1.Effect of exogenous sucrose on growth and active ingredient content of licorice seedlings under salt stress conditions.
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(22):4384-4388
Licorice seedlings were taken as experimental materials, an experiment was conducted to study the effects of exogenous sucrose on growth and active ingredient content of licorice seedlings under NaCl stress conditions. The results of this study showed that under salt stress conditions, after adding a certain concentration of exogenous sucrose, the licorice seedlings day of relative growth rate was increasing, and this stress can be a significant weakening effect, indicating that exogenous sucrose salt stress-relieving effect. The total flavonoids and phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) activity were significantly increased, the exogenous sucrose can mitigated the seedling roots under salt stress, the licorice flavonoid content in the enhanced growth was largely due to the activity of PAL an increased, when the concentration of exogenous sucrose wae 10 mmol x L(-1), PAL activity reaching a maximum, when the concentration of exogenous sucrose was 15 mmol x L(-1), PAL activity turned into a downward trend, the results indicating that this mitigation has concentration effect. After applying different concentrations of exogenous sugar, the contents of liquiritin changes with the change of flavonoids content was similar. After applying different concentrations of exogenous sucrose, the content of licorice acid under salt stress was higher than the levels were not reached during salt stress, the impact of exogenous sucrose concentration gradient of licorice acid accumulation was not obvious.

Chinese Circulation Journal 2001;16(1):8-9
Objective:To observe the characteristics of 24 hour ambulatory electrocardiogram in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation (AF) and optimal ventricular rate control. Methods:Holter monitoring was performed in 122 hospitalized patients, aged 17—85 (mean 51.57±11.94) years, with organic heart disease and chronic AF (New York Heart Association functional class Ⅱ-Ⅲ) in whom the ventricular rate were well-controlled by digoxin.Maximum, minimum and mean ventricular rates, the number of ventricular pauses of >1.5 second, and the longest ventricular pauses during the monitoring were recorded.Follow-up data were collected in 72 patients. Results:The mean, fastest and lowest ventricular rates over 24 hours were 78.53±8.12(65—90),143.79±28.85(90-183) and 51.04±7.52(34—71) bpm, respectively.Bradycardia of less than 50 and 45 bpm occurred in 62 and 32 of the 122 patients, respectively.Ventricular pauses of more than 1.5 and 3.0 seconds were noted in 95 and 14 of the 122 patients, respectively. The longest ventricular pause was 2.38±0.55(4.64—1.60) seconds.During follow-up,there were no worsening in these patients. Conclusion:Ventricular pauses at rest and nocturnal bradycardia were common in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation who had ventricular rates controlled. The dosage of digoxin should not be changed, nor pacemaker insertion is needed.

A new chromene (1) and six known compounds identified as 6-hydroxymellein (2), 6-hydroxy-5-methylmellein (3) nectriapyrone (4), chermesinone A(5), chermesinone B(6), and pomopxanthone A(7), were isolated in our investigation of the cytotoxic constituents from the fermented rice substrate of endophytic fungus Phomopsis sp. HCCB03519. The structures of these com pounds were elucidated through spectroscopic data analysis. All compounds exhibited inhibitory activities against cancer cell lines. Compound 7 showed stronger inhibition against cancer cells than the positive control 5-Fu.

4.Advance in research on dengue virus infection and replication
Bulletin of The Academy of Military Medical Sciences 2001;25(1):62-66,76
Dengue (DEN) virus is a member of the family flaviviridae which consists of a group of enveloped viruses with a single-stranded positive-sense RNA genome. DEN virus infection is initiated by the binding of envelope protein E to cellular receptor, followed by replication in cytoplasm which associated with a range of induced membrane structures. Further characterization of the DEN replication complex (RC) showed the involvement of NS1, NS2A, NS3, NS4A, and NS5 proteins as the viral replicase. The DEN virion maturation is associated with the cleavage of precursor of protein C by NS2B/NS3 protease and the glucosylase-mediated N-linked oligosaccharide trimming of prM, E protein. This review summarizes recent advance in research on DEN virus life cycle, emphasizing cellular receptor, RNA replication and virion assembly.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(44):7163-7166
BACKGROUND:3D printing technology for preoperative planning has been a trend at present. Moreover, this technology has been extensively used in bone tumor resection and maxilofacial surgery, but seldom used in fracture repair. OBJECTIVE: To explore the value of 3D printing technology application in preoperative evaluation of pelvic fracture, planning and during surgery. METHODS:Pelvic fracture patients underwent preoperative CT scan. Pelvic models of the patients were printed using 3D printing technology at 1:1. Preoperative processing was conducted, including choice of approach, design of incision exposure range, design of fracture reduction, pre-implantation position of the steel plate, optimal plastic design of steel plate, measurement of screw length and design of screw direction. Matta score of pelvic fracture reduction and Majeed score of pelvic function after repair were measured during folow-up. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:The operation time was 55-130 minutes, averagely (84.75±20.15) minutes. Intraoperative blood loss was 200-800 mL, averagely (417.00±173.58) mL. After operation, no incision infection, fracture nonunion, fixator loosening or breakage appeared. Al patients were folowed up for 8-24 months. The fracture healing time was 10-16 weeks, averagely 12.5 weeks. Fracture reduction was assessed according to Matta scoring: excelent in 15 cases, good in 3 cases, average in 2 cases, and poor in 0 case, with an excelent and good rate of 90%. Postoperative function was assessed according to Majeed scoring: excelent in 13 cases, good in 5 cases, average in 2 cases, and poor in 0 case, with an excelent and good rate of 90%. These findings showed that the application of 3D printing technology in pelvic fracture can determine the fracture’s displacement, is helpful for accurate reduction and plate modeling, reduces surgery duration and intraoperative blood loss and complication, finaly achieves better surgical result. 3D printing technology can better evaluate and plan the pelvic fracture before repair, and can be used as a routine project preparation of pelvic fracture repair.

Interim fluorine 1 8 fluorodeoxyglucose (1 8 F-FDG)positron emission tomography (PET) integrated with computed tomography (CT) provides both metabolic and morphologic information, which becomes one of the most sensitive tools to evaluate the efficacy of the therapy and predict the prognosis of patients with lymphoma.Meanwhile,it is the basis for guiding trial design and changing clinical practice.How-ever,it is still a controversial issue in the ideal utilization of interim 1 8 F-FDG PET-CT imaging for the patients with lymphoma.
