Objective To investigate the expression and role of Skp2 and P21 in the process of breast hyperplasia cancerizing.Methods The expression of Skp2 and P21 protein in normal breast tissue,adenosis of breast,breast atypical hyperplasia,breast hyperplasia cancerization,and breast cancer were detected by immunohistochemical staining SP method.Results(1) The expression of Skp2 and P21 in normal breast tissue and adenosis of breast was negative,the positive staining rate of Skp2 and P21 in breast atypical hyperplasia was 25.71% and 37.14%,in breast hyperplasia cancerization 63.16% and 73.68%,breast cancer,75% and 100% respectively.The contradistinction between breast atypical hyperplasia and breast hyperplasia cancerization was of significant statistically.But there was no statistical significance between breast hyperplasia cancerization and breast cancer.(2) The expression of P21 could lead to accelerated expression of Skp2.(?2= 10.024,P=0.002).There was a significant positive correlation between Skp2 and P21(r=0.563,P=0.000).Conclusion Skp2 and P21 are involed in the early stage of breast cancer and contribute to the maligant phenotype without affecting infiltration.Both of them are danger factors for breast hyperplasia cancerizing and contribute to malignant process from normal breast tissue and atypical hyperplasia to breast cancer.They are effective indicators for prognosis of breast hyperplasia.

Objective To explore the association between estrogen receptor gene polymorphism and systemic lupus erythematosns in women of Han nationality from Jiangxi province.Methods Whole blood samples were obtained from 95 female patients with SLE of Han nationality (18 with pre-menarche onset and 77 with post-menarche onset) and 100 healthy female controls from Jiangxi province.Genomic DNA was extracted from these samples followed by the analysis of polymorphism at Pvu Ⅱ and Xba I sites of estrogen receptor alpha gene with PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP).The frequencies of alleles and genotypes were compared between the control and patients and between patients with pre-menarche onset and those with post-menarche onset.Results The frequency of P allele was higher in patients with SLE than in the controls (35.8% vs 27%,P<0.05),but lower in patients with pre-menarche onset than in those with post-menarche onset (19.4% vs 39.6%,P<0.05).Further more,an increment was observed in the frequency of Xxpp genotype in patients with pre-menarche onset compared with normal controls and patients with postmenarche onset (16.7% vs 1% and 1.3%,both P<0.05).Conclusions The frequency of P allele in ER alpha gene is increased in female patients with SLE of Han nationality from Jiangxi province.The Xxpp genotype of ER gene may be associated with the susceptibility to pre-menarche onset SLE.

Objective To study the professional value of freshman who specializes in nursing in college,which can help us to take effective strategies to help nursing students form correct and steady professional value.Methods 208 nursing students in college were investigated with nursing professional value questionnaire.Results The total score of the professional value of freshman was (124.53±3.41)points,and caring was (32.41±1.39) points,trust was (22.98±1.64) points,justice was(26.66±l.55) points,profession was (19.73±1.27) points and behaviorism was (22.94±1.31) points among the professional value.Compared with the female nursing students,the scores of the professional values in trust,justice and behaviorism were lower in male,and the score of trust dimension was significantly lower.But the score of the item “Patients have the right to accept or refuse treatment and caring” in justice was significantly lower in female nursing students than male.Conclusions The professional value of nursing students were not optimistic,especially in male nursing students.So colleges and universities need to find effective ways to enhance the training of the professional value of nursing students.

BACKGROUND: The operation on cervical spondylosis is usually done through anterolateral cervical vertebrae to mainly expose cervical vertebrae,intervertebral disc, hook joint and so on. The recent reports are mostly local studies. The observation data of the distance between cervical vertebrae and the corresponding nervus vascularis is limited.OBJECTIVE: The relation of the blood vessels and nerves to cervical vertebrae was observed in neck so as to prevent iatrogenic blood vessels and nerve injuries in the operation on cervical spondyloisis.DESIGN: A single sample trial based on the anatomic samples SETTING: The department of anatomy of a medical college PARTICIPANTS: The experiment was conducted in the Department of Anatomy of Changzhi Medical College from July 2003 to May 2004. Twenty adult antiseptic samples with 40 sides including 36 from males and 4 from the females supported by the Department of Human Anatomy, Changzhi Medical College.METHODS: The accompanying relation of the blood vessels to the nerves,the length of the blood vessels, and the distances from their starting point and end to the neighboring cervical vertebrae were observed and measured in 40 adult antiseptic samples of the neck.the distances from their starting point and end point to the neighboring cervical vertebrae.RESULTS: Totally, 40 sides of 20 samples entered the stage of the result analysis. The facial artery followed the lingual nerve, and the length from its starting point to the neighboring cervical vertebrae C3 was ( 18.5 ± 7.2) mm. The lingual artery followed the hypogolossal nerve, and the distance from its starting point of the lingual artery to C2 -3 was( 19.7 ± 8.4)mm. The superior thyroid artery followed the lateral branch of the superior laryngeal nerve, and the distance rom its starting to the point of the superior thyroid artery to C3 was (17.0 ± 5.7) mm, and the length from the end of the superior thyroid artery to C5 was (18.2 ± 2.5 ) mm. The superior laryngeal artery followed the medial branch of the superior laryngeal nerve, and the distances from its starting point and end point to C3 were( 15.7 ± 6.7) mm and(19. 7± 5.8) mm respectively. As for the inferior thyroid artery, the distances from its starting point and the end point to C7 were ( 17.3 ± 5.5 ) mm and ( 11.3 ± 3.4 ) mm respectively.CONCLUSION: In the operation on cervical spondylosis, attention should be paid to the anatomic stricture of the special position at different positions so as to reduce the iatrogenic blood vessels and nerve injuries.

