Estrogen receptor(ER),an important transcription factor belonging to the nuclear receptor superfamily, comprises two subtypes ER?and ER?.Estrogen receptor is expressed in prostate cancer and ladder cancer and has a compacted relationship with them.In this review,we summarized the structure,distri- bution, function of different estrogen receptor subtypes and progress in study on relationship between different estrogen receptor subtypes and prostate or bladder cancer.
3.Application of Respiratory Index and Oxygenation Index Dynamic Monitoring in Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(14):-
Objective To explore the clinical value of respiratory index(RI) and oxygenation index(OI)dynamic monitoring in neonatal respiratory distress syndrome(NRDS) during mchanical ventilation. Methods According to prognosis,24 newborns with NRDS who had not be treated with pulmonary surfactant in NICU of Chengdu maternal and child health hospital from Dec.2006 to Nov.2007 were divided into 2 groups. There were 16 newborns in survival group and 8 newborns in death group. The changes of RI,OI,p(A-a)(O2) and pa(O2) were stu-died at 2,24,48 h after using of synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation and before ventilation weaning. Results In the early periods, there were significant differences in RI,OI and p(A-a)(O2) between the survival group and the death group(t=2.47,2.62,3.01 Pa
4. Genetic alteration and expression of ING1 in human lung carcinoma
Tumor 2007;27(5):393-397
Objective: To detect the loss of heterozygosity (LOH) of ING1 gene microsatellite and the expression of p33ING1b protein in lung carcinoma and to investigate their association with the carcinogenesis of lung cancer. Methods: Seventy cases of fresh-frozen lung cancers and 217 cases formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded specimens were examined. The LOH frequency of ING1 gene microsatellite was detected by polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphisms (PCR-SSCP) method. The expression of p33ING1b protein was determined by immunohistochemical method and tissue microarray technology. Results: The total LOH frequency of four microsatellites of ING1 gene was 55.7% (39/70) in lung carcinomas. The LOH had higher frequency if it was closer to the ING1 locus. But the LOH frequency had no correlation with clinicopathological parameters. The total LOH frequency of p33ING1b protein was 47.0% (102/217) in lung carcinomas. The positivity of p33ING1b in squamous carcinoma was significantly higher than that in adenocarcinoma (AC), adenosquamous carcinoma (AdCa), and bronchioloalveolar carcinoma (BAC) (P <0.05), while there was no significant difference between AC, AdCa, and BAC. The expression of p33ING1b protein was not associated with the clinicopathological characteristics but a negative correlation with LOH frequency was observed (P <0.05). Conclusion: There existes higher frequency of low expression or deletion of ING1 protein in lung carcinoma tissues. The LOH of ING1 gene microsatellites also have a higher frequency. LOH is one of the important reasons for the abnormal expression of ING1 gene, which causes the down-regulation of ING1 gene and inactivation of ING1 protein. Finally ING looses its inhibitory effect on the growth of tumor cells and results in carcinogenesis of lung cancer.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(22):-
Neonatal brain damage including hypoxia-ischemia encephalopathy(HIE) and intracranial haemorrhage, may cause adverse neurodevelopmental outcome such as cerebral palsy.Earlier diagnosis is very important for the treatment of brain damage. This review is to elucidate the relationship between imaging changes(CT,MRI and ultrasonography) and prognostic assessment, thus provide reference for clinicians, the objective is focus on imaging changes of HIE and intracranial haemorrhages, which are 3 of the most frequently reported cases.

Chinese Journal of Blood Transfusion 2001;0(06):-
Objective To investigate the clinical application of suspended red blood cells in Liuzhou,in order to make the transfusion of blood components more reasonable and safer. Methods Retrospective data were collected from 226 patients, who had received the transfusion of 980 units of suspended red blood cells between 2000 and 2006.Results Suspended red blood cells could be used widely to different kinds of patients, and most patients benefit from the treatment. The transfusion of leuko-reduced RBC was even more effective. The age, gender, category of disease, disease severity, hemoglobin level and the amount of transfusion were the key points that affect the therapeutic effect of transfusion.Traumatic hemorrhage was another important factor.Unreasonable clinical transfusion still exists. Conclusion Transfusion of suspended red blood cells is an effective treatment. But when and how to transfuse depend on individual cases.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2000;0(06):-
Objective: To evaluate the initial pain and influential factors in orthodontic treatment by VAS(visual analogue scales),and explore the way to alleviate the pain. Methods:107 subjects(47 male and 60 female) were selected. Following insertion of the first archwire (0.36 mm Chinese NiTi wire), visual analogue scale(VAS) was used to record the severity of pain at 4,12,24 h and on day 3,5,7. All the subjects were randomly divided into two groups by ligature with elastomeric rings (in 51 patients) or stainless steel wires (in 56 patients). In all the 107 patients, 30 people need to extract their tooth for relieving crowding while the other 77 were non-extraction cases. Results:No significant differences of pain were found between elastomeric rings ligature cases and stainless steel wires ligature cases at each stage; as well as between extraction and non-extraction cases. But the adults perceived more pain than the adolescents. Patients who were asked to chew gum or to do something (watching TV or listening to music) for distraction perceived less pain. The differences were statistically significant between different groups. Conclusion:The orthodontist should make a good communication with patient about initial pain before the orthodontic treatment, especially for adults.
