1.The effect of Salviae miltiorrhizae on cardiac pump function of rabbits during hemorrhagic shock

This paper reports the effect of salviae miltiorrhizae composition on cardiae pupm function of rabbits during hemorrhagic shock. Two groups of rabbits were narcotized with 1% procain and blood was drawn out from femonal artery and the artery blood pressure was kept at 40-50 mmHg for 90 minutes. (1) The treated group: The rabbits were kept in low blood pressure for 90 minutes and then, they were transfused into the femoral vein 5% glucose and normal saline 15ml/kg in which was added salviae miltiorrhizae composita 2ml/kg. At the same time, the drawn blood was transfused into vein. The time was kept for 30 minutes. ABP, CVP, HR, and CO were measured before shock, during shock, after transfusion O rain, 30 min, 60 min, and 120 min, and SV, CI, LVSW and TPR were taken respectively. (2) Con- trol group, Contained no salviae miltiorrhizae composita in the transfusion.The results demonstrated that the salviae milttorrhizo composita can increase ABP, SV, LVSW, and decrease TPR of animals during shock, but the effective time was short. The mechanism may be a redistribution of blood flow in body, dilate coronary artery, increase speed of blood flow in capillary of myocardium, enhance infusion in local myocardial and improve blood supply, so it can improve pump function of rabbit heart during hemorrhagic shock.
2.A HIGH POWER CO_2 LASER SCAPEL FOR HEMISPLENECTOMY AND TRAUMATIC RUPTURE OF THE SFLEFN——AN ANIMAL EXPERIMENTAL STUDY

Twety dogs were used to study a high Power Co_2 laser scapel for hemisplenectomy and traumatic rupture of the spleen by temporary occlusion of the spleen pedicle. The laser scapel with its point power of 160-200 w was used for a focusing cut and for stopping bleeding by the laser beam beyond the focus. The wound surface could be dried and coking good, without injecting adrenaline into the splenic artery. All the dogs survived after the experimental investgation and no infection or any more Post-oPerative bleeding was found. The spleen membrane was formed on the section of the spleen 1 year after operation. Compared with other operations for keeping the organ of spleen, this method safer and more reliable. It could be used in clinical practice with success.
3.The effect of improved closed repair operation combined with YiQiZengYe traditional Chinese medicine for treating patients with severe rectocele

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of improved closed repair operation combined with YiQiZengYe traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) for treating the patients with severe rectocele.Methods 60 patients with severe rectocele were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The patients in treatment group received the treatment of improved closed repair operation combined with YiQiZengYe TCM,and the patients in control group received the treatment of conventional transvaginal incision repair.The clinical efficacy was evaluated 3 months after surgery.The clinical symptom score,rectocele depth of resting bit and force row,postoperative complications of two groups were comparatively analyzed.Following-up of 6 months after surgery,the postoperative recurrence was observed.Results The effective rate of the treatment group was 100.0%,and was significantly higher than that of the control group(70.0%) (x2 =10.588,P < 0.05) ; The complication rates of postoperative bleeding,pain,anal bulge and infection in the treatment group were 0 cases,3 cases(10.0%),7 cases(23.3%),1 cases (3.3%),respectively,wich were significantly lower than those of the control group [4 cases (13.3%),23 cases (76.7%),28cases (93.3%),9 cases (3.3 %)] (x2 =4.286,38.400,30.240,7.680,all P < 0.05).There was no postoperative recurrence in the treatment group.Conclusion The improved closed repair operation combined with YiQiZengYe TCM for treating the patients with severe rectocele can significantly improve the clinical efficacy,effectively improve prognosis and prevent recurrence.This treatment method is safe and reliable.
4.A STUDY ON FREQUENCY OF CHROMOSOME ABERRATION AND SISTER-CHROIATID EXCHANGE SN WORKERS EXPOSED TO DICHLORVOS

The frequencies of chromosome aberrations (CA) and sister-chromatid exchanges (SCE) were investigated in the peripheral blood lymphocytes of 19 workers exposeu to dichlorvos and 10 non-exposed controls.The results showed that the frequency of SCE was significantly higher in the exposed group than that in the control group.However there was not statistical difference of the frequency of CA between the two groups.An increase of the frequency of SCE in the exposed group indicated the possibility of potential mutagenicity of dichlorvos.The results also showed that the frequency of SCE increased with duration of dichlorvos exposure, but it was not related to the effect of dichlorvos on ChE.The SCE changes recovered slowly after cessation of exposure to dichlorvos for an average period of 8.6 months.
5.The prevalence of erectile dysfuncrion in 1247 married men in Beijing urban area

ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence o f erectile dysfuction (ED) in Beijing urban ared,and to study the influence of dem ographic and other risk factors.MethodsUsing systemic epidemiological method, 1247 married men in Beijing urban area were selected by two-stage sample methods.General condition, health status, medications, smok ing and lifestyle was collected by trained interviewers.A self-administered sex ual activity questionnaire (IIEF-5) was used to characterize erectile potency. ResultsThe prevalence rate of ED of married men in Bei jing is 39.1%,and the prevalence rate of ED over 40 years is 54.5%.ED was strong ly correlated with age,especially for men over 60 years.The prevalence rate of c omplete ED in 60~69 years group is nearly 5 times as in 50~59 years group.The ot her important factors correlated with ED include diabetes,vascular disease and s o on.ConclusionsThe prevalence of ED in Beijing urban area and the important risk factors are similar to those reported.Whereas the pr evalence rate of complete ED over 60 years is significantly higher.
6.Characteristic analysis of patients with senile degenerative valvular heart disease complicated heart fail-ure

Objective:To explore the clinical characteristics of senile degenerative valvular heart disease (SDHVD)compli-cated heart failure (HF).Methods:A total of 68 SDHVD + HF patients were enrolled as SDHVD + HF group,another 62 aged HF patients without valvular calcification in the same period were enrolled as HF control group.Characteristics of two groups were analyzed.Results:Compared with HF control group,there were significant rise in percentages of severe cardiac dysfunction (NYHA class III:19.35% vs.38.24%,NYHA class IV:35.49% vs.55.88%),incidence rates of at-rial premature (17.74% vs.38.24%),sinoatrial block (22.58% vs.50.00%),atrial fibrillation (27.42% vs.52.94%), paroxysmal atrial tachycardia (30.65% vs.48.53%),atrioventricular block (33.87% vs.52.94%)and bundle branch block (25.81% vs.48.53%)in SDHVD + HF group,P <0.05 or <0.01. Conclusion:When SDHVD patients compli-cate with HF,the HF degree aggravates and incidence rate of arrhythmia rises.

It was an dideal model of respiratory distress syndyomeinduccd in 59 rabbits by Ⅳ oleic acid injection. Pulmonary hemodynamics, cardiac impedance paramcters were measured, microemboli and leukocytcs were abtained directly from the pulmonary microcirculation by use of the retrograde perfusion method. The results showed that pulmonary hemodynamics were changed significantly, but did not correlate with development of pulmonary edema. 9.The role of telomerase reverse transcriptase in monocrotaline-induced pulmonary hypertension in rats

AIM and METHODS: To explore the role of telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) in monocrotaline-induced pulmonary hypertension (PH), TERT was investigated by using immunohistochemistry and image analysis on the chronic PH induced by MCT in Sprague-Dawley rats. RESULTS: TERT was positive in pulmonary vascular smooth muscle cells, bronchial smooth muscle cells and chondrocytes in normal group. TERT in MCT group was more positive in pulmonary vascular smooth muscle cells and bronchial smooth muscle cells compared with normal group. CONCLUSION: Over expression of TERT in pulmonary vascular smooth muscle cells and bronchial smooth muscle cells is related to MCT-induced PH.
10.Polysaccharides from Ligusticum chuanxiong

Objective To study the polysaccharides from dried rhizome of Ligusticum chuanxiong.Methods DEAE-Cellulose and gel-filtration chromatography were used to isolate and purify the polysaccharides,whose structures were characterized by chemical and spectral methods.Results Four homogeneous polysaccharides,named LCP-1,LCP-2,LCP-3,and LCP-4 were obtained from the water extract of L.chuanxiong.Four structures were investigated to be complicated polysaccharied fractions,with the molecular weights of 3.1?10~4,5.2?10~4,9.0?10~4,and 3.6?10~4,respectively,then estimated by GPC.Conclusion The four polysaccharides are obtained from this plant for the first time.
