Objective To determine the efficacy of hysteroscopy and laparoscopy in differential diagnosis of pregnancy-related diseases, including gestational trophoblastic neoplasia(GTN),incomplete abortion and ectopic pregnancy. Methods Twenty-seven patients with a suspected diagnosis of GTN were transferred to Peking Union Medical College Hospital from September 2003 to March 2006,and underwent hysteroscopy and laparoseopy.Clinical data of patients were reviewed retrospectively. Most patients had abnormal vaginal bleeding and persistently elevated plasma beta human chorionic gonadotropin(?-hCG) level for a median(53?37)days(range,15-125 days)after evacuation.Ultrasound revealed a lesion with affluent blood flow in intrauterine, unilateral horn of uterus,or myometrium. No positive findings were revealed by computerized tomography or X-ray of the chest in all patients.Eleven patients underwent evacuation under hysteroscope,10 patients were diagnosed and treated by laparoscopy, and 6 by hysteruscopy and laparoseopy. Results Choriocarcinoma was diagnosed in 4 patients, who achieved complete remission by chemotherapy later. The diagnosis of GTN was ruled out in the other 23 patients, including cornual pregnancy in 12,pregnancy in rudimentary horn in 1,and incomplete abortion in 10,who were cured by hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery and postoperative adjuvant single dose methotrexate. Conclusions The major causes of pregnancy-related abnormal bleeding include incomplete abortion, eetopic pregnancy, and GTN.Hysteroscopy and laparoseopy are effective alternative of diagnosis for differentiation of GTN from non-GTN and can also offer therapeutic treatment.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics 2000;0(02):-
Aim Powdered injections of luotai consist of total saponins of panax notoginseng(PNS) which protect against ischemia injury from myocardial reperfusion injury. Methods ISO-induced acute myocardial ischemia model in rat was made, which decreased S-T sigments in ECG.Luotai after intravenous injection or oral can protect against S-T sigment significant reduction and ∑ST after ISO induced acute myocardial ischemia .Results Luotai 50 mg?kg-1 and 100 mg?kg-1 significantly inhibited S-T sigment decreases. Conclusion Luotai protect ISO induced acute myocardial ischemia and has dose-dependent effect. This ISO-induced acute myocardial ischemia model in rat has some significant advantages, for example, higher stability, good duplication, quickly filtrates, easily masters.

The paper described the rationality of traditional and modern application of prepared decoction pieces of herbal medicine on basis of application, statistics and comparison analysis of three forms of drugs of traditional Chinese herbal pieces prepared for decoction, prepared decoction pieces in small packing and granules; and illustrated different opinions correlative to the three forms of drugs; put forward the counter-measures and proposals for the problems facing the traditional Chinese herbal pieces for decoction; the paper stated clearly that the traditional Chinese herbal pieces for decoction should not be replaced, instead, the viewpoint and the reasons on its application must be holding on; and the trend of development and expectations of the Chinese herbal pieces for decoction were predicted as well.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2004;22(3):204-206
OBJECTIVETo analyse the clinical and pathological characteristics of minor salivary gland tumors.
METHODSA retrospective analysis on 615 cases of intraoral minor salivary gland tumors from 1990-2002 with a confirmed pathologic diagnosis was carried out.
RESULTSIn 615 cases of minor salivary gland tumors, 265 cases were benign, 350 cases malignant. Pleomorphic adenoma was the most common entity and accounted for 81.1% of all benign tumors. Adenoid cystic carcinoma comprised 32.9% of the malignant sample and was the most frequent malignant tumor. The principal location was the palate. Female was a little more of the benign and a male prevalence was observed on the malignant tumor. The mean age of patients with benign and malignant tumors were 40.9 and 49.1 years old, respectively (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONWe consider extraordinary manifestation as histopathology, tumor, primary location, age and sex, presenting the results of a review of our experience with those minor salivary gland tumors.

OBJECTIVETo study the clinicopathological features and diagnostic criteria of Ewing's sarcoma/primitive neuroectodermal tumor (Ewing's sarcoma/PNET) in oral and maxillofacial region.
METHODSThere were 15 patients with Ewing's sarcoma/PNET in the last 35 years at our hospital, aged 1-49 years and mean 14.5 years. The most common manifestation was swelling of the affected region. The cases were analyzed and histological and immunohistochemical studies were also conducted to examine CD99 (12E7), Vimentin, NSE, S-100, Syn, CD45 (LCA), desmin.
RESULTS(1) The most common histological pattern of Ewing's sarcoma/PNET was a lobular arrangement of uniform, small, hyperchromatic cells in a fibrous background. Some of these tumors were rich in cytoplasmic glycogen. (2) Of the 7 cases, IHC was positive for CD99 (12E7) and Vimentin and negative for lymphoid (CD45), muscle (desmin) markers. S-100 was positive in 4 cases and NSE negative in 3, Syn positive in 1. NSE, S-100, Syn were all negative in 2 cases.
CONCLUSIONSEwing's sarcoma/PNET is more common in teenagers and young people. Immunohistochemistry is essential to distinguish Ewing's sarcoma/PNET from other small round cell tumors. Immunohistochemistry is useful in the diagnosis.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2010;28(6):680-683
Tumors of synchronous benign and malignant in unilateral salivary glands have rarely been reported. A case of 21-year-old girl who was diagnosed as synchronously adenoid cystic carcinoma of the left parotid and pleomorphic adenoma of the left submandibular gland. The classification, clinic pathology, diagnosis, possible mechanism were discussed based on similar literatures.

West China Journal of Stomatology 2007;25(2):115-117
OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of FAK on biological characteristics of tongue squamous cell carcinoma cell Tca8113.
METHODSLipofect was used to transfect FAK into Tca8113 cell lines. The difference in expression of FAK between the transfected and non-transfected cell lines was detected by immunofluorescence assay. Then by use of transwell room and wash way, the difference in invasion and adhesion ability between the transfected and non-transfected cell lines was tested. MTT method was adopted in finding the change of proliferation.
RESULTSRT-PCR analysis showed that the FAK gene was downregulated by Tca8113 cells. FAK expression was significantly down regulated by the transfection of FAK ASODN (P<0.05). Antisense FAK ODN significantly inhibited proliferation, adhesion and the invasion of Tca8113 cells.
CONCLUSIONFAK plays an important role on biological characteristics of tongue squamous cell carcinoma cell Tca8113.
