Objective To observe the expression of various antibodies on resection specimens with Hirschsprung's disease(HD), and to find out a special antibody to help the diagnosis of HD. Methods Neuron specific enolase(NSE),S100, Cathepsin D (CAD), Peripherin, protein gene prosuct 9. 5(PGP9. 5) were used as the first antibody to do the EnVision immunohistochemical staining on each end of the resection specimens with HD. Results PGP9.5, NSE, Peripherin were positive both in neuroganglion cells and neuro-plexus in the submucosa and intermuscule; S100 was positive in neutoplexus but negative in neuroganglion cells in the submucosa and intermuscule; CAD was positive in neuroganglion but negative in neuroplexus cells in the submucosa and intermuscule. Conclusion Compared with the other antibodies,CAD is a special antibody which may help the diagnosis of HD; CAD staining results is easy to judge, and it is more faster and economic.

Objective To understand the acute effect of ambient air CO pollution on daily mortality of cerebrocardiovascular diseases among highly and long-term exposed residents of 65 years and over in Taiyuan,Shanxi,China. Methods The relationship of CO concentration and daily mortality of cerebrocardiovascular diseases among residents over 65 years old in Taiyuan(2003-2004) was analyzed by case-crossover design and conditional Logistic regression in SAS 9.0 Results The 48 h accumulated CO concentration had the most significant effect. As increment of CO average was 100 ?g/m~3,the corresponding OR of the effect on the total deaths of the cerebrocardiovascular diseases, the cardiac disease, the ischemic heart disease, myocardial infarction, cardiac failure, arrhythmia and stroke was 1.006,1.010,1.007,1.005,1.005,1.006 and 1.012 respectively.Under different air pollution conditions, the pollutant presented different effects on deaths of eerebrocardiovascular diseases. Conclusion The current CO pollution has caused a certain adverse effect on the cerebrocardiovascular mortality among residents of 65 years and over in Taiyuan city.More stringent measures should be taken to control the air pollution and decrease CO level, thus reduce the mortality of cerebrocardiovascular diseases.

BACKGROUND:Due to the differences of sport events and individual metabolic characteristics of athletes, it is difficult to establish uniform biological indexes for training monitoring. Current individual evaluation is a longitudinal analysis relying on experience or numerical variation width, which is less objective.OBJECTIVE: To explore the individual function assessment and monitoring by monitoring blood biochemical indexes and brain function indexes in elite gymnasts, in order to accurately reflect the body changes resulting from training loads. METHODS:Thirty gymnasts from the Chinese national gymnastics team preparing for London Olympic Games were enroled in this study and monitored from the last winter training until the London Olympic Games. The blood biochemical indicators and brain function indicators were measured and assessed individually according to according to the principle of quality control (alert value=mean±SD, and controled variable=mean±2SD). RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Under the relatively uniform test conditions, it is feasible to individualy assess the blood biochemical and brain function indexes of elite gymnasts in accordance with the principle of quality control, which is more accurate and objective to reflect the body changes under training load and the current state of athletes. In addition, the combined monitoring of blood biochemical indexes and brain function indexes is more comprehensive to evaluate the body function and status of elite gymnasts.
