Objective: To observe the effect of Yi Jin Jing (Sinew-transforming Qigong Exercises) on the muscle strength in senile sarcopenia. Methods: Sixty-five old people with sarcopenia were randomized into Yi Jin Jing group and a blank control group. Thirty-three patients in Yi Jin Jing group practiced Yi Jin Jing (Sinew-transforming Qigong Exercises), while 32 patients in the blank control group didn't receive any interventions. The muscle strength was measured before and after 12-week training. Results: During the study, each group had 1 dropout. The muscle strength was improved after 12-week training in Yi Jin Jing group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); there was no significant difference in the blank control group (P>0.05). After the intervention, there was a significant difference between Yi Jin Jing group and the blank control group in comparing the muscle strength (P<0.05). Conclusion: Constant Yi Jin Jing (Sinew-transforming Qigong Exercises) training can notably improve skeletal muscle strength in senile sarcopenia.

BACKGROUND:Clinical physicians should pay attention on how to reduce ankle fracture healing wounds, reduce bleeding, improve operating technique, and improve repair effect, especialy for comminuted fracture. It is necessary to understand how to develop a detailed plan before repair, observe specific circumstances of the fracture from multiple angles, and establish three-dimensional images using two-dimensional X-ray films or CT scan. These raise a chalenge for each physician. OBJECTIVE:To explore the application effect of three-dimensional print, minimaly invasive percutaneous screw and locking plate fixation in the repair of ankle fractures. METHODS: A total of 26 cases of fracture of ankle joint were treated from January 2012 to June 2014. There were 9 cases of double ankle fracture, 12 cases of three ankle fractures, and 5 cases of three ankle fractures involved PILON fracture on the lower tibia. They received spiral CT scanning on the ankle joint, and stored in the format of di.com. After processing with minics software, data were converted into STL format, and then input into the three-dimensional printer. Thus, models of ankle joint were made at the ratio of 1:1. The repair scheme was made. After discharge, X-ray films were checked every month to observe the healing condition of fractures. According to Mazur ankle score standard, ankle joint function was assessed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Al 26 cases were folowed up for 6-12 months. The fractures were healed. The healing time was 4-6 months, averagely 5.5 months. The healing was good, without vascular and nerve damage, or plate breakage. In accordance with the Mazur ankle score standard, there were excelent in 11 cases, good in 13 cases with an excelent and good rate of 92%. The operation time was (64±15) minutes, and intraoperative blood loss was (100±15) mL. The incision was healed in stage one. These findings confirm that the simulation training and operation in fracture models of three-dimensional print have smal injuries to patients with ankle fracture. The bleeding was less, the operation was simple, the healing time was short, and the functional recovery was rapid, especialy for comminuted fracture.
5.Progress of studies on genetics of childhood acute leukemia.
Journal of Experimental Hematology 2013;21(3):791-795
This study on determination of leukemia-specific chromosomal abnormalities and their relationship with prognosis of childhood acute leukemia (AL) had an important significance for childhood acute leukemia. In recent years, the efficacy of treatment of childhood AL has been greatly improved, but relapse is still a main factor affecting prognosis. Treatment based on the risk stratification by cytogenetic abnormalities can improve the prognosis and survival rate. In the past 3 decades, the genetic techniques have developed rapidly and many new genetic abnormalities have been found. This review highlights the main chromosomal and genomic abnormalities of 3 common childhood AL, including B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL), T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Objective To obtain the fusion genes of several human orphan G protein coupled receptors (oGPCRs) with Gi1α subtype of G protein and their expression system. Methods The whole open reading frames of GPR45, GPR85, GPR174 and Gilα were cloned by RT-PCR from HepG2 cDNA separately, and the corresponding fusion genes were amplified by overlap extension PCR. Then, the fusion genes-containing pBacmids were successfully constructed with the Bac-to-Bac baculovirus expression system indicated by specific transposition and virus recombination. The insect Sf9 cells were transfected with pBacmid-oGPCRs-Gi1α, and the supernatant containing recombinant virus was harvested. With the supernatant, insect Sf9 cells were infected under an optimized condition (MOI=5, infection time=72 h) and the fusion proteins were prepared and detected by Western blotting. Results The three fusion genes of GPCR45, GPR85 or GPR174 with Gi1α were obtained. The corresponding fusion proteins could be properly prepared in Sf9 cells. Conclusion Human oGPCRs could be fused with Gilα, and the fusion genes could be expressed using the Bac-to-Bac baculovirus expression system in insect Sf9 cells.

Objective:To explore the cytogenetic characteristics of hypospadias in children by karyotype analysis. Methods:From June 2008 to May 2018, 45 children with hypospadias in Tianjin Children's Hospital had cytogenetic abnormalities. Their median age was 10 months(range 3 hours to 5 years old). Of the 45 cases, 20 were proximal hypospadias, 1 was middle hypospadias. All 24 cases had varying degrees of genitourinary malformations. Among them, 15 cases had unilateral or bilateral cryptorchidism, 5 cases had scrotal division, 3 cases had penile scrotal transposition, 3 cases had small penis, 3 cases had indirect inguinal hernia, 1 case had repeated urethra, 1 case had hydrocele and 1 case had concealed penis. To the other systemic malformations, there was 1 with cleft lip and palate and 1 with congenital heart disease. G-banding karyotype analysis of peripheral blood lymphocytes was performed in all 45 cases. Results:Among the 45 cases of hypospadias with abnormal karyotypes, with an abnormal rate of 14.0%, 28 cases (62.22%) had sex chromosome abnormalities, including (47, XXY), (46, XX/47, XXY), (45, X0/47, XYY), etc. Sexual inversion occurred in 8 cases (17.78%), all of which were 46, XX. There were 4 autosomal abnormalities (8.89%), including (46, XY, 9p+ ), (46, XY, 10p+ ) and (46, XY, 1q+ ). Chromosome polymorphism was found in 4 cases (8.89%), including [46, XY, inv(9)] and [46, XY, 16qh+ ], and the equilibrium translocation of 1 case (2.22%) was [45, XY, -21, -22, + t(21; 22)]. Among the 45 cases, 8 sex reversal children with (46, XX) chromosome karyotype were all proximal hypospadias. Conclusions:Children with hypospadias may be associated with chromosomal karyotype abnormalities, including sex chromosomal abnormalities, autosomal abnormalities, chromosome polymorphism and balanced translocation. Among them, sex chromosome abnormality was the most common and balanced translocation was the least.
