Objective To explore the variance of helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection rate in children with recurrent abdominal pain(RAP).Methods By using the()~(13)C-urea breath test(~(13)C-UBT) to detect the status of Hp infection in 1676 children with RAP from 1998 to 2004.Results 1.Total 1676 cases of children with RAP were detected.There were 438 cases showed Hp positive,the positive rate was 26.13%.The infection rates in patients from 2-5,5-10,and 10-14 years of age were 23.66%(84/355),(26.31%)(286/1087),29.06%(68/234),respectively.2.Hp infection rates in children with RAP from 1998 to 2004 were 29.33%(83/283),(28.90%)(76/263),25.76%(51/198),26.01%(56/215),25.81%(48/186),24.45%(67/274),22.18%(57/257),respectively.Conclusion 1.The Hp infection rate in children with RAP increased with age;2.The Hp infection rate in children with RAP decreased year after year.

Objective To analyze the allele frequencies of 5 short tandem repeat(STR)loci(D12S313,D12S304,D12S1640,D12S1708 and D12S1583)on chromosome 12 among Kashin-Beck disease(KBD)patients and the control population living in the area suffered from KBD.Methods Fifty KBD patient8 and 50 non-KBD patients were chosen in endemic afea of Shaanxi Province,5 STR loci on chromosome 12 were genotyped by the technology of polymerase chain reacfion(PCR)and capillary electmphoresis.The pelymorphisms of STR in these popIllations were analyzed.The allele and genotype frequencies of each STR in the corresponding groups were caleulated and compared. Results In KBD group,the 5 STR loci had 8,6,7,5 and 11 types ofalleles and 17,11,15,8 and 28 genotypes, respectively;while in the control group,the number of aUele types of 5 STR loci were 6,8,6,4 and 10,the number of genotype of those loci were 13,21,14,8 and 23,respectively The allele frequence of D12S304 locus was statiBtically significant between KBD patients and controls(P<0.05),especially for the 319 bp allele(P<0.006 25). Conclusion There is an association between D12S304 locus and KBD.The 319 bp allele might play the key role.

Objective: To study the chemical constituents from the root barks of Cudrania cochinchinensis. Methods: The chemical constituents were isolated and purified by silica gel column chromatography. The structures of the compounds were identified on the basis of spectral data (MS, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and 2D NMR) and by the comparison of spectroscopic data with the reported values in the literatures. Results: A new xanthone, 1,6,7-trihydroxy-4-(1,1-dimethylallyl)-3-methoxyxanthone (1) and a known prenylated xanthone 1,5,6-trihydroxy-4-(1,1-dimethylallyl)-3-methoxyxanthone (isocudraniaxanthone B, 2) were isolated from the root barks of C. cochinchinensis. Conclusion: Compound 1 is a new prenylated xanthone. Isomers 1 and 2 are obtained from this plant for the first time. © 2013 Tianjin Press of Chinese Herbal Medicines.

Myopia is the most important cause of visual impairment in adolescents. However, its etiology is complex. In recent years, a large number of epidemiological studies have been done on risk factors of myopia. Most of these studies is cross- sectional study, not longitudinal cohort study. Overall, the incidence of myopia is the result of the interaction between genetic susceptibility and environmental exposure. This review is about the risk factors for myopia.

One of the strain of bivalent HFRS vaccine, Z37 strain was isolated from Rattus norvegicus and identified as SEO virus by serological test. The M segment cDNA of Hantavirus Z37 strain was obtained by reverse transcripti on and polymerase chain reaction, subsequently cloned into pGEM-T vector. The s equence of positive recombinants was determined by the method of dideoxy chain t ermination, which revealed that the M genomic segment is 3651 nucleotide in len gth with a predicated long open reading frame encoding a protein of 1133 amino acids. Comparison with HNT type (76-118, A9, HV-114 strains) indicated that th ere were 71.8%～72.1% homology at the nucleotide level, 76.2～76.7% homology at the amino acid level. Comparison with SEO type (R22,L99,80-39 strains) showed 95.3～96.1 homology at the nucleotide level, 95.3～99.2% homology at the amino acid level. The results of nucleotide and amino acid comparison indicated that Z 37 strain is SEO viruses in molecular level.

AIM: To investigate the effect of low intensity white light irradiation on the retinas of mice.
METHODS: Thirty C57BL/6J mice were randomly divided into two groups. The number of the mice in each group was 15. The mice in experimental group received dark adaptation from 5:00p. m. to 6:00p. m. , and then exposed to LED white light from 6:00p. m. to 7:00p. m. everyday for a month. At 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30d after the beginning, we examed the histology of mice retinas, calculated the thickness of outer nuclear layer ( ONL ) , inner nuclear layer ( INL ) and analyzed electrophysiology of mice.
RESULTS:One month after experiment, compared to the control group, the latency of Rod-R a wave of the mice in experimental group significantly prolonged, the amplitude of Cone-R b wave of the mice in experimental group significantly decreased and the latency of b wave of the mice in experimental group significantly prolonged ( P<0. 05). There are no significant difference in the histology of retina, ONL and INL thicknesses.
CONCLUSION: 100lux low intensity white light could give rise to the impairment of the retinal functions in dark-adapted mice.

Objective: To study the chemical constituents from the fruits of Cudrania cochinchinensis. Methods: The ethanol extract from the fruits of C. cochinchinensis was separated by silica column chromatography, and the structures were elucidated based on spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. Results Two known benzopyran isoflavones were isolated and elucidated as 4'-O-methylalpinmumisoflavone (1) and isoderrone (2). The crystal structures showed compounds 1 and 2 belonged to monoclinic system, the space group was P2 (1)/c, and the 3D-supramolecular structures were accumulated by hydrogen bond in intra-and inter-molecule, π-π deposition, and Van der Waals force. The in vitro inhibition on BEL-7404 and SGC-7901 carcinoma cell lines was investigated and the results showed compound 2 had a distinct antiproliferative activity. Conclusion: Compound 1 is isolated from this plant and compound 2 from the plants in this genus for the first time. The plane crystal structures of compounds 1 and 2 are determined by X-ray crystal diffraction, and the 3D stack structures are also reported for the first time.

Objective To investigate the possible mechanism of curcumin inhibition to murine melanoma growth.Methods Melanoma cell line B16F10 was injected subcutaneously into the outer side of mouse right thigh to establish a melanoma-bearing mouse model.Seven days after the establishing the model, these mice were treated with intraperitoneal injection of curcumin at 50 and 100 mg/kg respectively or RPMI 1640 culture medium as control.Fourteen days later,the mice were killed,tumor weight was calculated;the tumor nuclear factor?B activity and survivin mRNA expression were measured by Western blot and RT-PCR,respectively.Results The tumor weight was significantly lower in the curcumin-treated mice than that in the controls (P
