombinant novel coronavirus vaccine ( CHO cell) with accurate results, high sensitivity, and process monitoring.

The repair and reconstruction of long ureteral defects is a technical challenge faced by urologists. The ileal ureter replacement is currently the main surgical method for treating long segment ureteral defects. After the ileal ureter replacement surgery, mucin 2 (MUC2) and mucin 3 (MUC3), which are the main functional components of ileal mucus, continue to be strongly expressed. In addition, the expression of MUC2 gene after surgery is not limited to goblet cells, but can even be expressed in absorption cells of the ileum, ultimately leading to a large amount of mucin synthesis and mucus secretion. Mucus can cause many complications such as obstruction and infection, seriously affecting the treatment effect. At present, the industry has tried various methods to reduce the secretion of mucus and related complications after ileal ureteral replacement surgery, such as cutting the ileum to reduce mucosal area and mucosal exfoliation to reduce mucus production, and has achieved certain results. This article provides a review of research progress on the types, molecular mechanisms, and solutions of mucus related complications after ileal ureteral replacement surgery.
