Objective To analyze the stability of chromosome variant ratio of three available transformed corneal cell lines. Methods Chromosome specimens of transformed cells including human corneal epithelial cells(HCE),bovine corneal endothelial cells(BCE) and rabbit corneal epithelial cells(RCE) were prepared by a direct method using regular Giemsa staining. Chromosomes of cells in metaphase were counted under the microscope. Then, the variant ratio of chromosomes and their nuclear types were analyzed. Results The chromosome numbers were 56 to 65, 27 to 34 and 74 to 88 for HCE, BCE and RCE, respectively. Chromosome numbers in the three commonly used and transformed corneal cell lines were changed in comparison to their parent tissues. Conclusion Genotyping study may provide important information for using HCE、BCE、RCE in functional studies.

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of the modified Kock method of bladder re- construction with ileum,and to provide the objective basis for wide application of this technique.Methods A total of 51 patients with bladder cancer(T_2N_0M_0 stage tumor in 37 cases,T_3N_0M_0 stage tumor in 14; and pathologic gradeⅡ-Ⅲin all)were included.After radical cystectomy,modified Kock reconstruction of bladder with ileum was performed in them.The procedure consisted of preparing the segment of the ileum for reconstruction of the reservoir,anastomosing the low part of the neobladder with the urethra and regaining the original urinary conduit.Results The mean operative time was 6.5h(range,5.5-8.5h);mean in- traoperative blood loss was 650ml(range,300-1200ml),with blood transfusion in 31 cases.Perioperative complications included stress ulcer in 6 cases and urinary leakage in 1.The other 44 cases had no severe complications.Four cases died of cancer metastasis at 6-18 months after operation.During a follow-up of 8 -32 months,the other 47 cases recovered well and have been alive till now.Two cases had ureteral urine reflux with no impairment of renal function.The daytime urinary continent rate was 100%;and nocturnal uri- nary incontinence occurred in 6 cases.Conclusions The modified Koek reconstruction of bladder with il- eum can improve the patients'quality of life with fewer complications,therefore is a better treatment choice for infiltrative bladder cancer after radical eystectomy.

To establish a method for the determination of astilbin, peoniflorin, rasmarinci acid, isofraxidin and liquiritin contained in Shaolin Xiaoyin tablets, in order to lay a foundation for designing late-stage dosage forms and clinical medication schemes. In this paper, efforts were made to establish a method for the determination of the blood concentration of the five components and study the in vivo pharmacokinetics in rats. The blood concentration was determined by HPLC. Phenomenex C18 column (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm) was adopted and eluted with methanol-acetonitrile-0.05% formic acid, the flow rate was 0.8 mL x min(-1), and the wavelength was 275 nm. The samples were processed by the solid phase extraction method. After oral administration of Shaoling Xiaoyin tablets, the rat bloods were collected at different time points to determine the blood concentrations. The experimental results showed that the baseline separation could be adopted for the five components, and astilbin, peoniflorin, rasmarinci acid, isofraxidin and liquiritin showed good linear relations within ranges of 2.48-248, 0.213 6-21.36, 0.531-53.1, 0.704-70.4, 0.253-25.3 mg x L(-1). All the five components could be absorbed in blood and excreted quickly. The method established in this paper is rapid and accurate, and could be used for in vivo analysis on preparations containing similar components. The main components in Shaoling Xiaoyin tablets could be absorbed and excreted quickly, and thus suitable to be made into sustained release tablets. Common preparations are required to be taken for 4-6 times a day.

OBJECTIVE To discuss the clinical traits and pathogenesis of uremic pneumonia for early diagnosis to avoid misdiagnosis and give effective treatment. METHODS The clinical manifestation,chest X-ray characteristics and treatment in 33 cases of uremic pneumonia patients were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS In 33 cases of uremic pneumonia patients,27 cases had main respiratory symptoms such as cough,much phlegm and respiratory difficulties. The main signs of chest X-ray were pulmonary hemostasis,pulmonary interstitial edema,pulmonary alveolar edema and pleuritis. In 20 cases of receiving hemodialysis treatment,1 case was dead (5.00%). Objective: To determine protein binding characteri stic and signal transmission pathway of melatonin（Mel） receptor(MR) in human e mbryonic peripheral organ tissues. Methods: MR was measured by radio ligand-binding assay and the effect of GTPγS on melatonin specific bindi ng was studied. Results: Mel specific binding sites were det ermined in 16 kinds of human embryonic tissue and this binding could be inhibit ed by GTPγS, supporting the theory that MR is coupled to inhibitory G-proteins system. Conclusion: MR is measured in human embryo tissue, the se results provide experimental data for elucidating the mechanism of the effect of Mel.
