OBJECTIVETo investigate clinical effects of arthroscopy in the treatment of medial meniscal cyst.
METHODSFrom June 2011 to January 2013, 7 patients with medial meniscal cyst were treated with arthroscopy. There were 3 males and 4 females, ranging in age from 27 to 63 years old, with a mean age of (43.93±2.10) years old. The cysts have been discovered for 3 to 30 months, with a mean time of (10.6±1.3) months. All the patients complained of knee pain, especially in the medial joint gap. The Pisani sign, Caklin sign and medial McMurray sign were all positive. Preoperative MRI examination confirmed the diagnosis. Lysholm score changes and clinical efficacy were observed through a six-month follow-up.
RESULTSThe postoperative Lysholm scores were all significantly higher than the preoperative scores. According to Sarimo standard, 6 patients got an excellent result, and 1 good.
CONCLUSIONArthroscopic treatment of medial meniscal cyst has replaced the traditional method, which could retain the normal meniscus as much as possible and repair the meniscus injury simultaneously, as well as get a good curative effect and a good recovery of knee function. This method is worthy of clinical application.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2011;29(8):690-696
Background Many studies and clinical trials of pharmacologic vitreolysis are already under way to try to improve vitreo-retinal surgery and to liquefy and detach the vitreous from the retina ultimately, including chondroitinase, hyaluronidase, dispase and plasmin. However, there has not been any report on purification of human plasminogen from cord blood plasma and inducing posterior vitreous detachment of the animal eye at present. Objective This study was designed to isolate and purify the production of human plasminogen (Plg) from cord blood plasma with ethanol precipitation and evaluate the efficacy of Plg in inducing posterior vitreous detachment (PVD).Methods Human Plg was Separated and purified from cord blood plasma by ethanol precipitation method. The protein band corresponding to Plg with molecular mass of 92 000 was revealed in SDS-PAGE and confirmed by MALDI-TOF and Mascot database. Anion-exchange chromatography and plasminogen activity assay kit were used to obtain purified Plg with biological activity. Twenty-five fresh pig eyes were enucleated and assigned to 5 groups and 5 eyes for each group. The normal eyes were used as control group. Balanced salt solution(BSS)of 0.1 ml was intravitreally group and standard substance group. All of the eyes were then incubatedfor 60 minutes under the 37 ℃. Retinal histopathology and ultrastructure were examined under the light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy ( SEM ) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Results The Plg with potential fibrinolytic activity was successfully extracted and purified from cord blood plasma by ethanol precipitation method. No posterior vitreous detachment (PVD) was seen in normal control group, BSS group and r-SK group following the intravitreal injection under the sem. However,PVD was demonstrated in r-SK+ Plg group and standard substance group under the SEM. The inner limiting membrane ( ILM ) and the retina were well preserved in all of the experimental eyes. No retinal morphology and ultrastructural abnormality were found under the light and SEM and TEM. Conclusion Ethanol precipitation is a feasible way to isolate and purify Plg from human cord blood plasma. Extracted Plg shows potential fibrinolytic intravitreal injection of Plg.
7. Thoughts on quality standard establishment of Chinese materia medica of reference Chinese herbal pieces and traditional Chinese medicinal materials for characters identification
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2019;50(5):1276-1280
The identification of Chinese materia medica (CMM) characters, an important part of the quality standard of CMM, is one of the overall quality indicators of CMM. It is an old technical problem facing the inheritance and innovation of experience identification of Chinese medicine industry. However, the regulation of CMM characters recorded in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia and other local drug standards and processing specifications are still staying at words description, relying on human sensory judgment, so the operability needs to be improved. This paper puts forward the proposal to establish a quality standard for CMM identification for the use of reference herbal pieces and Chinese medicinal herb for the identification of characters, and provides basic support for the objective digital research of CMM characters identification, which is helpful to improve the quality evaluation of CMM.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2013;(4):362-364
Background With the development of phacoemulsification surgery, the minimization of the size of the incision in order to reduce the damaging of eye tissue and postoperative complications becomes a focus. Objective This study aimed to assess the clinical efficacy of coaxial phacoemulsification type cataract surgery through a 1.8 mm microincision with foldable intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in eyes with age-related cataract. Methods Informed consent was obtained from each patient at the beginning of this study.A serial case observation study was designed.Thirty-two eyes of 32 patients with age-related cataract were enrolled in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People' s Hospital from April 2012 to May 2012,including 8 eyes of grade Ⅱ hard nucleus cataract,16 eyes of grade Ⅲ hard nucleus cataract and 8 eyes of grade Ⅳ hard nucleus cataract.Ocular axial length was measured by an A-mode ultrasonic apparatus, and IOL diopter was calculated using the SRK-Ⅱ formula.Under ocular surface anesthesia,a 1.8 mm clear corneal tunnel incision was made at the 10-11 o' clock position, and then an auxiliary incision was made at the 2 o' clock position. The opaque lens was extracted by routine phacoemulsification. An Akreos MI60 IOL was implanted through the 1.8 mm incision. The time and level of ultrasonic power required for phacoemulsification, postoperative visual acuity and incidence of postoperative complication were assessed.Postoperative examinations were scheduled at 1 day,1 week and 1 month after the surgery. Results All the operations proceeded smoothly. The mean phaco-time was (7.0±3.6) seconds and the mean ultrasonic power level was (15.3 ±6.1)% among the different grades of cataract groups. The number of eyes presenting an uncorrected distance visual acuity of ≥ 0.5 was 18 (56.25%),28 (87.50%) and 30 (93.75%) 1 day,1 week and 1 month after surgery, respectively. The number of eyes with a best corrected distance visual acuity of ≥ 0.5 and 0.8 were 31(96.88%) and 26 (81.25%),respectively,1 month after surgery.Negligible changes were detected in the anterior chamber depths, and no thermal damage was found at the incision during the operation. Conclusions Coaxial phacoemulsification and IOL implantation through a 1.8 mm microincision is safe and effective.Thorough planning and precise execution are necessary.
