International Eye Science 2005;5(6):1110-1113
AIM: Using functional magnetic resonance imaging, to inspect v sual cortex physical reactions stimulated by rotating grating, and to its components. METHODS: On 1.5T MR scanner, GRE-EPI imaging sequence was carried on 9 h discover ealthy volunteers, the visual cortex response data were processed after delinearation by SPM99.RESULTS: Different components of rotating grating excited different areas of the visual cortex. Dramatic response in the central part of the occipital lobe, which was related to white light stimuli, located at primary visual cortex. Response area in bilateral Broadaman 19 areas was related to vision-motion function. And weak response area in the central part of the occipital lobe was related to shape perception.CONCLUSION: Rotating grating conclude plenty of visual information, and it excites different areas of the optic center as a stimuli. fMRI is a valuable equipment to study the physiology of visual cortex.

International Eye Science 2015;(4):605-607
AIM:To establish the murine model of oxygen induced retinopathy ( OIR) and to evaluate the inhibition of retinal neovascularization by erythropoietin ( EPO) blockade.
METHODS: Neonates of C57BL/6 mouse ( P7 ) were exposed to 75%±2% oxygen for 5d and return to normal air environment when 12d ( P12 ) to establish oxygen-induced retinal neovascularization model. The neonates were divided into groups, injected with 0. 5μL solution containing 25ng ( group A), 50ng ( group B), 250ng ( group C) of soluble erythropoietin receptor ( EPO-R) or PBS (group D) at P12, P14 and P16 in the right eye. On P17, the litters were sacrificed and their right eyes were enucleated and fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde, made pathological section. The number of breakthrough internal limiting membrane neovascular nuclei was counted with pathological retinal morphology, understanding theproliferative degree of retinal neovascularization.
RESULTS: The pathological sections showed the neovascular cell nuclei which penetrating the inner limiting membrane in intravitreal EPO receptor injection group was reduced statistically than that in PBS injection group, the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.01). And, neovascular nuclei count differences in the
various concentrations of EPO receptor group was statistically significant (P<0. 01). With the EPO receptor concentration increase, neovascular endothelial cells broken through the internal limiting membrane was reduced.
CONCLUSION: Intravitreal injection of soluble EPO receptor can block EPO and improve neovascularization. The new method is expected to become new treatment of ocular neovascular diseases.

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of three dimensional (3D) laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) in the treatment of obesity combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods The retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted. The clinical data of 28 patients with obesity combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were admitted to the Qinghai Red Cross Hospital between January 2013 and April 2016 were collected. All the patients underwent 3D LSG.Observation indicators:(1) surgical and postoperative recovery situations;(2) follow-up and metabolic indexes changes.Follow-up using outpatient examination and telephone interview was performed to detect complications of patients after discharge and usages of antidiabetic drugs or insulin up to February 2017.Body mass, body mass index (BMI),hemoglobin (Hb),albumin (Alb),fasting serum C-peptide,fasting blood sugar,2-hours postprandial blood glucose (2HPBG) and glycosylated hemoglobin (GHb) were detected at month 1,3,6 and 12 postoperatively.Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as (x)±s.Repeated measurement data were analyzed by the repeated measures ANOVA.Count data were evaluated by the proportion. Results (1) Surgical and postoperative recovery situations:28 patients underwent successful 3D LSG,without conversion to open surgery.Operation time, volume of intraoperative blood loss, time of postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery and time of postoperative drainage tube removal were (133 ± 20) minutes,(45 ± 22) mL,(2.5 ± 1.2) days and (3.4 ± 0.9) days, respectively. There were no postoperative complications and perioperative death.Duration of hospital stay was (7.1 ± 1.5) days.(2) Follow-up and metabolic indexes changes:28 patients were followed up for 6-12 months, with a median time of 8 months.During the follow-up,there was no death or severe complications.Body mass,BMI,Hb,Alb,fasting serum C-peptide,fasting blood sugar,2HPBG and GHb from pre-operation to month 1,3,6 and 12 post-operatively were decreased from (113±26) kg to (78± 14) kg,from (44±6) kg/m2 to (35±5) kg/m2,from (157±19) g/L to (140±13) g/L,from (43±5)g/L to (40±4)g/L,from (2.50±0.37) μg/L to (1.20±0.33) μg/L,from (10.5±2.0)mmol/L to (5.6±0.5)mmol/L,from (16.3±3.1)mmol/L to (7.9±0.9) mmol/L,from 9.2%± 0.9% to 6.8% ±0.6% with statistically significant differences between preoperative and postoperative indicators (F=396.47,328.20,111.10,21.28,161.06,127.80,243.40,234.64,P<0.05),and showing a downward trend.Of 28 patients,25 had complete remission of type 2 diabetes mellitus at 12 months postoperatively and 3 had partial remission, with an effective rate of 100.0% (28/28).The excess weight loss was 63%± 16%.Conclusion 3D LSG is safe and effective in the treatment of obesity combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus, with a good shortterm outcome.

Microbiology 1992;0(04):-
Based on the counting results from nutrition agar in our study, and compared with another two kinds of coliform bacteria detective plates for dinner and drinking sets which were provided by two manufactures and inspected by China National Health Bureau , we accomplished the detectability test of the Huankai coliform bacteria plates. In our study, 3kinds of cell density were adopted: 10cells/mL, 50cells/mL and 100cells/mL . The results shew that the detectability of Huankai plates basically conformed with that of nutrition agar , and was no evident difference from that of another two kinds of plates. The conclusions were that Huankai plates can completely be used in the inspection and test for conform bacteria.

ObjectiveTo investigate the long term effect of different antihypertensive agents on renal hemodynamics with ultrasound Doppler.Methods52 essential hypertensive patients were divided into three groups according to the antihypertensive agent they took: angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitor (ACEI), calcium channel blocker (CCB) and β-adrenoceptor blocker (βB). The blood pressures of right upper arms were measured with mercury column blood pressure gauge using Korotkoff method. Renal hemodynamics were examined with ultrasound Doppler before and after treatment with agents. ResultsSystolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) of all patients were decreased significantly. An significant correlation was found between the deceases of blood pressure and the betterment of renal homodynamic parameters in ACEI and CCB groups, but not in βB group. ConclusionTo a degree, the betterment of renal hemodynamics is correlation with the reduction of systemic blood pressure and mechanism of action of antihypertensive agents.

To evaluate the effect of Hexue mingmu tablets on traumatic hyphema caused by blunt ocular trauma.
●METHODS: Totally 150 patients of traumatic hyphema were divided into seven types by using ultrasound biomicroscopy combining with anterior segment abnormalities, each type was randomly classified as trial group and control group. The trial group was administered Hexue mingmu tablets, control group was treated by hemocoagulase.
●RESULTS: The absorbing time of trial group was shorter than that of the control group. And there was statistical significance between the two groups (P<0. 05).
● CONCLUSlON: Hexue mingmu tablets is an effective medicine to treat traumatic hyphema. Ultrasound biomicroscopy can be used as a routine examination method in traumatic hyphema.
