Objective To investigate HIV infection via sex in Xinjiang,in order to provide guidance for the formulation of strategy to control and prevent sexual transmission of HIV.Methods Vistiors to 15 STD clinics in 5 cities of Xinjiang were asked to take blood and to be tested for HIV and RPR.At the same time,medical workers carried out the designed investigation.Result A total of 2 499 STD outpatients were investigated,among whom 28 samples were confirmed to be HIV positive and 145 samples were RPR positive;the infection rate was 1.12% and 5.80%,respectively,with male being 0.97% and female being 1.37% in the positive samples.The Han nationality had 8 HIV positive samples,and the Uygur nationality had 20 positive samples,with the positive rate being 0.44% and 3.49%,respectively.The Han nationality had 66 and the uygur had 79 in RPR positive samples,the positive rate being 3.66% and 13.79%,respectively.In 212 cases of syphilis 4 samples were HIV positive,the infection rate being 1.89%;in 420 cases of GU 10 samples were HIV positive,the infection rate being 2.38%.Our behavioral surveys found that those who 100% used condoms in their sex activities were free of HIV infection,while those who never used condoms had a high ratee of infection,up to 2.77%.Conclusion Sex transmission is becoming an important route of spreading HIV infection in Xinjiang,and therefore it is essential to strengthen serological and behavioral surveillance for high risk population and implement effective interventions for them.

Objectives: To investigate the effects of adhesion and proliferation of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in the surface of lactic acid/glycolic acid/asparagic acid-co-polyethylene glycol PLGA-[ASP-PEG] tri-block polymer scaffolds, try to find a new biomaterial to induce seed cells in vitro for bone tissue engineering. Methods: Modified PLGA with polyethylene glycol (PEG) and asparagic acid (ASP) that has many ligands, and synthesis PLGA-[ASP-PEG] polymer material. BMSCs were cultured in PLGA-[ASP-PEG] polymer material and PLGA used as control group. Through precipitation method, MTT assay and total cellular protein detection to test the adhersion and proliferation of BMSCs. Scanning electron microscope is used to observe cells appearance. Results: BMSCs on the surface of PLGA-[ASP-PEG] polymer scaffolds are adherention to the culture flask, the number of cells is much higher than PLGA’s. Objective To study the effect of dexmedetomidine and midazolam on hemodynamics and sedation in patients with nasal intubation.Methods Forty patients whose ASA grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ and anticipated difficult airway were randomly divided into dexmedetomidine group(group D,20 cases)and midazolam group(group M,20 cases)according to the admission number.In group D,dexmedetomidine 1 μ g/kg were constant speed pumped in 10 minutes.In group M,midazolam 0.03 mg/kg were intravenous injected.Then nasal intubation were carried.Systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP),mean arterial blood pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR),pulse oxygen saturation(SpO2),Ramsay sedation score,rate-pressure product(RPP),tip perfusion index(TPI)were recorded and compared before anesthesia (T0),fiberoptic bronchoscope pass by later nostril(T1),to spy on epiglottis(T2),intubation succeed(T3),after intubation 1 minute(T4)and after intubation 3 minutes(T5).Airway score and postoperative visit were evaluated.Results SBP,DBP,MAP,HR,RPP in group M were significantly higher at T1-T3 than those at T0 (P＜0.05),and were significantly higher than those in group D at the same time(P＜ 0.05).There was no significant difference in group D(P ＞ 0.05).Ramsay sedation score and TPI at T1-T3 in group M were significantly lower than those at To(P ＜0.05).Ramsay sedation score and TPI at T1-T5 in group D were significantly higher than those at T0(P ＜ 0.05),and were significantly higher than those in group M at the same time(P ＜ 0.05).The rate of airway score 1 score and intubation satisfaction in group D were significantly higher than those in group M[100％(20/20)vs.30％(6/20),90％(18/20)vs.50％(10/20)](P＜ 0.05).The rate of throat ache in group D was significantly lower than that in group M[5％(1/20)vs.35％(7/20)](P ＜0.05).Conclusions For difficult airway patients with nasal intubation during dexmedetomidine infusion,hemodynamics is stable and sedation is satisfied.

Objective To investigate the impact of prior cerebral infarction (PCI) on in-hospital mortality in patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI).MethodsA retrospective analysis of documents of a total of 3572 consecutive patients with AMI admitted to Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University from 2002 Jan.1 to 2009 Dec.31 were performed.Results There were 564 patients ( 15.8% )with PCI.Compared with the group of without PC1,the group with PCI were substantially older[(69.4 ±9.9) vs (64.2 ± 12.9)years,P =0.000],and had a higher prevalence of hypertensive disease,diabetes mellitus,prior myocardial infarction (MI) and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction(NSTEMI)( respectively,71.0% vs 57.3%; 41.0% vs 25.7%,12.9% vs 9.5%; 14.9% vs 10.7%,P ＜ 0.01 ),and a higher in-hospital mortality ( 16.5% vs 10.0%,P= 0.000).Univariate analysis demonstrated that in-hospital mortality associated with age,gender,extensive anterior MI,anterior MI,diabetes mellitus,prior cerebral infarction,prior myocardial infarction,coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention.Logistic regression analysis found that risk factors were age,extensive anterior MI,anterior MI,diabetes mellitus and prior cerebral infarction,and protective factors were coronary angiography and percutanous coronary intervention.PCI was independently associated with in-hospital mortality,OR 1.368,95% CI 1.047-1.787,P = 0.022.Conclusion In patients with acute myocardial infarction,the presence of PCI increases the risk of worse in-hospital outcome.

The present investigation was undertaken in order to select the surface-sterilization technique most efficient for eliminating epiphytes, to document endophytes of healthy tissues from Glaycyrrhiza inflat Bat. in Xinjiang. Surface sterilization with 5% commercial solution of sodium hypochlorite for 5 minutes was reaffirmed as adequate for removing epiphytes on licorice roots. From the 151 segments incubated, 149 bacterial isolates and 2 fungal isolates were obtained. From all the isolates, Bacterial isolates were identified by VITEK-AMS. Part of Bacteria were identified in 13 different genus. Fungal species were characterized as Penicillium sp. and Fusarium sp.with microscope.

In this paper, the number of rhizosphere and non-rhizosphere microbial organisms of fusarium wilt resistant and susceptible watermelon under soil culture and soilless substrate culture was studied by traditional culture methods. The results showed that, the number of rhizoshpere microorganisms was significantly higher than non-rhizosphere, and the number was changed with the stage of watermelon grow, the number was the lowest in seedling stage and increased with the watermelon grow, and achieved highest at the flowering and fruiting stage, decreased with the watermelon ageing. The fusarium wilt resistant of watermelon was correspondence with number of rhizosphere bacteria; the number of rhizosphere bacteria of resistant watermelon was higher than that of susceptible watermelon in each stage under soil culture and soilless culture. The fusarium wilt resistant of watermelon is no correspondence with number of rhizosphere fungi and actinomycete. The number of non-rhizosphere microbial organisms was changed in a small range in the whole growing stage. The non-rhizosphere bacteria have no significant change in the whole stage under soil culture and increased quickly under soilless substrate culture and decreased at the later stage. The non-rhizosphere fungi and actinomycete reached highest at the later stage under soil culture or soilless sub-strate culture.
