Objective To evaluate the value of peripheral blood neutrophil CD_(64) level for early diagnosis of neonatal septicemia. Methods Thirty-six cases of neonatal septicemia were recruited into the study according to diagnostic criteria for neonatal septicemia:white blood cell count,C-reactive protein(CRP),platelet count,micro-erythrocyte sedimentatio rate(mESR) and blood culture;26 cases of hospitalized neonates with non-infectious diseases were enrolled as controls. The level of peripheral blood neutrophil CD_(64) was measured by flow cytometry. Results The level of peripheral blood neutrophil CD_(64) in septicemia patients were(60.37?22.70)mean fluorescence intensity(MFI),which were significantly higher than that of control group(23.14?5.10)MFI(P

This study is to investigate the effect of Euphorbia humifusa effective fraction (EHEF) on the CYP51 enzyme activity, the lanosterol content and the MEP, SUB gene expression of Trichophyton rubrum. Trichophyton rubrum was treated by EHEF for 7 days at 26 degrees C. The activity of CYP51 enzyme of Trichophyton rubrum in the cell membrane was determined by using ELISA kit, and the lanosterol content was investigated by using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and the MEP, SUB gene expression of Trichophyton rubrum was detected with the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method. Results showed that EHEF can decrease the membrane CYP51 enzyme activity, and it also can accumulate the fungal lanosterol in a dose-dependent manner, and it also can decrease the gene expression of MEP and SUB. The antifungal mechanism of EHEF may be related to the inhibition on CYP51 enzyme activity, and to the effects on fungal cell membrane ergosterol biosynthesis. It may also play an antifungal effect by inhibiting the MEP, SUB gene expression of fungal proteases.

China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2015;28(3):286-290
How to remove the well fixed cement or cementless prosthesis and get a completely distal cement removal in the rTHR are critical to the outcome of revision. Because of higher rate of union, excellent intraoperative exposure, and adjustment of abductor tension, ETO has been widely applied to rTHR and complicated primary THR by foreign scholars. Furthermore, this technology has wide indications, very few contraindications, high cure rates, and low complications rate. ETO turns out to be a safe and effective revision technology. In the article, the indication, contraindication, complications and advantages of this technique were reviewed.

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of preoperative nutritional treatment and perioperative nutrition support for the patients with esophageal cancer. Methods According to the digital table,90 patients with esophageal cancer were divided into the control group(15 cases),preoperative nutrition group(25 cases),postoperation nutrition group(25 cases)and preoperative nutrition + postoperation nutrition group(25 cases). The postoperative quality of life and the complications were compared. Results Postoperative quality of life in the preoperative nutrition group, postoperation nutrition group and preoperative nutrition + postoperation nutrition group were all better than that in the control group(t =14.76,15.13,17.87,all P < 0.05).The incidence rate of postoperative complications in patients received nutritional intervention significantly decreased than in the control group(x2 =9.17,12.13,19.18,all P < 0.05).Conclusion The preoperative nutrition and postoperation nutrition can improve the postoperative quality of life and reduce the incidence rate of the complications.

Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2023;58(2):274-284
Photothermal therapy (PTT) has attracted significant attention due to minimal side effects and high treatment specificity. However, it often requires very high temperature to achieve complete tumor ablation under a single PTT. Such high temperature brings obvious thermal damage and inflammatory response to the body, affecting the therapeutic effect. In recent years, nitric oxide (NO) has been used to significantly inhibit tumor growth and enhance the sensitivity of tumor cells of temperature and drugs, thus enhancing the therapeutic effect. However, compounds as NO donors often have some disadvantages such as poor biocompatibility and untargeted delivery, etc., therefore, this medical application based on NO therapy is limited. In conclusion, the organic combination of NO donors and photothermal agents (PTAs) is expected to overcome the shortcomings of single therapy and achieve the antitumor effect of "1 + 1 > 2". In view of the rapid development of NO combining with PTT in tumor therapy, this review firstly introduces the antitumor mechanisms of different types of NO donors. Then the treatment strategy based on NO combined with PTT is discussed. Finally, the prospects and challenges of this combination therapy strategy in the clinical treatment of cancer are discussed.

OBJECTIVETo explore the clinical application value of Provider-Initiated HIV Testing and Counseling (PITC) by analyzing the positive rate of HIV tests for people in need of PITC and that of routine HIV tests.
METHODSWe retrospectively analyzed the demographic and epidemiologic data about the patients seeking PITC services or undergoing routine HIV tests in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital between January and December 2013.
RESULTSThe positive rate of initial HIV screening was 1.98% in the PITC group and 0.24% in the routine test group, while that of confirmed HIV was 0. 40% in the former and 0.07% in the latter, both with statistically significant differences between the two groups (P < 0.01). The positive rate of HIV was markedly higher in males than in females, particularly in the PITC group.
CONCLUSIONPITC has a high clinical value in HIV detection for targeted subjects and therefore deserves general application in dermatology.

To explore the new method of discriminating Cistanche deserticola, Cynomorium songaricum and Orobanche pycnostachya by using PCR amplification of specific alleles. 30 samples of the different C. deserticola, 21 samples of C. songaricum and O. pycnostachya were collected. The total DNA of the samples were extracted, the ITS sequences from C. deserticola, C. songaricum and O. pycnostachya were amplified by PCR and sequenced unidirectionally. These sequences were aligned by using ClustulW. Specific primer was designed according to the ITS sequences of specific alleles, and PCR reaction system was optimized. Additionally, compare with the identification of specific PCR method and DNA sequence analysis method. The result showed that the 331 bp identification band for C. deserticola and the adulterants not amplified bands by a single PCR reaction, which showed good identification ability to the three species. PCR amplification of specific alleles can be used to identify C. deserticola, C. songaricum and O. pycnostachya successfully.
