Chinese Journal of cardiovascular Rehabilitation Medicine 2015;24(3):280-282
Objective:To explore the relationship between serum uric acid (SUA) level and restenosis after percutane-ous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) .Methods:A total of 389 patients , who were diagnosed as ACS and received PCI in our hospital from Jan 2010 to Dec 2013 ,were selected .The 82 pa-tients with hyperuricemia were regarded as hyperuricemia group ,and the remaining patients with normal SUA level were treated as normal SUA group (n= 307) .Clinical condition and restenosis after PCI were observed and com-pared between two groups .Results:Compared with normal SUA group ,there were significant rise in percentages of hypertension (41.04% vs .58.54% ) ,Killip> class Ⅰ (16.61% vs .26.83% ) and multi-vessel coronary disease (50.16% vs .64.63% ) ,restenosis rate after PCI (9.12% vs .15.85% ) in hyperuricemia group ,P<0.05 all .Con-clusion:Serum uric acid level is closely related to restenosis rate after PCI in ACS patients ,which is worth attention .

AIM: To demonstrate the changes of activity and electron microscopic enzyme cytochemistry staining of H+-K+-ATPase of gastric parietal cells under stress in rats.METHODS: Twenty-four male SD rats were randomly divided into normal group, stress group and stress+omeprazole(OM) group.Water immersion-restraint stress(WRS) model in SD rats was performed. The ulcer index(UI) of gastric mucosa and H+-K+-ATPase activity of gastric parietal cells were measured. The changes of ultrastructure and electron microscopic enzyme cytochemistry staining of parietal cells were observed under transmission electron microscope(TEM).RESULTS: Compared with control group, the UI of gastric mucosa and H+-K+-ATPase activity of gastric parietal cells increased(P

Objective To explore the antagonistic effect of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) on corticosterone (CORT)-induced depression in rats and investigate the underlying mechanisms. Methods Forty adult male SD rats were randomly divided into control group,CORT treatment group,low-dose NaHS treatment group,high-dose NaHS treatment group.Rats in the later three groups were treated with CORT (40 mg/kg/d,subcutaneous injection) for 14 d to induce depression models, and rats in the control did not give any treatment;15 d after that, rats in the control group and CORT treatment group were given normal saline (5 mL/kg),and rats in the low-dose NaHS treatment group and high-dose NaHS treatment group were given NaHS at 1.68 mg/kg and 5.60 mg/kg,respectively,via intraperitoneal injection for 14 d.The depression-like behavior was evaluated by locomotor activity test, sucrose preference test and forced swimming test. The expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) in the hippocampus was detected by Western blotting and ELISA.Results The spontaneous motor activity, sucrose consumption and hippocampal BDNF expression in the CORT treatment group were significantly decreased, and the immobility time was significantly increased as compared with those in the control group (P<0.05).The spontaneous motor activity, sucrose consumption and hippocampal BDNF protein in NaHS treatment groups were significantly increased, and the immobility time was significantly decreased as compared with CORT treatment group (P<0.05);these indexes between low-dose NaHS treatment group,high-dose NaHS treatment group showed no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion H2S exerts antidepressant-like effect on CORT-treated rats;BDNF probably mediates the antidepressant role of H2S.

Objective To analyze the prevalence and risk factors of anemia in a general population in Kailuan. Methods Working and retired employees m Kailuan Company who had participated in biennial physical examination from 2006-2014 were investigated by questionnaire and blood test.Hemoglobin levels< 120 g/L in male and< 110 g/L in female are defined as anemia. The trend of prevalence of anemia was analyzed by chi square test.Multivariable logistic regression was used to analyze the factors associated with anemia. Results (1) The biennial prevalence of anemia in Kailuan during 2006-2014 were 3.7%,3.1%,2.4%,1.3%,1.5%.The corresponding proportion were 3.3%,2.3%,1.9%,0.8%,1.0% in males and 5.3%,5.9%,4.2%,3.1% and 3.3% in females, respectively. The differences between males and females were statistically significant (all P<0.05).The prevalence of anemia declined over time (P for trend<0.05).(2) The results of multivariable logistic regression showed that aging and elevated hs-CRP were positively associated with anemia, with OR=1.01 (95%CI 1.01-1.02)and 1.03 (95%CI 1.02-1.03),respectively.While male,BMI,physical exercise, smoking, hyperlipidemia were negatively associated with anemia with OR=0.60(95%CI 0.55-0.65),0.99 (95%CI 0.98-0.99),0.91 (95%CI 0.82-0.98),0.87 (95%CI 0.81-0.95)and 0.87(95%CI0.81-0.94),respectively.Conclusions The prevalence of anemia in a large general population in Kailuan has been analyzed.Prevalence of anemia is higher in males than females and declines over time.Several demographic and clinical characteristics are associated with anemia.

Chronic hepatitis B (CHB) is a global epidemic disease caused by hepatitis B virus that can lead to hepatic failure, even liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. The occurrence and development of CHB are closely related to the changes in the gut microbiota communities. To explore the relationship between the structure of gut microbiota and liver biochemical indicators, 14 CHB patients (the CHB group) and 11 healthy people (the CN group) were randomly enrolled in this study. Our results demonstrate that CHB caused changes in the gut microbiota communities and biochemical indicators, such as alanine transaminase, total bilirubin and gamma glutamyl transferase. Furthermore, CHB induced imbalance of the gut microbiota. Prevotella, Blautia, Ruminococcus, Eubacterium eligens group, Bacteroides uniformis and Ruminococcus sp. 5_1_39BFAA were associated with the critical biochemical indicators and liver injury, suggesting a new approach to CHB treatment.

Objective:
To acknowledge the availability and rates of annual transition of outcomes during the progression and regression stages of colorectal cancer (CRC) and related diseases, by pooling global follow-up studies on the natural history of CRC.
Methods:
Till March, 2017, data was collected through systematic literature review over multiple databases, including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane and Chinese Biology Medicine (CBM) disc. Information regarding the characteristics, classification system of health states, related outcomes and incidence rates on CRC or high-risk adenoma for the surveillance cohorts of the studies, were extracted and summarized. Both Meta and sensitivity analyses were performed on those outcomes if they appeared in more than 3 studies, using the random effects model. Annual transition rate with 95