Objective To observe the characteristics of multiple evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS) with modern multimodal imaging modalities.Methods This was a retrospective case study.Eleven patients (11 eyes) diagnosed with MEWDS were enrolled.There were 10 females and 1 male,mean age was 27.6 years (range 15-41 years).The period between disease onset and visiting to the hospital was between 2 to 13 days,the average time was 4.7 days.All the patients underwent examinations of best corrected visual acuity,slit-lamp biomicroscope,indirect ophthalmoscope,fundus color photography,fundus autofluorescence (FAF),fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA),indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) and spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT).The mean follow up duration was 3.2 months.The imaging characteristics were compared.Results Fundus color photography showed foveal orange-red granularity in all eyes.FAF showed strong autofluorescence with a vague boundary.FFA showed a variable number of highly fluorescent fine needle-like dots arranged in a ring in the early stage,and fluorescence remained in the late stage.ICGA showed advanced lesions of vague boundary merged into a large plaque of deep retinal hypofluorescence.SD-OCT showed the hyperreflectant material deposit over the retinal pigment epithelium and extending anteriorly through the interdigitation zone,ellipsoid layer,and toward the external limiting membrane.At the site of extrafoveal lesions,SD-OCT revealed the presence of discontinuities or disruptions centered on the ellipsoid zone to include the interdigitation.Conclusions In MEWDS patients,fundus photography showed foveal orange-red granularity;FFA showed early fluorescent dots distributed in a ring pattern;ICGA showed hypofluorescent lesions in the later stage;SD-OCT showed disruption of the interdigitation zone and ellipsoid zone and accumulations of hyperreflective material that was of variable size and shape;FAF showed strong autofluoresce areas that correlated to spots observed with FFA and ICGA.

Objective To study the effect of hidden curriculum on the professional value of nursing students in higher education.Methods A total of 300 full-time nursing students in higher education were collected by the cluster sampling method.They were divided into experimental group and control group by natural class lottery method with 150 students each.The students in experimental group accepted the hidden curriculum such as administrator working of nursing students training,simulated the candidates and the volunteer activities.Then the professional value of the 2 groups was evaluated with nursing professional value questionnaire.Results The total score of the professional value in experimental group after intervention was (126.38±3.29) scores,and caring was (32.50±1.20) scores,trust was (24.40±1.59) scores,justice was (25.54±1.55) scores,profession was (19.64±1.26) scores and behaviorism was (24.31±1.30) scores.The total score of the professional value in control group after intervention was (123.62±2.76) scores,and caring was (32.51±1.24) scores,trust was (22.36±1.30) scores,justice was (26.47±1.54) scores,profession was (19.80±1.23)scores and behaviorism was (22.54±1.59) scores.The scores of trust and behaviorism in experimental group were higher than those in control group,and there were significant differences,t=2.813,2.441,P＜0.05.Conclusions Nursing students of college have positive professional values.The hidden curriculum can cultivate the nursing students' trust and positive psychological quality in higher education.And thus it can be reasonably used in teaching,which would produce a more proactive effect in higher education.

Objective:To provide chemical basis for processing of leech through investigating the variations of composition of leech scalded with talc powder. Methods: Amino acids were determined by HPLC post column derivatization and steroids by GC MS. Results: The results showed the total contents of amino acids in scalded leech were reduced and the steroids of it were changed. Conclusion: The processing method of leech used at the moment has a great influence in chemical components of leech.

Objective To evaluate ultrasound-guided posterior approach to intercostal block for herpetic neuralgia. Methods Forty-eight patients with herpetic neuralgia after appearance of rashes on the back of chest (the coursc ＜ 30 days) aged 56-84 yr received intercostal block performed via posterior approach under the guidance of ultrasound with a mixture of 0.75% ropivacaine, glucocorticoid and methylene blue. Pain was assessed with visual analogue scale (VAS) before block and at 1, 2, 4 and 8 weeks after block. Pain relief (PAR) was cal-culated (PAR= (VAS score before block- VAS score after block) ÷ VAS score before block × 100%). Results No patient developed dyspnea and pneumothorax. VAS scores were reduced significantly, quality of life was improved and PAR increased at 1, 2, 4 ancl 8 weeks after block ( P ＜ 0.05 or 0.01). Concluslon Ultracound-guided posterior approach to intercostal block is safe and effective for the treatment of herpetic neuralgia.

This study was aimed to analyze the formulas and classify the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) by Dr. Huang Chunlin based on the data mining method. A total of 63 CKD outpatients' medical records by Dr. Huang were collected. And 226 formulas prescribed in the medical records were put in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Support System (TCMISS). Data mining techniques were applied in the study of as-sociation rule mining algorithm and complex system entropy cluster, the usage frequency and the correlation of each single Chinese medicinal in order to sort out the prescription pattern of CKD. The results showed that to for-tify the spleen and tonify the kidney were found to be the basic method of CKD treatment . Through the applica-tion of TCMISS, the Chinese medicinals used in Dr. Huang's CKD treatment were Astragalus root, Eucommia, Epimedium, Cuscuta, Agastache, Danshen Root, Ligustrum. It was concluded that the TCMISS is of great value in the summarization of clinical experiences of well-known TCM doctors.
