Objective To evaluate the anti-tumour effect of 60℃ LipiodoI in the embolization of VX_2 hepatocarcinoma in rabbits.Methods VX_2 carcinoma cells were surgically implanted into the left liver lobe in 30 male New Zealand white rabbits,which were randomly divided into 3 groups by figure and table method with 10 rabbits in each group.Physiological saline,Lipiodol(37℃),and Lipiodol(60℃)were injected in each group via hepatic artery and liver cancer was embolized.The volume of tumour and serum level of aspartate aminotransferase(AST)were observed after one week,and the survival period of VX_2 rabbits was also observed.Results In the group of Lipiodol(60℃),the growth rate of tumour(0.92? 0.21)was significantly lower than that of control group(3.48?1.17)and Lipiodol(37℃)groups (1.69?0.26),respectively(F=34.95,P0.05),but was significantly higher than the control group(68.6?6.6)U/L(t=19.24,P

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the impact of closed high-pressure suction drainage on the healing of the perineal wound after abdominoperineal resection.

METHODSPatients undergoing rectal abdominoperineal resection in the Wuhan Tongji Hospital from January 2009 to January 2011 were randomized into two groups including the study group(n=61, closed high-pressure suction drainage) and the control group(n=59, presacral drainage). The drainage volume, primary healing rate, and the healing time of perineal wounds were compared.

RESULTSThe total volume of the drainage in the first 3 days was (448.1±142.9) ml in the study group and (548.3±190.6) ml in the control group, the volume of the drainage on the third day was (28.1±12.7) ml and (125.9±84.3) ml respectively. The primary healing rate was 93.4%(57/61) in the study group and 74.6% (44/59) in the control group, the healing time was (13.5±3.5) days and (20.1±5.1) days respectively.

CONCLUSIONClosed high-pressure suction drainage may promote perineal wound healing following rectal abdominoperineal resection.

Guanylate-binding protein 1 (GBP1) is an interferon induced protein, that belongs to the guany late-binding protein family. GBP1 is widely involved in anti-infection immune responses, anti-tumor activity and various biological reactions. Recent studies have proved that IFN-alpha, IFN-beta, IFN-gamma, IL1alpha, IL1beta, TNF-alpha and LPS can induce GBP1 expression; hence, the diverse biological functions of GBP1 have been gradually deduced and exploited. Many studies have been performed over recent years to understand the exact mechanisms that underlie the anti-infection and anti-tumor properties of GBP1. This review describes the molecular structure, biological activity, anti-infective properties and other functions of GBP1, in order to provide insights into the divergent roles of GBP1 in the regulation of various biological processes.

Objective To investigate the positive rates of food allergen (fx5),mixed molds (mx1),phadiatop and house dust mites (d1) allergen-specific serum immunoglobulin E(sIgE) in children with asthma or cough variant asthma (CVA).Their age distribution characte-ristics were also compared and analysed.Methods Blood samples of 597 asthmatic children aging from 6 months to 16 years old were applied to fx5,mx1,pha-diatop and d1 test by using fluoroenzyme-immunometricassay,UniCAP100.The positive rate of fx5,mx1,phadiatop and d1 were compared.Age distribution characteristics of children with positive sIgE were analysed.Results 1.The positive rate of fx5,mx1,pha-diatop and d1 were 34.6%,30.0%,35.2% and 23.5%,respectively.2.The highest positive rate of phadiatop and d1 were highest in children of 6-16 age group(67.8% and 46.3%);The positive rate of fx5,mx1 peaked in children of 2 years and 5 years separately(44.1% and 53.6%);3.Among 181 children with mx1 positivity 90 cases manifested phadiatop negativity.4.Sixty-five percent of children with clinically diagnosed asthma or CVA presented positivity in test in fx5,mx1 or phadiatop at least.Conclusions Two thirds asthma and CVA patients exist sIgE.Asthmatic infants mainly manifest food allergen sensitization.The positive of phadiatop increased with age.Positivity of mx1 increased with age ≤5 years old in children,and it decreases in older children(≥6 years old).Mx1 is one of the main allergens in asthmatic children.

Objective To explore the practical ways on establishing fine course of oral and maxillofacial surgery effectively. Methods Relying on the advantages of the discipline,great efforts had been made in step-by-step enhancement of the quality of teachers,teaching contents,teaching methods and administration. Results Through the establishing of fine course,we could improve the curriculum system,enhance the force of education team,and improve the quality of education. Conclusion Establishing fine course of oral and maxillofacial surgery depends on the environment of sharing educational resources,adjusting the curriculum system and establishing an excellent educational team.
