Objective To study the effect of different therapies for posterior lumbar disc herniation. Methods A total of 8 000 patients with lumbar disc posterior surgery were enrolled in this research at our hospital. The technical points of the patients in different times were analysed. The results of the operation were observed. Results From January 1980 to December 1990,patients underwent laminectomy. From January 1991 to December 2000,patients were treated with laminectomy and semi-lamina.From January 2001 to December 2016,the open window accounted for 86.0%,expanding the window or semi-lamina accounted for 11.0%,and the whole laminar plate only accounted for 3.0%.After 2000,the accuracy of the diagnosis was 98.0%,the excellent rate of operation was 99.8%,the average operation time was(80±15)min,and the blood loss was(100±20)mL.Among them, the rate of I/A healing was 99.8%,dural tear rate was 4.0%,nerve root injury rate was 0.5%,and cerebrospinal fluid leakage rate was 0.9%.The incidence of complications in the cases after 2000 was significantly lower. Conclusion By summarizing the operation technique of posterior lumbar disc herniation, the operation error can be avoided and the incidence of complications of surgical injury can be reduced.
4.Localization of sympathetic center of pulmonary circulation in spinal cord
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(02):-
This study was to localize the position of spinal center of sympathetic nerve which controls the pulmonary circulation in pithed rat model. The sympathetic preganglionic fibers arising from C7-T10 spinal segments were stimulated electrically in succession. During stimulation the pulmonary vascular rcsistance(PVR) was increased in all segments tested, most significantly in C7-T4(about 28% above control value) which was obviously higher than that of Ts-T10. In constract, the systemic vascular resistance(SVR) increased more remarkably when lower segments were stimulated. The higher the stimulated spinal segments, the larger the ratio of APVR/ASVR. The data showed that the spinal center of sympathetic nerve which regulates the vasomotion of pulmonary circulation is located in the segments C7-T4.
5.Hypoxia do not increase EDCFs release from porcine pulmonary arterial and aortic endothelial cells in culture
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(04):-
0.05) found between two groups. Hypoxia did not stimulate ECs to release endothe-lium-derived contracting factors (EDCFs), and the contracting effects of HPEC (16.4%)and HAEC (20%) were similar to that of NPEC and NAEC. These results indicated thatEDCFs released from endothelial cells of pulmonary artery and aorta can induce contrac-tion of PSMC directly and that hypoxia did not increase the release of EDCFs from ECs.
6.Effect of hypoxia on isolated pig pulimonary artery rings with or without endothelium
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(06):-
Hypoxic vasoconstriction was studied in isolated rings of pig intrapulmonary(PA) with or without endothelium. Arterial rings were suspended in modified Krebs' bic-arbonate solution for isometric recording. Hypoxia was induced by changing the bubblinggas mixture in the chamber from, 95% O_2-5%CO_2 to 95%N_2-5%CO_2. When PA ringswere prestimulated with phenylephrine (PE, 2?10~(-6) mol/L), hypoxia could induce contrac-ctions in PA (0.86?0.09g, n=12). Removal of the endothelium decreased the hypoxicontractions of PA significantly (tension increment 0.11?0.03g, n=12, P
7.Comparison of internal fixation and semi-shoulder arthroplasty in treating proximal humerus comminuted fractures in elderly.
China Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology 2013;26(12):992-996
OBJECTIVETo explore clinical effectiveness of internal fixation and semi-shoulder arthroplasty in treating proximal humerus comminuted fractures in elderly.
METHODSFrom October 2009 and October 2011, 32 patients aged over 60 years old with three and four-part fractures of proximal humeral were treated with internal fixation (20 cases) and semi-shoulder arthroplasty (12 cases). In internal fixation group, there were 6 males and 14 females aged from 63 to 82 years old (ranged, 71.50 +/- 5.45), 8 cases with three-part fracture and 12 cases with four-part fracture, and treated with open reduction and locking plate internal fixation. While in semi-shoulder arthroplasty group, there were 4 males and 8 females aged from 61 to 85 years old (ranged, 72.80 +/- 6.80), 5 cases with three-part fracture and 7 cases with four-part fracture, and treated with semi-shoulder arthroplasty. Postoperative complications were observed, EQ-5D was used to evaluate quality of life, and Constant-Murley score was used to assess functional outcomes.
RESULTSAll patients were followed up from 12 to 24 months with an average of 18 months. All injuries were healed at stage I . Two cases in internal fixation group occurred severe complications, including 1 case with screw fracture, 1 case with avascular necrosis of humeral head. EQ-5D in interal fixation group and semi-shoulder arthroplasty group were respectively 0.65 +/- 0.12, 0.67 +/- 0.12, Constant-Murley score respectively was 63.20 +/- 11.35 and 66.80 +/- 11.96, and with no statistical meaning between two goups (P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONThere is no difference in qulity of life and functional recovery for the treatment of proximal humerus comminuted fractures by open reduction and internal fixation and semi-shoulder arthroplasty. However, the complication rate in semi-shoulder arthroplasty was lower than that of internal fixation group.

10.Effect of hypoxia on expression of angiopoietin-2 in human retinal pigment epithelium
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2012;30(9):825-829
Background Choroidal neovascularization(CNV)has been descrihed as a main reason of visual loss in a lot of ocular diseases.Researches showed that local hypoxia and retinal pigment epithelial(RPE) cells play an important role in the formation of CNV.A closely relationship of angiopoietin-2 (Ang-2) and angiogenesis has been proved. However, whether the expression of Aog-2 in hypoxic cultured human RPE cells is associated with the pathogenesis of CNV is still below understood. Objective This study was to investigate the effects of hypoxia on expression of Ang-2 in cultured human RPE cells in vitro, and discuss the possible effects of Ang-2 in the formation of CNV.Methods Human RPE cells were cultured and passaged, and 4-7 generation of cells were used in the experiment. The cells were incubated in cultural plate at the density of 5×107 cells/L.The culture medium containing 200 μmol/L CoCl2 was used to establish the hypoxia model of human RPE cells culturecd in vitro for 0.5,1,2,4,6,12and 24 hours, and the RPE cells cultured under normoxia were as controls.Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) was used to detect the expression of Ang-2 mRNA in cultured human RPE cells, and enzymelinked immunosorbnent assay(ELISA) was used to assay the content of Ang-2 protein in supernatant of cultured human RPE cells. Results The survival rate of human RPE cells was 90% after resoscitation. The fourth generation of cells showed the fusiform with the less pigment in them. The Ang-2 mRNA/β-actin mRNA value in human RPE cells was significantly different among various groups(F=1086.30,P=0.00),The Ang-2 mRN A/β-actin mRNA value in hypoxia cultured for 0.5 hours group began to increase and peaked in hypoxia culture for 4-6 hours group, with the significant differences in comparison with normoxia control group(P<0.05).The Ang-2 mRNA/β-actin mRNA value decreased to the baseline level at hypoxia for 24 hours. The ELISA analysis showed that the concentration of Ang-2 protein in supernatant of RPE cells showed significant difference among groups(F=1034.00,P=0.00).The concentration of Ang-2 protein increased at hypoxia culture for 0.5 hours and peaked at 6 hours, showing significant differences in comparison with the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions Hypoxia could significantly up-regulate the expression of Ang-2 in human RPE cells cultured in vitro.Ang-2 expresses highly in the early stage of hypoxia, implying that Ang-2 participates in the formation of CNV.
