1.Application of Respiratory Index and Oxygenation Index Dynamic Monitoring in Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(14):-
Objective To explore the clinical value of respiratory index(RI) and oxygenation index(OI)dynamic monitoring in neonatal respiratory distress syndrome(NRDS) during mchanical ventilation. Methods According to prognosis,24 newborns with NRDS who had not be treated with pulmonary surfactant in NICU of Chengdu maternal and child health hospital from Dec.2006 to Nov.2007 were divided into 2 groups. There were 16 newborns in survival group and 8 newborns in death group. The changes of RI,OI,p(A-a)(O2) and pa(O2) were stu-died at 2,24,48 h after using of synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation and before ventilation weaning. Results In the early periods, there were significant differences in RI,OI and p(A-a)(O2) between the survival group and the death group(t=2.47,2.62,3.01 Pa

This study is to investigate the protective effect of mangiferin on NF-kappaB (P65) and IkappaBalpha expression in peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) in rats with cigarette smoke induced chronic bronchitis. The rat model with chronic bronchitis was established by cigarette smoke. Real-time fluorescence RT-PCR was executed for evaluating the NF-kappaB (P65) and IKkappaBalpha gene expression in mononuclear cell, and flow cytometry for their protein expression. The serum hs-CRP (high-sensitivity C-reactive proteins) and TNF-alpha (tumor necrosis factor-alpha) were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The histopathological score was obtained from lung tissue HE staining slides of lung tissue. The results showed that mangiferin could markedly suppress the NF-kappaB (P65) mRNA and protein expression in mononuclear cell, while promote the IkappaBalpha mRNA and protein expression. Furthermore, mangiferin could lower serum hs-CRP and TNF-alpha level, and reduce the chronic inflammatory damage of bronchiole. These results suggested that mangiferin could notably ameliorate chronic bronchiole inflammation induced by cigarette smoke, and this protective effect might be linked to the regulation of NF-kappaB (P65) and IkappaBalpha expression in mononuclear cell.

Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2008;23(4):276-278
Objective To investigate the effect of radical surgical excision of total cyst for hepatic cystic echinoccosis. Methods During six years,86 patients with hepatic cystic echinococcosis were treated by radical surgical excision of the total cyst.Hospital stay, abdominal drainage time, residual cavity drainage, accumulated liquid in residual cavity, residual cavity infection and recurrence were compared with that in 90 cases receiving internal capsule extirpation. Results Radical surgical excision of total cyst for hepatic cystic echinococcosis is safe and very effective, the average hospital stay was significant shorter(P<0.001)and there was no significant complications such as billiay fistula, residual cavity infection, accumulated liquid of residual cavity and recurrence of hydatid cyst. Conclusion Radical surgical excision of total cyst is an ideal and new therapeutic method for the treatment of hepatic cystic eehinococcosis.

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Ba-pulling and Qian-traction manipulation with neck suspension and movement for acute cervical radiculopathy. Methods: A total of 85 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomized into an observation group and a control group by random numbers, with 43 cases in the observation group and 42 cases in the control group. The observation group was treated with Ba-pulling and Qian-traction manipulation with neck suspension and movement;while the control group was treated with Bashen-pulling and stretching manipulation in a supine position. The treatment was performed once a day, 10 times as a treatment course. The therapeutic efficacy was evaluated after 1 treatment course, and the changes in the scores of visual analog scale (VAS) and neck disability index (NDI) were observed. Results: The total effective rate was 97.7% in the observation group, and 83.3% in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the VAS and NDI scores of both groups were significantly decreased (both P<0.01), and the differences in the VAS and NDI scores between the two groups were statistically significant (both P<0.01). Conclusion: Both Ba-pulling and Qian-traction manipulation with neck suspension and movement and Bashen-pulling and stretching manipulation in a supine position can relieve pain and improve cervical function in patients with acute cervical radiculopathy, and Ba-pulling and Qian-traction manipulation with neck suspension and movement can produce more significant efficacy than Bashen-pulling and stretching manipulation in a supine position.
