Objective To study the association between clinical symptoms,psychosomatic factors and autonomic nervous function in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).Methods Thirty-four patients with GERD diagnosed by reflux disease questionnaire (RDQ) and endoscopy and 15 healthy control subjects were enrolled in this study.All the subjects were divided into two groups,one with normal scores of Zung's self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and Zung's depression scale (SDS) as GERD (-) and the other with abnormal scores of SAS and SDS as GERD (+).Reflux symptom score was recorded for both groups at the same time.Autonomic nervous function was assessed by their heart rate variability (HRV) on dynamic electrocardiogram (DCG).The time domain parameters analyzed included standard deviation (SD) of average R-R interval during 24 hours (SDNN),SD of average 5-minute sinus heart rate (SDANN),mean square root of the difference of adjoining two R-R interval (rMSSD),and proportion of the heart beats with difference of R-R interval more than 50 ms from the total heart beats (PNN 50),and the frequency domain parameters analyzed included low-frequency (LF),high-frequency (HF) and ratio of LF to HF.Results Average scores of SAS and SDS were significantly higher in patients with GERD than those in healthy controls (48?9 vs 38?6 and 48?11 vs 41?6,respectively,P

AIM: To analyze the results of phacovitrectomy with internal limiting membrane(ILM) peeling to treat foveoschisis in ultra-high myopia.METHODS: Totally 32 eyes of 32 ultra-high myopia patients with foveoschisis were selected retrospectively.The preoperative refractive errors ranged from-12.00D to-20.00D with the mean of-15.78±2.16D.The best corrected visiual acuity(BCVA) were converted to LogMAR acuity, and the average BCVA was 4.1±0.4.Conventional phacovitrectomy with ILM peeling by ICG dying were performed.Gas tamponade were performed to end the operation.The BCVA and the foveoschisis cavity were observed by 1-9mo after the surgery, with the mean of 4.5mo.RESULTS: The foveoschisis cavity of 30 eyes were healed with BCVA increased and visual distortion alleviated distinctly (94%)(t=-7.91, P<0.05).CONCLUSION: Phacovitrectomy with ILM peeling is useful in treating foveoschisis in ultra-high myopia with visual function preserving.
7.Evaluation of IVF-ET outcome by measuring the level of NO, VEGF and ET-1 in follicular fluid

Objective To investigate the level of follicular fluid NO, VEGF and ET-1 in assessing IVF-ET outcome. Methods Totally 131 patients undergoing IVF-ET cycles were recruited. The level of follicular fluid NO was measured by chromatometry. The follicular fluid VEGF and ET-1 were measured by ELISA. Transvaginal ultrasound was performed on human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) injection day to determine ovarian volume and antral follicle count. Results The pregnancy rate was 37.40% (49/131). There were significantly increased level of follicular fluid NO, VEGF and decreased level of follicular fluid ET-1 in the pregnant group than those in the non-pregnant group (P<0.05). Total ovarian volume and antral follicle count on HCG injection day were significantly higher in the pregnant group than those in the non-pregnant group (P<0.05). The levels of follicular fluid NO and VEGF had positive correlations with the total ovarian volume and antral follicle count. However, the level of follicular fluid ET-1 had a negative correlation with the total ovarian volume and antral follicle count. Conclusions The high level of NO, VEGF and low level of ET-1 in follicular fluid are good predictors of ovarian blood flow and ovarian response in IVF-ET.
8.Paradoxical devation of senna adiponectin and its relationship with the level of serum leptin in preeclampsia

Objective To investiagte the serum adiponectin concentration in preeclampsia and its relationship with serum leptin and soluble leptin receptor levels.Method The level of adiponectin,leptin and soluble leptin receptor in serum were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)in 38 patients with preeclampsia and 42 patients as control.The relationship of free leptin index(leptin/soluble leptin receptor) to preeclampsia was analyzed.Results There were no significant differences in maternal age,gestational age and body mass index(BMI)between two groups.But the gestational age and birth weight were significantly lower in preeclampsia than in control.The patients with preeclampsia had significantly higher levels of serum adiponectin, leptin and free leptin index(1691.7?g/ml,37.5 ng/ml and 0.95 respectively)than the control(689.4?g/ml, 19.3 ag/ml and 0.49,respectively).But there was no significant difference in serum level of soluble leptin receptor between the groups(35.0 ng/ml vs 42.2 ng/ml).Serum adiponectin was not significantly correlated with the level of leptin,soluble leptin receptor and free leptin index.Area of serum adiponectin,leptin and free leptin index in preeclampsia under the ROC curve were less than 0.5.Conclusions The patients with preeclampsia have paradoxical higher serum levels of adiponecfin and more bioavailability of leptin,suggesting these may be important factom of this complication.
9. Application of nanotechnology in immunotherapy of cancer: An advance

[Abstract] In recent years, scientists have had a deeper understanding of the basic principles of tumor biology and immunology, and immunotherapy for cancer has made great progresses, greatly promoting the development of a series of new immunotherapy drugs for cancer. Cancer immunotherapy aims at eliminating cancer cells by stimulating and coordinating the immune system. However, the promotion and application of cancer immunotherapy are limited because of the uncertain safety and effectiveness of immune regulatory compound delivery. Due to its unique advantages, such as good targeting, less adverse events, and good stability, various nano-targeted delivery systems with different physical and chemical properties have been developed to stimulate the immune system in anti-tumor therapy. In this review, we summed up the research progresses of nanotechnology combined with immunotherapy for cancer in recent years.
10.E-cadherin associated protein expression and its significance in invasive lobular carcinoma and invasive ductal carcinoma of breast

Objective To study E-cadherin associated proteins α-、β-、γ-catenin expression and their significance in invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) and invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) of breast. Methods Immunohistochemistry staining (labeled streptavidin-biotin method) was used to detect α-、β-、γ-catenin expression in invasive breast carcinoma (19 cases of ILC and 32 cases of IDC ). Results The loss and reduction rate of α-、β-、γ-catenin expression in ILC was 78.9% (15 cases),52.6%(10 cases) and 84.2%(16 cases), respectively. The rate of α-、β-、γ-catenin expression showing loss and reduction in IDC was 75.0%(24 cases),43.8%(14 cases) and 81.3%(26 cases), respectively. The staining intensity of α-、β-、γ-catenin expression in invasive carcinoma of breast was weaker than that in foci of carcinoma in situ (semiquantitative grading). There was a positive relationship between the expression of α-catenin and β-catenin in invasive breast carcinoma. No significant association was seen between reduced protein expression of α-、β-、γ-catenin and the development of lymph node metastasis. Conclusion α-、β-、γ-catenin expression was almost identical in ILC and IDC of breast, showing significant loss and reduction of protein expression in the carcinoma cells of invasive breast carcinoma, suggesting that α-、β-、γ-catenin may lose their normal adherent ability in the pathogenesis of invasive breast carcinoma.
