Errors in prescriptions are common phenomena in prescriptions produced by clinicians. With development and application of information technology in medical fields, electronic prescription system has been regarded as the best resolution for effective prevention of errors in prescriptions. A retrospective study of the prescriptions made by the electronic prescription system of the hospital studied over one year showed that this system could reduce errors easily made in manual prescriptions significantly, but it failed to reduce the errors related to dosages. Those dosage-related errors were mainly caused by change of physician prescribing behavior and defective man-machine interaction. Electronic prescription system, though functions basically, can not avoid prescription errors effectively, which poses a potential threat to safe use of medicines in patients. It is urgent at the moment to perfect the functions of electronic prescription system, promote a friendly man-machine interaction and reduce errors made by system errors.

Availability of appropriate drugs for children has been a bottleneck both at home and abroad for years. As a result, drugs for adults that are market available emerge a choice of convenience for children's treatment instead. For unique physiological and psychological characteristics of children, these drugs must be dispensed on individual basis before usage to children in question.Such drugs play a key role in children's treatment, and incur many problems on the other hand in their use and practice, such as drug stability, dosage accuracy, potential risks, as well as legitimacy in drug dispensing and use.A safe, reasonable and normalized use of such drugs calls for an orchestrated effort among pharmacists, trade associations and drug regulators as well.

Objective To perform facial nerve monitoring in patients under the low level of neuromuscular blockade during resection of acoustic neurinomas. Methods Twenty-eight patients with large,or medium acoustic neuroma underwent the surgery of acoustic neurinomas resection. During the operation,TOF and EEG monitoring were performed in order to detect the degree of muscle relaxation and the depth of anesthesia. Neuromuscular relaxation was maintained at T_4/T_1=25%~50% by adjusting doses of muscle relaxant and aneasthetic. Free-run EMG and Triggered EMG of orbicularis oris, orbicularis oculi, masseter and trapezius were recordered to monitor the function of the facial, trigeminal and accessory nerves, respectively. The function of the facial nerve was evaluated at first week and half year postoperatively according to House-brackmann classification. Results The facial never was successfully identified and mapped by neurominitoring in all 28 patients. successfully, tThe electrical stimulation was 0.1 mA-0.3 mA and no any involuntary body movement was observed in all patients ne of patients have moved during operation. The preservation of the facial nerve function following surgery was good. Five patients had a HB grade I, 13 a HB grade II, 8 a grade III and 2 a HB grade IV The facial nerve function was HB Grade Ⅰin 5 of 28 patients, HB GradeⅡ in 13, HB Grade Ⅲ in 8 and HB Grade Ⅳ in 2 immediately after operation. Six months after surgery, 10 casespatents showed demonstrated a HB GradeⅠof facial never function, 12 cases exhibited a slight palsy (HB Grade II) , and 5 cases exhibited a HB Grade III palsy and . Another 1 cases a exhibited severe palsy (HB Grade IV).Conclusions Facial nerve monitoring in patients under the low level of neuromuscular blockade can ensure the surgical safety and preserve the facial never function.

BACKGROUND:Bioactive glass, a multi-phase composite material, has good biological activity, bone conductivity and biocompatibility, but as a bone repair material it cannot be completely degraded, and has low mechanical strength that is insufficient.
OBJECTIVE:To design a kind of bioactive glasses/chitosan composite scaffold, and to investigate its physicochemical properties and cellcompatibility.
METHODS:Hydrochloric acid solution containing 2.0%chitosan was mixed withβ-glycerophosphate at a radio of 7:1 to prepare chitosan solution. Bioactive glasses of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 g were added into the prepared chitosan solution, and the mass ratios of chitosan and bioactive glass were 2:1, 1:1, and 1:1.5 respectively. The composite materials were immersed and mineralized in simulated body fluid for 7 days.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Scanning electron microscopy showed that the composite scaffold had an interconnected porous structure with the porosity of 89%and the pore size of 100-300μm;bioactive glasses dispersed in a needle shape between the chitosan scaffolds, arranged evenly, and were ful y wrapped tightly by the scaffolds. With the increase in mass of bioactive glass, the porosity of the composites decreased, but the fracture strength gradual y increased. There was a positive correlation between the composite porosity and fracture strength. X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy confirmed that the composite scaffold appeared to have no changes in the nature of single materials, and differential scanning calorimetry analysis showed no mass loss at normal body temperature. After 3 days of mineralization, hydroxyapatite forming on the material surface gradual y grew up as a vil ous shape, and also significantly increased in number. After 7 days of mineralization, hydroxyapatite changed from a vil ous shape to a needle shape, the amount of hydroxyapatite was increased further, and many mineralized products were in a spherical shape.

Objective To investigate the imaging characteristics of USPIO-enhanced and Gd-enhanced MRI in atherosclerosis and to compare the detection rate of atherosclerotic plaque between them. Methods Thirty-five healthy male rabbits were assigned to experimental group (n=30) to establish a model of atherosclerosis by damaging aortic tunica intima with Foley′s tube in combination with a high fat diet and 5 to control group without any intervention. At week 12, USPIO-enhanced and Gd-enhanced MRI scanning were conducted to compare the signal changes of atherosclerotic plaque before and after enhancement with the 2 contrast media. Ninety seven pictures were randomly selected respectively from the pictures enhanced by the 2 contrast media to compare the detection rate plaque between them. Pthology examination was used for detection standard. For the control group , pictures were randomly selected. Results In the experimental group, 7 rabbits died of Foley′s tube damaging, 2 died of raising and 1 died of anesthesia. All 5 rabbits in control group survived. A total of 172 pathological sections were made with 134 plaques and 72 vulnerable plaques pathologically confirmed. In pictures enhanced by USPIO , 84 plaques were confirmed by HE staining with a detection rate of 86.6%. In pictures enhanced by Gd, 72 plaques were confirmed by HE staining with a detection rate of 74.2%. Detection rate of USPIO-enhanced MRI in atherosclerosis plaque was significantly higher than that of Gd-enhanced MRI (X2=3.96, P=0.046). Conclusion USPIO shows its superiority as a new contrast medium in detection of atherosclerosis plaque.
