Objective To evaluate the efficacy of intravenous recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide in acute anterior myocardial infarction complicated with heart failure. Methods Two hundred patients suffered from acute anterior myocardial infarction complicated with heart failure were randomly divided into two groups:rhBNP group ( n =100) and control group ( n =100 ).All patients were given conventional treatment, patients in rhBNP group were given rhBNP on the basis of conventional therapy. The clinical effectiveness including the improvement of cardiac function, cardiac ultrasound data, the incidence of hospital adverse cardiac events, and six month follow-up were compared between the two groups. Results The degree of decompensation and Killip class in rhBNP group were better than those of control group after treatment ( improved dyspnea:significantly improved:36 vs 27 ; improved:49 vs 46; no improvement:11 vs 20 ; deterioration:4 vs 7 ; Ridit value:0.4618 vs 0.5382,P =0.043) ( Killip class:significantly improved:26 vs 20; improved:56 vs 45; no improvement:14 vs 25 ; deterioration:4 vs 10; Ridit value:0.4553 vs 0.5447,P =0.017 ).After treatment for one week,The LVEF improvement in rhBNP group was more remarkable than that of control group ( [ 53.0 ± 5.2 ] %vs.[ 50.0 ±:6.2 ] %,P =0.014).The occurrence rate of angina ( 13.0% vs.27.0%,P =0.013 ),heart failure ( 18.0% vs.32.0%,P =0.022) and major adverse cardiac events(MACE) ( 17.0% vs.30.0%,P =0.030) inrhBNP group was lower than that in control group.During 6 months follow-up period,event-free survival in rhBNP group was higher than that in control group ( 69.0% vs.55.0%,P =0.041 ).Conclusion Transvenous injection of rhBNP combined with other routine treatment can improve cardiac function in patients with myocardial infarction in acute anterior myocardial infarction. It can also decrease adverse cardiac events during hospitalization and increase event-free survival in 6 months follow-up period.

Resveratrol, isorhapontigenin and pinosylvin, isolated from Gnetum parvifolium, and their analogues have been synthesized and tested for their inhibitory activity of HIV-1. Natural product 12a and analogues (12d, 12e, 12g) display significant inhibitory activity of HIV-1 replication. Among them, compound 12d (trans-3, 4, 5, 4'-tetrahydroxystilbene) exhibits the most potent anti-HIV-1 activity with an IC50 value of 1.84 micromol x L(-1).

Sepsis is the systemic inflammatory respond syndrome and autoimmunity injury caused by pathogenic microorganism or any other immunogenicity.Mitochondria,an important organelle, which has an essential role in cellular growth, metabolism, occurrence and development of disease by generating ATP following the oxidative phosphorylation from glycolysis. There had been some progresses on the research of sepsis in several decades.A number of studies had shown that the degree of mitochondrial dysfunction was related to the eventual outcome of sepsis.microRNA are endogenous small noncoding RNAs that post-transcriptionally regulate gene and bio-protein expression, and then adjust mitochondrial oxidative stress, has important influence on the process of sepsis and prognosis. Here,a current review of how microRNA impinge on mitochondrial dysfunction in sepsis was performed.

Aim To investigate the efficacy of arctigenin on airway inflammation in a mouse model of asthma and the mechanism related to the SIRT1/NLRP3 signaling pathway. Methods Forty female BALB/c mice of clean grade were selected and divided into control group, OVA model group and ATG group (5, 10 and 20 mg · kg

The study is to investigate the effect of glaucocalyxin A (GLA) on mast cell-mediated anaphylaxis. The animal welfare and experimental process of this experiment followed the regulations of the Animal Ethics Committee of Yanbian University. BALB/c mice were used in the animal experiment and randomly divided into five groups, control group, model group, and GLA low, medium, and high dose groups (10, 20, and 40 mg·kg-1). Mice were sensitized by intradermal injection of anti-dinitrophenyl-immunoglobulin E (DNP-IgE) into the ears and challenged with a mixture of DNP-human serum albumin (HSA) and 4% evans blue into the tail veins to prepare an animal skin passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) model, which was collected from both ears for measurement of dye staining and histology. Rat peritoneal mast cells (RPMCs) were used in the cell experiment and divided into control, IgE + antigen (Ag), and IgE + Ag + GLA groups to determine histamine release as well as calcium influx levels. High-affinity IgE receptor (Fc

Agarwood is a traditional and precious medicinal material and natural spice in China and other southeast Asian countries. As the head of all spices, agarwood has many pharmacological activities such as analgesia,antidiarrheal,anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. Due to its high price and scarce resources, there were just a few previous studies on it,mainly focusing on the chemical compositions of the agarwood essential oil and solvent extract mixture. The components of agarwood oils obtained by supercritical extraction and steam distillation were analyzed by using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometer( GC-MS),and then the agarwood oils compositions and contents were compared between the traditional extraction method and the recently emerging supercritical extraction method. Antioxidant experiments of scavenging DPPH,ABTS,hydroxyl radical, total reducing power and MIC experiments of five kinds of tester strains such as staphylococcus aureus were combined to illustrate the differences between these two kinds of agarwood oils in terms of antioxidant and bacteriostatic activities. The results showed that the main components of agarwood oil were sesquiterpenoids( 68. 68%) in steam distillation extraction method, but sesquiterpenoids( 23. 78%) and chromones( 29. 42%) in supercritical extraction method. Fourteen common components included benzyl acetone,α-santalol,γ-eudesmol,agarospirol and guaiol etc. The antioxidant activity and inhibitory MIC of agarwood oils in supercritical extraction method were better than those in steam distillation method, and the inhibitory effect of agarwood oil on the growth of bacillus subtilis was found for the first time.
